Mavis Tires and Brakes is one of the best places to bring your car to be serviced. Every time I come here everyone one of the employees helps me with whatever I need and are so friendly. They’ll try their best to accommodate your needs in a timely fashion which is great as well. Definitely bring your car here if you haven’t yet, I certainly will when I’m in the area!

I would give zero stars if I could. Took my daughter 2013 Chevy Cruz in Sunday for tires. We waited but that was no problem until……. She drove it home and the tire light on the dash showed each tire showed several different air levels and I mean none of them matched. It was bad. So she took it back Monday and they put air in all the tires. Right? Wrong! The right passenger tire started reading 29psi and she took it back in. I was told that they had to put a part on it. They had the car from 8:30am today. No one called. So i did because my daughter called me. I was told the car was ready. I asked what was wrong because I am part owner of the car and I was told that the guy would tell me when I got there. So I said to Mike don’t they report what had to be done and Oh that part that you put on there without telling anyone that you had to put a part on there is free right? Then he put another person on the phone. So I was told yes the part was free and the car is ready. I asked was there a test drive and i was told no because it was still holding the air. Ok?! My daughter went to get it and guess what the tire isn’t holding pressure and they say they put air in the back passages tire and the front passenger tire is not holding air and they can’t get the light to go off. Really? This is the first and last time I will be going here ever again. All I ask is that they fix what they broke.

Yeah they replaced the tires and wipers fine, but the tech broke my hood latch & didnt tell me. It flew open on the freeway and smashed my windshield. Glad I didnt die. Would NOT recommend.

I went into Mavis Tire to get the seal fixed in my car and I am very satisfied with my experience. I was helped by a worker named Gabe and he was very nice and professional, and he got it fixed very quickly. I am very happy with the service I received and will definitely be going back!

I purchased a full set of tires front alignment lifetime balance and rotation and road harzard for my fathers car about 3 years ago, I recently had front end work done control arms sawy bar links rack and pinion inner and outer tie rod ends installed front alignment done I took the car to this location for tire balance and rotation I was informed that the car needed new control arms sawy bar links new front brakes and new rear brakes two new tires front sturts and new shocks which I already knew for a total cost of over 2500 I took the car to Crestwood location and all the car needs is a new rim for one tire one this was a very honest location and now its not I will be taking my business to the Crestwood location for now on

Went on a Sunday, they were a lil busy & short staffed so the wait time was a bit long which was understandable. One of the service guys look like he came in straight from Church to help out & went right to work lol. Overall was satisfied with the price & the service & would use them again no problem.

I had a horrible experience at this location. I got my oil changed on a Friday and that following Wednesday I started my car and received the oil change needed message. I took the car back to them and the person that helped me was very very rude. He couldn’t tell me whether or not I was given the 5 quarts that I paid for and when I asked him how can I be sure I received the 5 quarts he told me to calm down because I was being aggressive. After he put a drop of oil in my car, I asked him are you going to reset the oil light because I keep getting the error message and he said no he wasn’t resetting it. He was very unprofessional. This is the WORSE experience I have ever had and I have never been so disrespected. I would never go back here and I don’t recommend anyone else going as well.

On a Sunday, I hit a huge bump on the expressway. My car began to vibrate very badly. Luckily, Mavis was open and James got me in quickly. Unfortunately, the news was bad - a bent rim. I ordered a replacement rim and was scheduled to take it to Wentworth Tire on 111th & Corliss - theyre closer to my job. I arrived 10 minutes earlier than my appointment time and they said that they wouldnt take me - A TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME! The next day, James got me in and out at Mavis. The price was also less expensive than at Wentworth Tire. Turns out, I needed another rim replaced. AGAIN, James and crew took care of me! This is my new tire and wheel shop. Its worth going out of my way for their service. Thanks James and the Mavis crew!!!

The worst place ever, I paid over a thousand dollars on one visit for 4 new tires and rotors. It took what seemed forever, but I was relieved when it was done but before leaving the parking I noticed they broke a sensor for the front tire air gage. They said it would be okay to bring it back. Yeah but at add cost to me for a cab home and back or sit for two hours or more were his exact words. I couldnt believe it as if it were my fault the mechanic damaged the sensor. I wouldnt recommend anyone go there.

Job well done. I had shocks put on my vehicle and Im happy to say Im totally pleased with the work. It took a little longer than I would have liked, and having a light tan interior the mechanic should have been more conscious of the grease on his hands. Overall Im pleased. The cost was also reasonable, compared to what I had been told at the dealership I saved a lot. Im looking forward to returning for my next service.

I called the night before to make sure everything would be ready for my appointment. Upon my arrival they didn’t have the tires I called for the night before. He said they had some other one that where even more espensive . Why should the customer pay extra for a business error. Manager was hiding next to him . If you a car guy I do not recommend you taking your car here for any type of service🤮💩

This place has horrible customer service and are not honest people to deal with. Your best bet is to try the mavis in Crestwood. These are slick dealers who will sell you things you dont need. Beware!

I enjoyed my overall experience @Mavis Tires. I was in search of a new set of tires for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and was exploring my options when a friend recommended I try out this location. I called in advance and the individual gave 2 recommendations for All Weather tires. I selected my tires and an appointment was made which made the drop off, time to install, and pick up of my vehicle seamless. More importantly the tires give my car an entirely new ride. Jim at the front desk was awesome!

I recently got brake pads and rotors put on my car that I had no clue needed to be replaced. The salesman Jim had the mechanic look over my car and I just came for air! Good eye and great service. The wait was okay because there are plenty places around to shop and eat nearby

I came to Mavis this past Monday because I had a nail stuck in my tire, and I just needed it removed and plugged. Gentleman working at the front desk was professional when I came inside the store. It cost me between $20.00 - $25.00 to get this nail removed from the tire and plugged.I was excited because they seemed to plug the tire very quickly. Now this could be a good or bad thing, I would find out later that this would be a small inconvenience. Once I left the tire shop I noticed that I was losing air in my tire still, I thought maybe it just needed more air so I returned to Mavis a second time and requested more air be put in the tire. Again no problem they got me out fast this time as well.Once I left Mavis this time I jumped on the highway and the tire was losing air again. No way could this tire be losing air still right ? I continued to check the tire pressure on my dashboard as I drove and sure enough it was losing air still. So I went to Mavis a third time that Monday. Yes you read that right a third time to get my tired looked at again.I entered the store just like I did earlier twice before that Monday. This time I spent an hour patiently waiting for this tire to be fixed. Tire was patched and I left the store. This time they put too much air in my tire. All my tires are normally 37. They had the tire on 47 and Im driving on this tired afraid it would bust. I called my boyfriend, he said just take it to Jiffy Lube and have them take the air down to 37. So I did go and they let the air out. So there you have it, I spent a total of 5 hours riding back and forth just to get the tire right. I wouldnt say my experience at Mavis was horrible, but I will be calling my dad next time I have tire issue. Probably save an extra $25.00 and time.

This is the worst experience Ive ever had trying to have a car serviced. I had my vehicle towed to this place on Monday July 5th, 2021 because my car wouldnt start. The car arrived at 12:30pm the same day. No one ever called to even give me a status update on my car. I called this establishment on July 8th, 2021 at 7pm. A guy named Jerry answered the phone. I gave him my information and he casually told me that they couldnt tell me why my car wont start. When I asked him why no one contacted me to let me know, he told he wasnt sure🤷🏾‍♂️ If I never called they wouldve never called me. Customer service does NOT live here!

Horrible customer experience and service. My wife went to go see if her alternator or starter was bad. They say they checked it and sold her a battery for about $450. Now not even a month later have to jump to start, took it back for it to be the alternator. Now they want another $750. When I went up there to meet up with my wife. The rep got in his feelings and acted like he wanted to fight. His name was Mike. Never will I recommend for business.

Please do not go here. I went there to buy new tires and get them put on and when I picked my care by the next day, parts of my undercarriage cover were broken and the ribber linings of front bumper was coming off. I literally saw it hanging on the ground as I walked to my care. It wasnt like that before because I have before pictures of my car. They had no clue how it happened. One of the service man said I can just zip tie it for you.....zip tie?! I will not be coming back. I dont even care about the warranty on the tires I have with them. Please do not go here.

After Calumet City officers rescued me on Pulaski and changed my flat they recommended I go to National Tires right behind Sams Club. Well the correct name of the business is Mavis Tires & Brakes.They took my name, address, phone number, and car key. All I wanted was for someone to evaluate the tire and tell me if it could be repaired. Well after a 60 minute wait I asked if I would be serviced soon. The guy replied maybe in an hour. So, I am sitting at Firestone now writing this review. They should have told me it would be a 2 hour wait.

Clean, Professional, Welcoming. When I arrived for my appointment, they were backed up and I returned an hour later. I wasn’t told my car was ready, thank goodness it was when I inquired about how much longer after waiting almost 2 hours for an wheel alignment. I was getting tire replaced across the street at Sam’s Club. I will definitely be back. I found a $10 off coupon on the website. Thank You, HAIRLOSITY 💙

This place is terrible. I had an appointment with the Cal City location and I get there and they dont have all my tires in stock. They said they would called me on two different occasions and never called. I had to keep calling them and they finally they had two tires so I went in to get those two tires put on. They had me waiting in the waiting room for nearly two hours. I will never go back and give them business and will never refer ANY one to them. Terrible customer service.

I initially went in to get air put in my tires. The young man Contrell ( hope I spelled it right) was my attendant and he was outstanding!!!! I asked him a question about my car and explained what was going on and he was able to tell me right away and even performed a battery test. He checked my tires for nails. Thank you Young man!!!! I wish i encountered more young men like Contrell. 🙏🏾

Was there last minute for a piece of metal in tire. Had to drive two hours and they got me back on the road. A day late doing review but I didn’t forget how fast and nice the man up front was. Was super close to closing time and still received great service. Calumet city location.

The gentleman Mike who was taking care of me was very nice and honest. I asked if I needed all four tires replaced and he said hed take a look. He told me two of my tires were fine and showed me what to look for when getting new tires. I will definitely be returning when I need my next two replaced!! 10 out of 10 experience.

I always come to NTB for an oil change because of my great rapport with Jim. He always makes me feel appreciated as a customer and lets me know if the wait will be longer than usual. Today, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Jose. Thee most phenomenal customer service ever!!! He explained to me about my filters and my tires (which I already knew). He didnt try to take advantage of the fact that Im a woman like some automotive businesses do. I was shown my old filters, provided options for tire choices and given details about my tires that will help me in future purchases. Im so thankful for his customer service, great attitude, attention to detail, patience while explaining, and most importantly HIS HONESTY! I would recommend NTB in Calumet City and ask for Jim or Jose. Guaranteed great service!!

Worked here for 10 years then Mavis took over and it became the worst place ever!!! Whole company was all about scamming people. I worked at the front desk and basically took a verbal beating from the bosses because I wasnt selling people things they didnt need, so I move down to the back shop because i refuse to lie to peoples face about things they didnt need. Theres a lot I can say but the best thing I can say is to find some place else to take your vehicle!!! PS a lot of these 5 star reviews are fake they made us make them up to give us a Good Name

Took my vehicle in one morning 8a (opening) 3rd person there. Left my vehicle didnt receive a call until around 1:30 to tell me what was wrong with it. Then waited for a call to pick up and never received one. Decided around 4:30 just to go in and they hadnt even started working on it. After staying and watching them work on other cars I decided to just take mine and leave. Have dealt with them in the past but have always stayed with my vehicle. Dont drop your vehicle off!!!

I should have never made an appointment but it was close to my moms building I made an appointment online because I had to order tires I get there leave my car a hour and a half later they called saying only 2 tires came but I ordered 4 so I took off the next day and around 2 I called them the guy had the nerve to say the shipment was in but we haven’t checked yet and we will call you back and they never called back unbelievable they clearly didn’t want my business I’ve never been treated like that smh.

I needed 2 tires and some wiper blades and stumbled upon this place by chance and was happy that I did!! I came in and was greeted by a jim with a lovely smile and a hello. I told him what I needed and he got on it right away. No other place would help me and their customer service was unwelcoming. Jim let me know it would be a wait but I didnt mind because he was on top of everything and I felt ok with the place. Im back on the road again and got a great price. Go here and ask for Jim. I was surprised that this is not NTB anymore but they still have Jim at this location. I have been coming to this location because I trust him not to sell me a bag of nonsense. The speed is still the same. You must have patience or 2 hours or more to spare.

WORSE PLACE TO GET ANYTHING DONE!!! Waited 5 hours to get nothing accomplished. Came in with rear tire issues and left with no solution. I have been having issues with these Michelin tires since I purchased them. Going to have to replace tires elsewhere and never doing business or referring anyone to NTB//MAVIS! What a waste of a purchase! From customer service to solution is a -5 stars! People dont waste your time or money here! Manager is useless!

Should have read the reviews first. Never ever going here again. If one location could ever change a perspective of a chain, this location is it . Service us horribly slow.. Even had an appointment and seen cars come and go. Seen guys standing around laughing talking. Customers coming back complaining about sensor issues etc. Then in the end as the service rap whats the warranty on the tire he said he was not familiar with the tire and did not know. They recommended the tire to me.

Waited over 40 minutes for some air for my tires. Better management would of figured this out quicker. With covid-19 people are not driving as much so expect low tire pressures coming in and move the air to an appropriate place. Thanks Mr Cordall (sorry if I misspelled it) he was the reason I gave 3 stars but he deserves 4..noticed I had been sitting there awhile and had me pull in and gave me the air and he also explained what else could make low tire pressures. Great job again Mr Cordall.
