This is the 5th time Ive been there and was charged taxes on food. State of Maryland only charges taxes non food items, with the exception of soda and prepared foods. The only food items that get taxed are soda and any prepared foods. Ive brought this to their attention every time its happened and Im told they charge taxes on everything. THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW! I bought 6 cupcakes that were $0.50 each. Total should of only been $3.00. I was charged $3.18. Im contacting the IRS about this store!! I have my receipts to show and Ive saved them. Just erks my nerve for the 5th time and Ive told them every time that they cant charge taxes on food items unless its soda or prepared foods. I hope they get shut down.... Im not playing anymore, Ive worked retail over 15yrs. I wont stop til i get thia taken care of. 😠 😠
