Store options are great! But as soon as me and my sister entered the store it felt like the employees were circling us. A lady named Carrie was very pushy and made the shopping very overwhelming. My sister stated it felt like a toxic experience due to when checking out the same lady Carrie was very rude to her fellow employee Sienna . Talking down to her and being very disrespectful especially in front of us customers. Just how Carrie treated us and her coworker makes us not want to return. We enjoyed this store for so long and this incident made us very overwhelmed.
Great store, love shopping there but the staff is so unbelievably rude. I dont enjoy enjoy treated with contempt and like Im somehow beneath someone when I shop. Id happily spend my money here but the sales staff has left such a bad taste I have no desire to return!
The variety and quality are fantastic, great prices as well. I gave only 4 stars as one employee stood atop me the whole time I shopped, felt like she was assigned upon entering the store to assure I didnt put an extra pair of boots in my pocket or something. That was quite annoying! Overall, I LOVE Centerville! Its a family tradition of fun 🤠

This place was massive and they carry so many items and varying prices that are great for everyone! The staff were absolutely wonderful!! They were there to help but not necessarily hover but seemed to just know when to come back to help! They were very personable! Weve already made another trip in and definitely will be going back!

I was able to put a pair of boots on layaway. When I was indecisive about whether to purchase them in the end they were very patient and accommodating. I ended up getting them but they didnt push me. It is a beautiful store! Boots are eye candy in the store. Gorgeous! Ive never seen a store like it.

Its a nice place to get a lot of your Cowboy like things. But 75% of the customers didnt wear a mask and even the employees. The employees have their mask under their nose and even one was pregnant and she wasnt wearing a mask at all. But nice hats though

Tons of cowboy hats, boots, shirts, pants and more. I was looking for a hat, and trying to buy one online was difficult. Western Stores has every conceivable cowboy hat, in many sizes. When I walked in I knew I would find one that would protect me from the noon sun, and make me look good while mow the fields. 50% practical, 50% vanity.
Cool items in the store but the staff isn’t friendly at all. In less than 10 minutes of being there I’m asked “are you guys looking for something in particular.... or are you just...browsing?” In the rudest way possible as if I’m shoplifting. So to the blonde lady at the desk upfront, maybe if you smiled more and were friendly to your customers you’d make sales.

High prices for mens boots, especially the exotics. When price checked, buying direct from the Tony Lama manufacturers website better prices were found by $100s. The store was large, clean, and offered a nice selection of boots and western wear, staff was nice enough...and the store was entertaining to browse through.

This was my second time visiting this store and the same employee overwhelmed us the entire time we were in the mens boot section. I bought boots the first time but left this time due to being uncomfortable. At one point she was behind me and I didnt know.

Tremendous selection in the men’s women’s and children’s section. I was extremely impressed with the wide array of Western artifacts that decorated the circumference of the store. My wife and I spent a half hour perusing the racks and unfortunately the staff appeared a little too busy to see if I needed assistance in anything (which I did) Other than this minor customer service issue, we did enjoy our time there and definitely will be back.

I went in to buy a hat and boots, nice young lady was helping me with boots. An older lady (mgr?) came over and told her help someone else. Apparently I dont look the part so I wasnt worth the help. NOT FRIENDLY TO TOURISTS! RUDE!!!!!!!!
I have found in my two visits here that the service here is very lackadaisical. I was approached once the first time I visited but when there was not my size in the boot I was looking at no other suggestion was offered and the sales person just left me. The second time no one even approached me nor was I even greeted until I was leaving. The staff could definitely use some sales training and incentives to give better service.

She left there and came straight to my work. I had already bought her a pair of boots for her birthday, so I had to tell her. We looked online the boots she had purchased from Centerville and they were selling for 174.00. I took them back to Centerville at 5:00 PM that evening and they refused to take them back. They said they had been worn. I assured the gal they hadnt but she argued. I asked for a manager and after waiting she came back and told me the manager couldnt talk to me because she was on her way out. I said Ill tell you what, how about you price match and Ill keep them if you wont take them back and she said they dont price match. *****BUYER BEWARE********££

Treated like a crook!I have wanted to stop here for a long while and I finally was able too. Its a little ways from my house but Ive been looking for a good place for boots since my last location closed. I picked out a new belt that I needed and my wife and I continued walking the store looking at the womens clothes.An employee walked up to me and grabbed the belt slowly and without notice. Then she said she would put it behind the counter. After she put it there, she followed us through the store.Were an average middle aged couple that was dressed in boots, jeans, and flannels. It shouldnt have mattered, but we would looked like your typical shopper here. There was no reason to treat us like thiefs. I worry how they might treat someone that was actually suspicious looking.I will not be going back. Ill continue to look for another location.

I almost didnt go to this store because I read the review about the poor service. We decided to stop by anyway. My experience was that the employees were very friendly and anxious to help with finding just the right boot. It was really a positive experience and I would recommend this store to anyone.

Years Ive gone to Centralia to shop and always wanted to shop here. We finally have some time to go in to Centerville and we were blown away by the selection and decor of this store for it was extremely awesome! One huge downfall though. I did not feel welcome in that store at all. Im Hawaiian/Filipino/Chinese/English, and Irish. One older female employee watched me like a hawk! I work hard for my money and I am very picky on where I spend it. Every where I turned she was physically bumping into me cause shed sneak up around a display and watch me. Its hard to be so excited about a store like this when one of the staff members make you feel like you dont belong shopping here.

They do have a good selection of western wear, but they advertise hat cleaning and shaping which is not the case. I dont know if they are just incapable of doing it or if their staff is just not comfortable with shaping hats, but they had my hat for over a month and did nothing to it
