I received my first tattoo a few years ago from old anchor. By the owner. The tattoo itself was ok the colors wasnt as vibrant as what I wanted. I was told when it came time if I needed a touch up it would be free. I tired and tried to call for my touch up and I kept getting told the owner wasnt in that he worked in kzoo most the time. So I kept getting pushed aside and never was able to get my touch up to this day. If they had followed through with touch up maybe this review would be diff..
When I went to schedule an appointment for one of my tattoos to get redone, this dude chance scheduled me for Thursday at 3 pm, it was Tuesday when I went and scheduled.When I went to the shop on Thursday, there was only one person there, and she told me that chance was on lunch, and she was about to go as well!She left, and I stayed there for another half hour waiting for my “artist” to show, and chance STILL didn’t show up.Plus, to top that all off, it was gonna be $200, and I already had payed $50 in advance on Tuesday, because that’s what he told me I had to pay that day.I ended up leaving and driving home pretty upset.Don’t recommend

The guy (dont remember his name) who pierced my belly,button as well as my sister and friends belly buttons pierced them crooked. Like, super crooked. My sisters wasnt even done at the same time as mine & my friends. Better luck at Cereal City.
I can’t remember the ladies name who pierced me but she was very nice I was nervous and she made me feel at ease. Only thing I can complain about is I got a hoop put into my rook instead of a curved barbell and it’s had an awful time healing because it just keeps moving around. I plan on coming back soon to get it changed and another piercing

Excellent experience when I took my daughter for her first tattoo. Though my daughter wanted a tattoo on her chest the artist told her he does not recommend a frontal tattoo. He gave her a small tattoo on her back shoulder that looks very good.
I got mine done over 20 years ago. All still look good but one. They said there lifetime warranty on there work back then. I should go check.
This was my first tattoo. I was very nervous. Chance was GREAT! He drew exactly what I wanted. He did an excellent job and really helped relax me. I will be going back there again.
If i had to pick a shop to go back to to get another tattoo id go here vs any other shop in battle creek. I have 2 tattoos from this shop and got my nose pierced there as well. Piercing was the best experience. My last tattoo the artist was pretty rude but the work is flawless.
I’ve been here twice for all three of my tattoo’s the staff there are nothing but professional and very nice. If you have any questions wither it’s small or complex questions they will answer them as well as they can. As a walk-in both times they were very quick at fitting me in between appointments. And amazing low pierces.

Very happy with my rook piercing! This is an EXTREMELY clean and professional facility. In order to prevent the spread of germs, a coffee cup wasnt even allowed to be sat on a counter! Great experience.

Sunny Pierced my nose almost 2 years ago and it healed up great, Bo did my diabetic tattoo and he did a wonderful job. they both made me feel very comfortable during both of the processes. I would recommend them to any one looking for piercings and tattoos.

Sunny pierced my nose on Friday. She is incredibly charismatic which helps a great deal when youre nervous. The procedure was very quick with minimal pain. My nose is very happy and has had barely any soreness. The facility is clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend. THANK YOU!

Seth was great from beginning to end, enhanced the reference art I gave him at the beginning. Friendly throughout the tattoo, even stayed after hours to finish it up. When I was done got to my car and it wouldnt start he jumped it for me also. Happy Customer will return
My girlfriend went here yesterday and got a piece done on her arm and it is not symmetrical at all. There is things missing in it, and the shading is not as good as it could be, also the lines arent very clean. I really wouldnt recommend this place. Which really sucks because some of the people were great! Although, Bo didnt really seem to care about being there, any time the phone rang, he seemed upset, and he would rather watch a movie than do something that is actually his job.
Seth is a moron that shades halos in who Shades halos? You gotta be kidding me I gave him a piece of art to reference and he got that wrong I couldnt believe it especially since I told him to stick with the reference art as closely as possible I dont remember shading in the halo. What kind of artist thinks a halo needs to be shaded in and along with that The Rays shooting out of the halo looked like candy corn I couldnt believe it again how can you f*** up a halo twice? Its funny though because the rest of the piece was pretty much exactly like the reference art and the rest of it was actually good job but you completely get rid of all your credit by f****** up my god damn halo!

Ive gotten 2 tattoos there, and my friend has. Ike did my first one but he moved and I was scared to get my next one done there but Seth did it and he was awesome and friendly and stayed within the budget without drawing up a crappy tattoo all 3 times. Definitely will go there again
Had my very first tat done on Sunday 8/12. Was very apprehensive as I am not a tattoo person but I wanted to honor my late nephew. The piece was done by a visiting artist who was very helpful in relaxing me and very professional and meticulous about showing her sanitary tools. That part earned them 3 stars. Later I realized that it had been done backwards and I simply messaged the owner on Facebook privately and asked if there was a way to correct it. In viewing the Facebook page, I saw a very petty and immature argument feed going on (one of many) between the owners and customers. I was highly unimpressed with this from a business. To actually even threaten to sue for defamation when people are stating facts and giving their opinion.. I tried to message again and it said I couldnt respond. I assumed I had been blocked. I tried going to their Facebook page and realized that the entire page has been removed! Will I go back? No, due to the obvious immaturity and unprofessional sorry attitude. Will I recommend them? No.. even if they did the best art on Earth.

I paid for a purched butterfly tattoo back in 2007 and the artist did a horrible job. I told him it wasnt good and he said he liked it but who cares if he liked it. I wanted a purched butterfly not a flat weird looking one that he tattooed instead. If he would have drawn it right it would have looked great but instead he messed it up and wasted my money to get it.

The tattoo I got is a butterfly and omg the color is amazing its bright detail is Phenomenal the tattooist cooler then heck to talk to I was told many bad stories about this place but those stories are all lies the truth is about this place very clean and I cant stress that enough so clean in fact that I watched him change his gloves and wash his hands like 3 times everytime he did a new thing which is so many times I lost count they make sure you witness them put the needle they just used on you in the locked box for that stuff they definitely take clean to a whole new level I will definitely be going ba k there for my tattoosPs. Clean environment, nice people, it was a great experience. They checked out my piercing another shop had completely messed up, took it out for me, cleaned it, and gave me great instructions for what to do now.
I have only ever gone here to get peircings andevery time I walk away loving them! I have never had any issues with any of my peircings from here, until my most recent one. It became a little infected and they had to lance a bump off of my ear. Since having it lanced it has healed up really well. I would highly recommend going here for peircings. They hands down provide quality services and are always extremely willing to help if something is wrong!!

Went in today to get my first tattoo i showed Brian the picture of what i was looking for and he draw something much better, my tattoo turned out perfect, way better than what i was picturing I got my belly Button pierced litter over a year and a half ago, no pain very clean and friendly. My parents go their all the time, i deff will go again.

Everytime i have went into Old Anchor they have been rude and unprofessional. I dealt with one young guy with blonde hair and gauges yesterday, no idea what his name is, but he was a complete a**hole. I dont even want to guess what they rest of them are like. On top of the horrible things ive already heard about them, they are no doubt just going to continue losing business with people like him working there. I see Old Anchors business becoming a replica of Gashs very soon.
