Nothing but problems, from unfriendly, rude, dismissive and just unprofessional staff to basically not doing their job and not taking any customers needs serious!! Please before you use this CVS for your pharmacy..READ the reviews..Horrible place!! They told us that our prescription would be ready in 1 to 2 days..comes the second day..nothing !! everytime, we would call..it kept saying..prescription in process..got tired of it and talked to someone only to be told that the truck, the truck they thought that would have my prescription..didnt have it!! Say whaatt!! Horrible communication right there!so we were like so when is the truck coming back..here is what they said..: oh. we dont know, its out of our hands now! we were in disbelief !! we finally got our prescription paper and took it to market Street !Shame on all of you!! imagine if that was your family member who maybe needed really important medication..but only to be told..your prescription is out of our hand! Do better !!Your ATTITUDE Is More Important Than Your Knowledge, Education, Connections And Even Your Intelligence
I can not believe the unprofessional staff at this pharmacy. Our insurance will ONLY cover medications filled at CVS, otherwise I would go ANYWHERE but here! Their automated system CALLED ME and wanted me to hold to speak to the staff to update my insurance information. After sitting on hold for 45-60 minutes, I hung up. I drove over and went inside to update my information. The entire time I was waiting, it kept being announced how many calls were waiting. Not one time did ANYONE answer the phone. When it was my turn to be helped, I asked why they werent answering their phones. I was told they ignore them since they are busy. Are you kidding me? 😳 What kind of business does that to sick people? I explained how THEY CALLED ME and she said that I should have just hung up. UNBELIEVABLE. With all the complaints about this, why isnt something being done about it? Or, is the entire company this unprofessional?
Store 07271…..Store manager is obviously burned out (he has been there a very long time) May need to be replaced. You know what they say… when a manager is burned out the rest of the staff get the brunt of it. This store has horrible turnover and horrible reviews….both the store side and the pharmacy is terrible… for example it’s taking a week to get two pills filled. At what point does CVS take action and make needed changes? Support the goals of the employees…provide work life balance…. Support education goals like Target, Walmart, Starbucks and so many others are doing.CVS should also be transparent in their desire to direct customers to use self checkout vs not advertising it. By not advertising, it may appear that employees are rude or not wanting to help….when in fact they have been directed to do so! Customers don’t know that employees were cut and the ones there are to stock floors… so the customers must help themselves at the checkout. Get it together CVS…you are costing yourself more money by not fixing the issues with this store!
This store location 4580 Buffalo Gap Road Abilene Texas, 79606 no. 7271 has/is going down hill fast . To reach someone in the pharmacy, that will not happen ! To fill or refill is taking five to six days . I want to say there was a man as a manager for every in the retail side . Every time I was in store he was working on floor, stocking etc. The manger ( she says is is) now I never see her out on floor . IV asked to speak to her two different times over issues and always have to wait for ever for her to come from back . I will be changing pharmacy!! Such a shame as I live only a few blocks from this store!!! Terrible customer service, terrible .
Just got my sons Rx for his strep…Not a pleasant experience to get your meds fromDefinitely not for your emergency meds.If you are expect that they will call you about your Rx being filled, think again. make sure get the staff members name it may come in handy. This happened 2x already to me.Expect a next day refill kinda pharmacy.
This is the worst cvs I have ever been to. Recently changed pharmacies and am in awe this place has not yet been shut down. They never have your medicine ready on time, I typically go waited anywhere from 30 min to an HOUR on hold, it may would have been longer but I usually would hang up after 45 min. The pharmacy staff were, to kindly say how they were; rude & thoughtless. I hope the regional manager or a higher up hears how horrific this pharmacy is and changes it. It totally turned me off to cvs - which is generally a place I actually really have never had bad experiences with until this one. My uncle was picking my medicine up once and the pharmacy told him the wrong time and got verbally confrontational towards my uncle, who parked and went inside. They amazingly had the med in 10 mins. We live an hour away, it is not easy to deal with a few hour delay when you can’t just run back up there 3-5 hours later than told. Stay away from this pharmacy, is my advice.
I understand why they get low reveiws. Ive been on the phone on hold for 20 minutes to check on a prescription and no one answers the phone. Not good CVS!
The pharmacy is a joke!!!!!! Dont waste your time and or money. Who ever the pharmacist is needs to be replace or monitored or something. We waited for 2 hrs on eye drops and we where at the docs office and listen to them leave it on a vm. Then drove to CVS and waiting and watching the drive threw with low volume of cars and was there for 2hrs and had to still go to the window and ask a third time. Put down your tiktok and do your job.
Dont fill your prescriptions here. Ive gone to Walgreens for years but my new insurance wont accept them so Im TRYING to transfer them here. Its been over a week, Ive called probably 5 times (on hold 10-30+ minutes every time before I finally just hang up) and Ive gone in person multiple times. They still literally have not transferred my prescriptions and Im running out of pills. Ive stood in like with 5-8 people in front of me and watched all of the workers type away on their computers with the phone saying 4 callers in line and they literally ignore it the entire 30 minutes Im waiting there. This pharmacy is absolute trash. The African pharmacist doesnt understand english so he finally gave up on the phone call and told me to just come in person....
Worst experience, and what a nightmare! Been on hold for one hour, even called the cashier, she was very sweet and transferred me to the pharmacy, and I still remain on hold. Never got an answer to my urgent question. Never using this pharmacy again!
Would give 0 stars if I could. Horrible horrible service at pharmacy. waited at least 40 minutes to get prescription at both drive thru and in store. Unprofessional. While waiting for my prescription the phone continued to ring and no one answered any of the waiting calls. The head pharmacist had me call on my personal cellphone to contact my insurance meanwhile when my insurance called the pharmacy they never picked up . Dont waste your time with this pharmacy
Without a doubt, the worst pharmacy in Abilene. Today, my physician called in a prescription at a little after 10. 10:07 to be exact. At 1:30 I went to pick it up. There were 7 people in front of me. After standing in line for almost 30 minutes, the clerk in her unfriendly manner explained she was the only person on duty and it would be another two hours or more before it would be ready. I asked if I could wait and she again told me she was the only one on duty and the drive thru was more important. (Not her exact words but I certainly got the drift.) I would change pharmacies immediately but Walgreens does not accept my insurance. You can bet I will change and leave this pharmacy when the new open enrollment comes around this fall. The problem is the pharmacy has been this way since COVID began. Other pharmacies do not seem to be having this problem. It used to be fun (a happy experience) to visit this store but now it is a nightmare to visit.
Horrible service!!! No one answers the phone . I’ve witnessed while in store phones ringing and they were ignored, I called for 2 hours straight on hold over an hour.. no one in this store seems to care about the poor & rude service! If your understaffed tell us as for the rudeness that is uncalled for!!
Worst CVS pharmacy on the planet right here. Slow, always tell you its gonna be at least 2 days before they can fill a prescription. If I were in charge or on the board at CVS I would start from the ground up here. Dont get me started on the Pharmacy employees either just tear that store down and put something else there. That would be the beat resolution.
Attempted to get a prescription transferred from another pharmacy that did not have the drug. The young lady who took the call was rude, abrupt and made it seem that I was a terrible imposition and inconvenience. Will find another pharmacy. Walgreens is right across the street.
I dont ever want to have anything to do with cvs at all. I honestly dont trust anything to do with pharmacy, hospital or anything but after I decided to get vaccine at this cvs I feel vulnerable even more. They didnt give me anything not even a receipt or an email that shows about my vaccination. I went to the store several times to get my immunization card they told me they havent had a chance to search for my paperwork and they said they will call me and its been two weeks now.
The Pharmacy is Always extremely slow.... like extremely! And they aren’t very friendly at all. The store side on the other hand is great. Sad that the pharmacy drags it down.
Just called about my prescription that was supposed to be filled two days ago.. they said its still processing and that they are TWO WEEKS behind on everyones prescriptions. Find another pharmacy so youre not waiting in pain for processing
Zero stars. Dropped a paper Rx along with my DL and insurance card at 1:50 pm DL & insurance properly return and advised I’d get a text when ready, 2 hrs later I arrived to check in -without a text. The person @ the window asked for the spelling of my first last names and my date of birth four Times!!!!!then said we don’t have anything for you. Then asked for my name and Birthday yet again. I explained I don’t have anything to give you other than the instructions from the Dr since I turned in the script earlier. I shared the document w the lady at the window, she left for a few minutes and came back saying the insurance declined to pay the script that is why it wasn’t ready. So I asked how much, $11.99. I said no problem I’ll pay it, she then asked for another hour. I am upset the blame was placed on my insurance. I never got a text nor a call from CVS telling me insurance wasn’t going to pay, so I could make the decision to fill or decline. This place wasted 3 hours of my time for 5 pills, horrible, horrible service, zero communication Awful placing blame on insurance I seriously witnessed the same behavior happening to customers in the other lane. One lady said forget it this is not worth my time or the fuel to come back. Sadly drove off and didn’t appear to receive needed medication. 😣
Pharmacist in charge shouldn’t be. That is all.
They dont ever have enough staff was on hold for an hour never have your script done in timely manner
Drive through pharmacy is INCREDIBLY slow and no one that works here is very friendly.
Came in on a Sunday morning for a vaccination; was met with very friendly staff who helped me in a swift manner. Will definitely revisit for future pharmaceutical needs!
Ive changed this review to 3 stars. The speed and service totally depends on who is working. I waited about 36 hours for a simple antibiotic one time. Another time, even though they were very busy, they got me taken care of in about 15 minutes. Total crapshoot on whether the pharmacy employees will be friendly and helpful or completely apathetic.
For the past three visits I have found very nice people working here. The majority of people giving bad reviews dont have but 1 review... Go figure? My guess is someone created a bunch of fake accounts and pasted a single review each account. Google needs to remove reviews if an account hasnt been used in about 3-6 months.
What happened here? I went from getting prescriptions immediately, to waiting in a line of 6 plus people that wasn’t moving so I left.
This was the first and last time I will be using this CVS pharmacy or maybe any other CVS pharmacy ever again. I tore a tendon in my wrist went straight from the ER to CVS to drop off my prescription. The pharmacist told me no more than 30 minutes. Left went and sat down in a restaurant and ate, and then drove back over to the pharmacy over 45 minutes later, and the prescription was still not ready. I understand things happen sometimes but then the pharmacist told me oh Im working on yours right now have a seat and Ill call you. 20 minutes later the young lady running the register finally tells me sir I think yours already.oh thank you so much Ive just been sitting here in intense pain with a brace on my arm invisible distress Im glad you had that fun conversation about your weekend. And honestly now Im upset again because I have to give them one star and I cant give them zero.
These people are worthless and rude tell you one thing and do something else.
We needed formula for our grandson on Christmas morning. We called and made sure they were open and had his formula. Very nice customer service. We drove over and got his formula and a few other items while we were there. Kudos to the CVS staff for working on such important holiday so others can still have access to items they need. They even had two checkouts going to make it a quick transaction.
I agree with most reviewers that the pharmacy staff is rude and not helpful. But, the pharmacist is WONDERFUL!! I am not sure of his name, there could be more than one pharmacist but he is an african american gentleman. I have been to this location twice and both times had issues with my insurance not covering medication or the pharmacy techs entered my info incorrectly. Both times he has jumped in and made it right and got my prescriptions filled promptly! He is very respectful and helpful. I will be back only because of him.
The entire pharmacy staff seems to need more training. Some of them need further training in the day to day operations of the pharmacy. Some of them need training is customer service. Extensive training in customer service. I will NEVER step foot in this pharmacy EVER again & I will encourage my friends, family, acquaintances,& clients to do the same.
Worst CVS in the history of pharmacies. Every time I come here it takes hours to get a single medication filled. I don’t know if they’re short staffed or what. Today I dropped off my daughters prescription around 1. I returned to pick it up after 6 and it still wasn’t ready. This is a Thursday afternoon, not a Monday morning. I will never come back to this store.
They have always been kind and and efficient! I have used this pharmacy for 6+ years
Worst CVS Ive ever used and I have been using CVS for over 10 years. This particular CVS for only 6 months and they have never filled one of my maintance prescription correctly. Not one.
I cant recall ever having a problem at this pharmacy. Everyone has been very polite, pleasant and professional.
DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!! it is beyond horrible!!! They don’t care that they are rude, hateful, disorganized!! They will not change. They don’t help you. I dropped off a prescription and they lost it! Stay away from them!
Absolutely the worst pharmacy. I have used them for over a year due insurance purposes or I would have pulled all of my prescriptions by. I have never ONCE had my medicine ready on time no matter how early I send in the script. Not to mention the fact that when they finally do fill them the wait in line is absurd. There had not been one time where I have not waited AT LEASE a half hour, if not more. It doesnt matter the time of day or if you go inside or wait outside, you will wait and you will wait a very long time. I loathe going here and as soon as my insurance switches over I will NEVER shop here again.
Pharmacy was ok at best. While I can understand the skepticism of needing a refill on a controlled substance much sooner than normal, I didnt like the hassle of getting the refill approved. Honestly...the doctor said it was ok, so just fill it. This was after my husbands surgery, and regular pain meds werent cutting it. Other visits, staff just talked to us like were stupid. The extra star is for the front desk. At least theyre friendly.
With a new staff there things have gotten better than before
Pharmacy is seemingly always slow.
Pharmacy staff is very unprofessional. They messed up my prescriptions multiple times due to poor management and laziness- all at the expense of my health. Don’t waste your time. Find another pharmacy that actually cares about your wellbeing.
When TRICARE dropped Walgreens, we moved to CVS. Was really impressed with them early on. Lately, the past year or so, it has gone downhill in a rapid descent. You call in scripts in the a.m., they say that it hasnt been in processing yet and this is at 9 p.m. Almost 12 hours and no processing! They seem to be out of meds constantly or dont even get the script from the doctor. Im tempted to pull my business from this great location but horribly ran store.
Whyyyy its not 24 hours anymore!! I about slammed my face in the doors when I tried walking in around 10pm!! Dang
The ONLY nice thing about this place is that it is now 24hrs and the renovations they did last year made the store look much better. The pharmacy staff very rude and dont sewn to care much. The store staff is no better..just stand st the register and chat. They are really pricey compared to other pharmacies and take MUCH longer to fill prescriptions then Wal..greens. Ive had to wait hours for pain medication and days for my depression medication. Other pharmacies usually fill by next day or pain meds within 15 min.Only reason I go here is because for some reason my mom loves this place. Of course she doesnt realize that the pharmacy down the street always a few cents or.dollars cheaper
We moved to the Abilene area about 3 months ago and began using this CVS due to location. We have had nothing but problems. We have had to wait days for perscriptions to be filled. Some of the staff is slow and fo not follow through. I am pulling all my perscriptions from this location. I am willing to drive across town just to avoid going to this location. The final straw was when my husband called in a refill 3 times. I continued to check at the store to see if it was available. On my final trip I was told that the store was short three pills on the last refill and the doctor could not be called until those 3 pills were picked up. I was asked to cpome back later that day and then charged $1 per pill when the usual script cost $4 for 30 days. I asked attendent to please call doc for refill. It has been 4 days and that is still not done......grrrr. I am done with this place.
Always rude and dismissive. It seems like it doesnt matter that youre the customer and thats what pays your wages. I have stood in line for 15 minutes or more while the employee is in front of me talking on their personal cell phone and ignored customers!
Unprofessional, unorganized, rude, and not worth the time. Ill drive out the way to Walmart before I step foot into a CVS again.
Store staff are very nice and helpful
Close and convenient, but often slow.
I dont know why everyone else has had such a bad experience. This is my favorite pharmacy and I havent had a bad experience yet.
If I could I would give it less i would horrible Pharmacy never works with you always says my insurance wont cover this or that. Ive called they do!
The rudest manager you will ever find.
Staff are rude act stuck up . Ask a question and they act like you are bothering them
Why would it take 3-4 hours to fill an antibiotic?
Staff was rude. Ask to speak to manager and he was worse. I will not go back to this store. There are many other places to shop.
Not open 24 hours as advertised.
Great service
Answer the phone!!!!!!!!!!!
