Some years ago I searched online for an automatic outdoor watering device for my dogs. I came across the Nelson Model 1200. At the time I thought it was fairly pricey but I went ahead and purchased one. When it arrived I found it to be of very high quality, something you rarely find today. Now after several years of excellent use I needed to repair the float valve. I went to their website and found what I needed in a rubber seat & O-ring replacement kit. The price was fair but the advertised shipping charges were what I thought excessive. In any case I needed the parts so I went ahead and made the order. My credit card company informed me of the charge to my account since the card hadnt been present. The items came promptly and I repaired the device. Much to my surprise Nelson Manufacturing made an adjustment to the shipping charges and a credit to my account to reflect the change in mailing costs. Not only do they make a high quality device they are also a very fair company when it came to the cost of shipping/mailing of these parts. I will always highly recommend this Company and the devices they manufacture based on my personal experience with them. Thank you Nelson Manufacturing, an American company that does business the old fashioned way with Quality and Service!

Purchased a Nelson bird bath heater in 1992. It finally failed in March of 2019. This is the way products should last. Thanks for making a quality product. We replaced the unit in Nov 2019 with another Nelson bird bath heater.

Nelson Manufacturing makes the number one functioning water unit, I believe, in the world. As an equestrian facility designer I have seen & experienced dozens of different types of water devises and have cleaned more than my share of buckets and troughs! Fresh, clean water is a life line for your stock. You can buy inexpensive waster devises that you will be replacing constantly, but when you invest in a Nelson water devise you will have a lifetime of contant clean water for your stock!

Bought the automatic dog watering bowl for a my dogs for a new mud room. The water line on the bowl was less than a 1/2 from the top of the bowl. Each time one of the dogs drank from it, water would spill all over the floor. I called the company to find out how to adjust it so the water wasnt so close to the top. The man I was speaking with was short with me and said there was nothing I could do to adjust it. I asked if I could return it, and I was told not if it was already installed. It was apparent they made a sale and were not interested in helping me solve this issue. I tried gluing fishing bobbers to the bottom of the buoy to raise it up, but it did not work. What a waste of money, and terrible customer service. I was also looking at the horse watering bowl, but I have no interest in doing business with a company who is just looking to make a sale and will not stand behind their product.

I have a friend that had Nelson Waters and I was really intrigued by the units... I ordered for our new horse facilities and installed them myself.....The instructions seemed quite overwhelming but after I started it was quite simple....They are functioning perfectly and couldnt be happier...Nelson produces an outstanding product and would highly recommend them to anyone for a maintenance free watering system..
