Cute and quiet. The owner happened to be there when we were. She is super sweet and super passionate. Would recommend anyone to stop there. They have everything. Cold sandwiches, homemade pizza, and a huge selection of hard dip ice cream 🍦.

First visit. Place was charming. A step back in time for sure. The walls were a museum of Antiques, items for purchase. Velvet Ice Cream case full of 12 delicious flavors. Menu was small, but absolutely delicious sandwiches. The staff members were friendly, helpful and very polite, enjoyed this store a lot. It will be on our Sunday rides.

Such a wonderful place to go to locally! The owner is the sweetest lady and makes you wants to come back. Perfect place to get pizza and ice cream. On 05/15/2021 their was live entertainment from a wonderful gentleman and woman. I always find myself looking for a reason to come back!

I absolutely love this place. We go here whenever we are close by. We stop and get ice cream every so often as they are the only place that serves Milky Way, which is one of our favorites. The people here are always so friendly and the place is so quaint that it keeps you wanting to take another look around. I hope this little piece of heaven on earth never goes away. Its like a step back in time mixed with a modern day food fix.

Great little place to stop. History, icecream, pizza and more. Few of us were on our bikes was a great place to stop have some icecream and everyone was very friendly.

We enjoyed great subs along with fun sodas and kettle chips. It is fun to browse through an eclectic mix of items while picturing the old general store in its heyday.

Olivesburg General Store is quaint. In the area it is known for its selection of ice cream. They also serve fresh made pizzas, subs, and a few other items. A large part of the store is devoted to household craft items. There are places to sit inside just to take in the ambience of an old fashioned general store.

Tia is a heartfull person who genuinely cares about people and serves great tasting gluten free pizza and delicious icecream concoctions! This little store is very cute with old school candies and more. Definitely recommend stopping here to check out the store and try their great tasting food!

This is the cutest little store filled with games, crafts, food, and ice cream. We had the veggie delight pizza and a chicken ranch calzone, sooo delicious. This is definitely is a must visit!!!

Mouthy punk slicing cheese needs to be fired. Seen myself and 3 people with me and ignored us like we werent there. Then, when I asked him if anyone was able to get us some ice cream he says we have other things to do.

Use to be our favorite spot after shopping in Plankton...it was just a big disappointment. The nuts on the sundae were old,tasted awful.. and after letting one of the people who were working know about it,all they did was have us pick off the nuts,and add more whipped cream on it.. very poor customer service.And they mustve switched ice cream or something,because it was very gritty tasting... Overall,just very dissatisfied and probably wont be going back....

Perfect, classic little country store with quick convenient essentials. GREAT ice cream in the summer time, hand scooped!! Pizza and sandwiches are definitely suitable if you dont want to drive all the way into town. Not a bad beer and wine selection either considering the type of store and where its located.

What a fantastic place! It was a lovely step back in time. The kids all enjoyed choosing their own candies, rocking in the chairs while playing checkers, and having a great lunch. We will most definitely be back!

Fun General Store. Unfortunately for those with handicaps the bathroom is down a flight of stairs.

Its a beautiful stop to visit Olivesburg General store really stepped into the past,the residents of this town are so friendly, alot of the items in the store are locally made or produced, its wonderful.

I love taking a nice country drive and I always stop at the Olivesburg store. They make great comfort foods to order as well as have country crafts and items upu just wont find in box stores.

My aunt and uncle Noami and Al Reid used to own olivesburg general store in the 60s to probably the early 90s or so. I spent a lot of time visiting and playing at this historical business. Loved this place

This is a newly updated 1840s General Store. Don’t miss this place. Sometimes there’s live music at no charge. There’s a new ‘beer barn’ inside - walk in cooler with good craft beer. Delicious Deli sandwiches, calzones & pizzas. Oh and ice cream, shakes and malts. Friendly service also a plus!!

I just had a Italian Sub from OGS. It was the BEST Italian sub I have eaten in a very long time.I try to make a point to support mom and pop oerations. They are vital to our local economy.And OGS is a perfect reason to do soPlease support your local businesses. Mr Bezos doesnt need your money.

This store holds so many childhood memories! One of my favorite places to take my daughter to. Tons of history to be had, and hands down the best icecream.

Old time services and food.

They didnt have the beer i wanted but that didnt stop the staff from making sure I left satisfied. Wonderful little stop, souvenirs snacks, just about anything you might need. I didnt eat there but the food looked great.

When I was growing up we would be going to church and we would stop here and get bologna and cheese. Get bread from Amish. We would also go to this general store and get mint chocolate chip ice cream, was the best. Now I still stop by now then when I am in the area. Still same wooden floor.

First time Ive ever been in their store. I think its very cool and nostalgic. Lots of old photographs . Old timey candy, the good stuff. Lollipops with ant, scorpion in them. Dried crickets in a variety of flavors. Ice cream, lots of good stuff.

Olivesburg General Store is one of Ashland Countys greatest gems. The decor captures the history of what makes this area so unique and is the oldest General Store in Ohio! The beer selection is absolutely phenomenal. Above all else, the pizza is some of the best Ive had in my entire life!

I saw this on a FOX 8 morning show several times. Finally I got to stop in, WOW. Talk about a step back in time, it was amazing. Hand dipped ice cream was awesome and purchased a painting done by a local artist that so beautiful. Cant wait to go there again and actually Christmas shopping comes to mind and prices are cheap compared to other places I have been. Ad candy I Ave not seen since childhood!

Little update pizza is great. We make a point to drive 1 1/2 hours every now and then just to have some pizza and ice cream from this great place.

We recently stopped in on the way home from the Reformatory. It wasnt my first visit by far, but this time I tried a chicken bacon ranch sub. I think its fair to say that it was the best sub Ive ever had. Ever. My fiancé had a calzone which he also really enjoyed. The workers were extremely kind as well. This summer we plan to return for more food and ice cream. Highly recommend!

The Olivesburg General Store has always been fantastic -- its incredible now with the new ownership and new energy! Music, events, beer, craft beer on tap, fresh pizza, ice cream, cookie cutters, snacks and a great positive atmosphere! Its always nice to go in and see whats new! Everyone is incredibly nice and helpful! If I could give the Burg more stars, I absolutely would!!

While certainly in rural Northern Ohio, Olivesvurg General store is an amazing step back in time. If ever in the area, stop in for a great deli style lunch and great ice cream. Take in the amazing architecture of an era long gone and peruse the stores antiques and awesome gifts. Take a moment and appreciate being greeted by kind and friendly staff and simply enjoy your visit to a time seemingly long gone.

Found this little place on a fluke one night from a detour. Walked in 15 minutes before they closed and was the most welcoming atmosphere. The owner herself was there and treated us more like old friends than customers. Since discovering this little treasure we make it a point to stop in weekly for fantastic deli meats and cheeses plus our daughters love the giant pickles and selection of old time and current candy. Today the Olivesburg General Store even saved me by having a gas pump! I tell anyone about this little gem and encourage anyone to stop in!

Such a neat little place with all kinds of things. They have the best ice cream and an awesome Deli. I love how they have the wall of candy with a lot of Old Time Candy on it too!! Not to mention the staff are really nice and helpful

Always a great place to explore or just stop by for bread and milk. A very unusual selection of candies, cookies and other baked goods. Quite a variety of odds and ends that are useful around the house and especially in the kitchen. You can sit and visit like the old time general stores or order a great pizza to go. It would be hard not to enjoy a visit with such nice folks.

Stopped in for a roll of the dice there for RideNRoll and got a mix of lunchmeat and cheese and some amish jerkey. Very nice people! Thanks!
