I have been going to this TSO location for probably 10 years. Been happy with drs and glasses...a little pricey though.I arrived for my appointment today and was late. I am usually a punctual person, but stuff happens. Was told they have a 5-minute late policy and that I would not be seen unless I took an appointment with a different Dr and waited almost 25 minutes. I was shocked . I expressed that I had been coming there for years, and then they are pulling this on me? She stated that the drs had to stay on schedule. Needless to say, I turned around and walked out.I live 45 minutes from TSO. Last year I had to come in five times before they got my lenses right. Total time on the road...7.5 hours, plus my time and frustration. But I came back this year to give them another chance because i was foolish enough to believe that loyalty matters. I will never go back again.

Changing my review to one star, was skeptical when I realized they were under new ownership and for good reason it turned out. When I arrived for my appointment the associate enforced ridiculous covid protocol. She insisted that I remove my mask that is multiple layers of fabric for a thin made in China variant that they provided. I explained that I had recently had covid and was immune for at least 3 months and that I would not be changing masks. The employee insisted and I explained i would be leaving. I had come here for years and wont be returning.

I absolutely love TSO in Bryan. I wish I could give them more than just 5 stars!! They got me in right away when I was a new patient and take care of insurance/billing stuff with ease. Recently, I was able to make a same day appointment when I had a small infection in my eye and they took care of me right away. Dr. Cole and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and genuinely care about their patients. I was referred by a friend and will recommend TSO to anyone!

You can find less expensive care--but not better care. I have been using TSO since I got my first pair of contact lenses in 1973. Occasionally because there was not a location where we lived, I have had to try other eye care businesses, but I am very happy now to able to regularly go to the TSO in Bryan. They always make you feel like you are a person they care about rather than a number in line. You can trust their service and promises and their exam equipment is up to date and their technicians professional. Their optometrists make you feel like they care more about you and your eyes than just selling you glasses.

This was my first visit at TSO Bryan, but I have been wearing glasses or contacts since childhood. My eye exam was very thorough and conducted in a professional manner, by the technicians and the Doctor. My visit involved some choices about treatment and the options were explained and questions answered. I am pleased with the experience and look forward to continuing care at their office. 👍

Dr. House was very thorough, knowledgeable, and informative. He took the time he needed to examine our daughter and never once rushed us through the process. He freely welcomed questions and made us feel very comfortable and confident with our decisions/treatment plan. Dr. House provided excellent service and was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend Dr. House for your eye care needs!

Awesome place! Front staff is extremely friendly! Dr. Briton is nice, courteous and real! She let’s you know how things are and is completely open and communicative. I love visiting the eye doctor here! Even the ladies in the optic center are fabulous! Super helpful and knowledgeable!

Everyone at this office is so nice and accommodating! Dr. Cole was awesome and has a great sense of humor. I will definitely be using them as my regular eye care facility. Cant say enough good things about the entire staff!!

Dr. Bruton is an incredible optometrist. She takes the time to get to know her patient and explains patient specific situations easily and concisely. I am very appreciative of her service and we are lucky to have her here in our community.

Everyone was so friendly and courteous to both my dad and me. My dad suffers from dementia. Even though he couldnt cooperate with all of the testing, the technician was kind and patient. The doctor (Dr. Gibbs, maybe?) was great with dad, explaining things patiently and thoroughly. Julie, who helped with dads frames and ordering his new glasses, understood that we wanted a quality pair, but didnt want to break the bank. She was amazing with my dad. All in all, a great experience! Thank you kind folks at TSO!

Great customer service. The doctor and technician were very informative and explained everything to me. Dr. Cole reviewed all the results of those test and answered all my questions thoroughly.

Ms Bruton is awesome.. I really appreciate her time with me and working to find the right contact prescription for my eyes .. I wear distance in one eye and multifocal in the other and she is the only one that always seems to be patient and finds the correct script...

Absolutely amazing, fast and quality service provided by the whole staff at TSO. Dr. Bloomingdale was spot on with my prescription and genuinely cared for my comfort. Laura w/ TSO was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! She was soooo sweet and answered every question with detail. She definitely made my whole appointment run as smoothly as it did. They adjusted my glasses for free. Customer Service is amazing and professional!

I am very upset on how communication has been during the stay at home orders. I have been out of contacts for a month with no way to order any since TSO has my prescription. . I sent in 2 emails as well with no return and tried calling every week for a month with no way to leave a voice mail. I do not need an appointment or to come in. Just to have more contacts ordered. As soon as I can change eye doctors, I will be doing so to one who will return my calls or emails during the pandemic.

Dr. House is the best! Years ago, after several optometrists in the BCS area could not help me because my astigmatism is too high to rate on any machine, I found Dr. House. He goes above and beyond to work with me until he gets me seeing 20/20. I just got new glasses with an updated prescription, and again, he did an outstanding job. 100% recommend!

The staff at Texas State Optical in Bryan are all amazing. They made our visit quick and super easy. My family and I look forward to visiting again in the future!

Dr. B is the absolute best! She is so caring and always addresses thoroughly any issues I have. I never ever feel rushed during my appt. I feel love Le she really listens and works her hardest to solve my problems. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend them enough, the front desk staff is amazing and the dr I saw (Im horrible and forgot his name) was great, he actually explained everything to me and made sure I understood vs just running through everything super fast.

This place is really thorough with the eye exam. Doctor Jason cole is very knowledgeable about all lenses/contacts. The only thing is be sure to check out the frames and see what your insurance covers. My lenses came out pricey, but that is because i got the AR lens. If your looking for affordale lenses, you might just stick with getting the prescriotion for your glasses. Most of the glasses they had were brand frames $100 and over. They were really nice. I love my glasses I chose. Just giving you a heads up. Definitely would go back for the thoroughness and friendly staff!

I have nothing but good things to say about TSO. Every employee I have interacted with is kind and goes above and beyond to make my experience a great one. I have been seeing Dr. Bruton for four years and every time I see her I have a wonderful experience. She always gives me her undivided attention and seems to remember things about me even if it’s been a year since my last visit. She is always willing to go the extra mile, especially when things are changing with my vision. I have never had an eye doctor that I enjoyed so much, and I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 8! I would highly recommend this practice to anyone searching for an eye doctor, and specifically Dr. Bruton if she has openings. She is the best!!

Definite AVOID! After searching for eye care providers in BCS that took Eye Med Insurance, I settled on this location, since it was near my dentist. I picked out a new pair of glasses with the help of an employee who seemed relatively indifferent about the whole thing. When I presented my insurance card she told me I dont think we take insurance for those because it has to go to a specialty lab. So, big waste of time, but it sounded fishy so I investigated further. Long story short, I confirmed with my insurance company that I was covered and that the location was supposed to take my insurance, Eye Med told me to have TSO of Bryan call them.When I told the manager of this fact she refused to call Eye Med, told me it was store policy, and blew me off. I will never do business with another TSO again - ESPECIALLY this one - the employees are rude, and they decide when and if to take the insurance they advertise as accepting, even when the insurance provider is telling you they are supposed to take it. I have already informed Eye Med of the situation and hope they will investigate. In the meantime - if you have Eye Med - go elsewhere. You have a lot of options - exercise them, these people just arent worth the time and hassle.

Amazingly professional. The office looks clean and well maintained. The office staff were extremely helpful trying to sort out our insurance mess. The lady doctor, Dr.B(something) was great. Emily the nice lady who walked me through the eye tests and helped me pick out the glasses was awesome, if she is not a doctor yet she should look into it, she has a respectful and pleasant demeanor. To add to the experience, a nice lady in the office tried to get ahold of my vision insurance when I was unable to find my ID card. I wish all doctors had high standards like this office. The staff was ready for me, at my afternoon appointment time, and the whole process was efficient and concise.After visiting the TSO in College Station to make an appointment, I was not impressed. I see not all TSOs are ran the same way and I will definitely be back to the TSO in Bryan.
