➡️ Update: The last 2 times we went to this Abilene Donuts place, the shop smelled awful. It was the smell of old, overused, nasty grease. Their donuts also tasted just like the awful smell of old grease and when we got home, that same terrible stench had attached itself to the bottles of milk and juice we had bought there and we could still smell it on the bottles in our fridge 2 days later! I dont see how they havent noticed this, or realized that changing out that disgusting, smelly, ancient grease is loooong overdue!! This should be done regularly...BEFORE you lose all your customers because the smell makes them gag, even days later. Why arent you guys regularly changing out the oil that you cook your donuts in? It COULD be the fault of specific or certain lazy employees, but the owner should be checking the business often enough to correct this issue before the reputation of the establishment goes waaay down. I wont be returning for a long time, and if I ever DO return and it smells that horrendous again, it will be the last time I visit. I hope they fix this issue ASAP. Its extremely nauseating and off-putting. I am changing my original 5-star rating to a 1-star rating until this problem is fixed. 🤢👎🏻⬅️02/11/212️⃣—>> Tried these guys out one more time by having my husband pick up a couple pastries and bottles of milk. The horrible smell from this establishment was still attached to every item that came into my house. So much so, that I threw out my food and had to scrub the plastic milk bottles in dishwashing soap and water so they didn’t stink up my refrigerator. I don’t understand why this is still an issue. I personally will not be going back, unless I need milk or juice during a disaster and can’t find them anywhere else. The donuts are beautiful and delicious. I especially love the apple fritters. 😍 The building is kept very clean and has a great setup. You can eat-in or use their drive-thru window, which is nice when youre short on time or on your way to work. Great prices, too! I definitely recommend the Abilene Donut Shop on Ambler if youre ever on the northside of town! 🍩🌼

Abilene Donuts are the most incredible donuts my girlfriend and I have ever tasted in Abilene. Fact! We arrived at exactly 9 AM. They were so speedy and patient and content with their morning. They had many options for chocolate milk if you are a lover of either Nesquick, Borden, and YooHoo. Very fresh donuts. Thank you. We will be back.

The croissant, donuts and coffee were fresh and delicious.

The owners and staff are great. I come in about once per week at least and they greet me with a genuine smile every time. It doesnt hurt that they have arguably the best doughnuts in town.

Service was superior, excellent value. I had the apple fritter and the bacon, egg and cheese kolache; the kolache was good with one small note of criticism- perhaps offer some with a more flaky and crispy crust, the apple fritter was without a doubt the best U have ever had! Highly recommend.

Maybe it was just a bad day. All businesses have those. I understand. But this is a donut shop. They should not be out of breakfast items before noon. So I decide to move on to their lunch menu. Well that was a mistake. The young girl in the window handed me pen paper and a clipboard and asked me to fill out my own order this is just piss poor I will not go back

Another Sunday morning breakfast stop for my wife and I. The staff is awesome, friendly, and accommodating. The pig in blankets, kolaches, croissants, and donuts are all top shelf. If you like a small amount of heat, their jalapeno and cheese pigs fill the bill...without being too extreme on tbe heat. Their donuts are always fresh. They are fast replacing the other go to donut shop in town. Give them as try...youll be pleasantly surprised.
