I took my vehicle in on a Monday and yes it was completed on Friday of the same week, Doug went out of his way to get my vehicle back to me as I had a fishing trip planned and to rent a vehicle from Enterprise it would have cost me $628.56. Honest, professionals and amazing people. I gave my car for repair and I haven’t only received it back way earlier than the promised date, I paid less money than the initial estimate as well. No difference at all between the pre-damage and after-repair of my 2020 Toyota Camry. The level of customer service was stellar. My daughter was in an accident the end of July. City Tow driver tells her that there’s a great, reasonable collision shop a couple of miles away that can give her a LOANER VEHICLE. Come to find out that not only did they not have any loaner vehicles but the tow truck that came on site was actually an employee of the collision shop. The driver was acting as if he was a separate entity and was helping out, all the while scamming. We get there and talk to the owner who is not only fast talking and making broken promises but never carry through with anything that he said. The car has been there for two months without any work whatsoever so we decided to take it to another location. End up with a bill for over $500 for a tow that was less than 3 miles. Avoid the scamming con artist at all costs. If you’re not using insurance they’ll play you!

Great people Doug,Mary and the whole gang are great and very helpful and friendly.TheySold me a couple of cars. I had no problems. My family and a few friends went there and bought cars. Oh and the body shop is the greatest. They do top work.

This is the worst place my bmw has ever been too I would never ever recommend anyone to this place. They have had my car for over 5 months just to get it back and still not be done?!?! They didn’t replace my airbag and tons of things that wasn’t fixed right or replaced!! My coolant system can’t even hold coolant and run properly because it is busted. It’s leaking and overheats can’t use A/C or heat how I want to I can’t even get a normal car wash because the car wasn’t fix correctly water gets inside my car onto wire and coolant box which cause it’s to start smoking and overflow! Latch to bmw hood is broken they didn’t replace..peices missing out of the engine ..loose radiator so much much more this job was done so unbelievably poorly it’s not even funny. If all this happen to your car you tell me you would be happy. These people are LIARS and SCAMMERS!

Doug is the man!This man is a straight shooter and a stand up guy! My car was stuck in a Michigan flood. I was worried about my car and if it would run the same again. Doug told me that everything was going to fixed and if not better than before. When I picked up my car it looked brand new! Cleaner than when I bought it! When I drove it home I could believe how smooth it drove and the clean up job they did! I will forever be a customer of Downriver Body Works! Brought my 2015 Chevy Cruze in to the have a bumper crack repaired and windshield replaced. They did a great job! I paid out of pocket instead of going through insurance and the price was very reasonable. Ask for Doug. He’s very friendly and honest and will take great care of you. He told me it would be about 3 days till my car would be ready and I had it back after earlier than expected. I will definitely be coming back for any other work I need done and will be referring my friends and family to him as well.

Well Down River Body Works Have been working on my familys cars for years. They have always done an amazing job on all of our vehicles. Just last year my car was damaged and needless to say i was an emotional wreck as i just came back in from Texas. Doug assured me everything was going to be OK even provided me transportation back and forth while my car was getting worked on. Doug and Mary and staff were absolutely amazing in all of this. My car looks immaculate. Looks as though nothing has ever happened. I am forever grateful for Doug and his amazing team...You guys are amazing thank you! I would definitely be bringing Down River Body Shop More Business.

I went in to get an estimate on my car with my mother. While I have no authority on the quality of work, I feel I have enough to leave a review on customer service. Doug was the one who looked at my car and spent at least 10 minutes talking about other mechanic’s, lecturing my mother with many color swear words/sayings about their different scams in order to make himself look better. I had to prompt him to even open the hood to even look at my car or talk about the damage on my car differently. Unprofessional to say the least, I don’t appreciate being talked down to and I further do not appreciate that he hardly addressed myself even though it was clear that it was my car and I was the one paying for it. It got especially ridiculous when he used a metaphor where he called us “worms” because he was really trying to get money out of insurance companies (the big fish) and I was paying with cash. Even more bluntly, he asked me directly what my estimate was from the previous places I visited; maybe he should have just been focused on the car and not the competition? Just on a personal level, if someone has to say “not to be sexist” before they say what follows, then that doesn’t make what follows NOT sexist. If you are a woman, then I wouldn’t go to Doug and further, I don’t know that this is ever someone’s business I would recommend supporting.

I have taken my car to Downriver Body Works for almost 7 years! Its very hard to believe anyone had a bad experience. Doug, the owner, is the most honest and dedicated to making sure your vehicle is safe and to perfection. Mary is welcoming, polite and very straight forward. They let me know the extent of the damage to my vehicle and gave me an estimate BEFORE doing the work to make sure that my finances were available. I thought the little extras they did separate them from any other place. I never ever take my car anywhere else. I appreciate them very much. Whenever you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a welcome. Everyone is always working and you can tell its run like anywhere youd want your vehicle. I would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE :)

I taken my brand new 2015 Mercedes C400 here. It was the first year for the change over. It needed a new fender, bumper cover fixed and headlight. They had it for a week and Doug ensured me that he would take care of it. They did a GREAT JOB!!!!! Looked just as I drove it off the showroom floor

I have never been to an auto shop that was so honest and the staff was so friendly and polite. I took my car in today because my headlights went out and they fit me in, called me with answer to my problem and fixed it the same day. my car was only there a couple of hours. Also the price to fix it was much lower than anticipated. I would recommend them, They are awesome.

I recently had my car repaired here. Doug (the owner) and his staff were very helpful and friendly to me during the whole process. They also offer a free loaner vehicle to use while your vehicle is being repaired. If I ever need more bodywork done, I will be returning to Downriver Body Works.

Had my truck for 3 weeks longer than I was told, forced to get a rental that I had to pay for. Work was so bad that I took it back and the owner agreed it needed to be redone free of charge but I opted not to after they failed the first time. Was told it had new metal in the fixed areas yet you can see body sealer sloppily applied everywhere and rust coming thru the bondo less than a year later supposed to be new metal. No wonder they were so much cheaper. Spend the extra $ and go to a real body shop.
