Very poor service, there were no dresses available that were advertised on the website. Would recommend that they update their site. We left after 20 minutes. The lady serving us was rude particularly about other places to buy dresses. She said I wouldnt get the dresses I wanted (I did in another store on the same day where the service and experience was excellent!). The lady had a bad attitude with us as soon as we arrived, it seemed she didnt want to help us.

Bought one of the most stunning dresses in here. Staff were beyond helpful, and offered a ridiculously quick turnaround on a dress I need altered for an event... fast, friendly, and the alterations were perfect and cost effective.

Does not deserve a bad review! After really bad experiences in other shops I walked in and was seen immediately they listened to what i wanted and every dress i put on i loved! It made my day and I walked away with a gorgeous dress. So happy with the experience and the range of sizes, styles, tiaras and veils! Thanks so much ladies!

Lovely dresses but didnt have that wow factor. The person doing our appointment was half an hour late so first impression is already not good, the fitting/show room are very small and very close together, there was another group there and it just didnt make the bride to be feel very special. Staff are attentive but not excited for her. Extremely disorganized, another group came in while our fitting was on and it just felt awkward.

The staff are excellent, really went out of their way to help us choose the perfect dress. Roberta was brilliant :)

Staff in this shop have the completely wrong attitude for the job they are in. They are so ignorant and rude. Had an appointment for 2pm in this shop to try on bridesmaid dresses and was out of the shop by 2:10pm!!! They staff had no interest what so ever and not helpful at all when they were told what we were looking and when the wedding was and where! Completely outraged at the way we were treated, no privacy at all either!! WOULD ADVISE ANYONE WHO HAS AN APPOINTMENT TO CANCEL AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!

I had only been to two other shops before and had already nearly given up, on the advice of my mum we decided to try Jean Millar. We called early on a Saturday morning without an appointment, but due to a cancalation they fitted us in. The first dress I tryed was perfect, but the staff member took the time to try on another 7-8 dresses to make sure this was the one. Better still the dress was £700 cheaper than the previous dress I had picked in another store. The only thing was having to walk through another wedding fitting to get to my section, but really this didnt bother me at all. I would really recommend, esp if your on a tight budget and want the perfect dress without the £1000+ price tag.

The ladies were so helpful when my daughter was getting her bridesmaid dress fitted.

I booked an appointment for today and when myself and my bridal party got into the shop, from we got into the room the two ladies there was no help what so ever and it felt like they didnt have time for anyone or wanted to know anything. No privacy at all when my bridesmaid was trying dresses on and my appointment was for 2pm and at 2.10pm we walked out due to the workers attitude . I WOULD ADVICE ANYONE THAT IS THINKING OF BOOKING APPOINTMENT TO GO ELSE WERE. customer service is ridiculous.

Couldn’t be more disappointed with the service in which we received from the offset from 2 members of staff.. We arrived for our appointment at 2pm and were told to go upstairs and wait, the first member of staff came up and started picking dresses from a small rail, when we got up to browse the selection she told us no! The member of staff then asked when the wedding was and what we were looking for, when told that the wedding wasn’t for another while but we wanted to try on different types of dresses to get an idea of shapes she just turned her nose up and automatically didn’t want to show any interest in helping, which was highly evident. She then disappeared and another member of staff came to assist us, again we were asked the same questions and when we had given the same answers the second member of staff reacted exactly the same as the first! Me and another bridesmaid found a dress which we liked so tried them on, there was another bridal party in at the time yet without any privacy we were taken past them handed the dress and shown the dressing rooms. We then had to step out infront of the other bridal party unzipped to help each other as the member of staff had walked away without even offering any help! She then proceeded to imply that we were basically wasting our time as the dress we had shown a liking to “ would be going out of season and satin would be coming back”. We as a bridal party agreed that the staff seemed uninterested in our custom, showed little to no interest in us as customers and quite frankly couldn’t have been any ruder if they tried! As a result we left the store by no later than 2:20pm! I would advise anyone even considering booking an appointment to browse the range to think again! Staff extremely rude and unhelpful!

Awful shop. Dont waste your time. I purchased a dress here and regretted it the moment I gave them the deposit. They seemed helpful and friendly until they got my money and it all went downhill from there. They got the alterations wrong overcharged me and ordered in the wrong accessories but insisted there was nothing they could do. They couldnt care less that they caused me so many problems. Simply rude and unhelpful staff and very shoddy dress alterations. Dont waste your hard earned cash.

My bridesmaids and I were not allowed to pick dresses of our liking as we were told they had been discontinued I was then asked when the wedding was, when told that the wedding wasn’t for another two years but we wanted to try on different types of dresses to get an idea of shapes as i have six bridesmaids... she automatically didn’t want to show any interest in helping us. The staff made my bridal party feel really unwelcome as well as uncomfortable ... The two women were implying that we were wasting our time as the dresses we were looking at would be out of style by the time I get married. We as a bridal party agreed that the staff seemed to showed little to no interest in us and within 30 minutes of the appointment we wanted to leave. Due to the terrible service Jean Millar lost out on our custom as later that day we found a dress that we all loved which I ordered six of!! ... I also had my flower girl with me who is only Two years of age ... and when we asked could she use the toilet we were told “they were for staff only” I would strongly advise anyone even considering booking an appointment to reconsider!!

I have to say I had a great experience in jean millar they couldnt of been more helpful, to picking the dress to the alterations, nothing was too much.
