Place was clean. Staff was friendly. Plenty of selection for drinks and snacks. The soft serve ice cream was great. Bathrooms were okay. It’s a small truck stop, and doesn’t have all the amenities the big guys have, like a restaurant, but the place is great in a pinch.

Love this Thorntons. Plenty of room to maneuver a large vehicle. Best doughnuts and iced coffee. This is my regular Sunday stop on my way home.

Easy access on and off 55 .They serve some hot food if your looking for a quick bite to go. Fuel prices are not overly priced (considering our fuel prices these days) being a truck stop.

Came in at 1:00 am 5/9/21 for ice-cream. Wasnt sure if the machine was still on so I asked the gentleman working. He instantly was ready to help and walked over to check (it was really good too btw). He was extremely nice and professional. Being courteous and just an overall nice person goes a long way with me but unfortunately that seems harder to find these days. I wish every trip to the store was like this. Thank you guys for a great experience. Keep up the good work.

First time here, got a chorizo burrito and a southwest burrito, both of them had a hair in them, two different burritos two completed different hairs... wow thats an accomplishment!!

Gas pumps never work!

My daughter went to get us Mountain Dew fizz freezes and they tasted nasty. The machine has also been down for 4 days now.

Lowest gas & diesel prices around I55 &I80 intersection. They have CAT scales and a few parking spots. Very convenient from both interstates

I won’t stop here again. Dirty bath room. Nasty food and mean employees. The def pump didn’t work ether

Couldnt get any of the pumps to work and many others were having problems as the attendant was constantly on the intercom resetting pumps for people. I never was able to fuel up so I went across the street.

Great staff. Good for a quick stop. If your thinking of staying any length of time, get there early. The local trucks have petty much taken over the lot.

I stop here to get fuel and do a cash advance on my fuel card. Every time I ask its the same response sorry dont have enough cash . Now I have to go to pilot to get cash. From now on I will be getting my fuel there also. Good bye.

I visited Thornton’s today and I do regularly. The whole staff here is extra kind and always go above and beyond to help you as fast as they can. Steve especially today was extremely helpful quickly checking me out and asking about my day.

I like it here. Cheapest truck diesel in the area. usually in and out pretty quickly. Minus one star because they need someone on restroom duty. Cleaner bathrooms please

Pretty new gas station. The prices are reasonable but sometimes they overprice, you just have to watch. I reccomend downloading the app for additional gas and store benefits. The store like I said is newer and maintained well.

Employees were nice on the phone and in person, also the bathroom was clean, better prices than the bigger name brand truck stores. Parking says 2hrs so Id just call before and let them know when you get there

You call and ask simple truck stop questions they act like they dont understand do you have showers cash comcheks etc its like your asking too much....sorry to bother you Im just a customer thats all . Updated 08/2019 since the last time I posted was the last time I was treated that way now I noticed attitudes are a lot better in there appreciated I do buy fuel from here its cheaper than most places

This is a brand new location and its amazing! I am originally from Central Illinois and moved to Michigan, and there is no Thorntons stations near by, though we travel home on a regular basis, and this has now become our new go to stop. Clean, friendly, large selection...and 3 cents off a gallon when you sign up for rewards!

This use to be my favorite gas station due to the fantastic food and drink selection! My boyfriend and I would go out of our way to stop here and get a buffalo chicken burrito, hot dog, and/or one of the many roller grill options. Sadly, they cut WAY back on the food options and stopped serving burritos after 11am. They also got rid of some of our favorite burritos and sandwiches completely. We stopped going here as much. The staff is pretty nice and everything is usually clean.

Great thorntons. Plenty of truck parking and great staff very clean and well organized everyone is very freindly.

Good place good food. Nice and clean. Friendly people. Only problem is that local cops only allow you to park 2 hours so no overnight without a 250 dollar ticket

Update, it seems odd that only the Thortons is subject to a 2 hour limit parking ban enforced by the police. The Pilot, Speed Way and soon Loves in the same town, dont seem to have this law. One was built before and 2 were/are being built after the Thorntons.

Dont gamble here this is a ripoff

We generally have a great experience each visit. Good prices on things generally however...... We had our own cups and just got WATER... We were charged for it!!! We were not given a receipt as well .... The person who waited on us was a but cranky. Weve never had a crusty coot here before. The bathrooms were in a bit of a mess and gum was still on the floor from yesterday evening. Looked like blood on the handrails too.

Nice friendly helpful employees during my visit. Cheapest Fuel in the area. Nice clean place. I will remember them and go back.

The store was very clean wash room clean, the problem I had was I purchased a pack of cough drops the cashier tried to charge me $3.00 when they were only $1.50 if I had not spoke up I wouldve gotten charge more 🤔

Fuel was cheap here. Nice clean newer place. Many options for food. The only bad think was a 2 hr limit parking for trucks. No overnight. Other than that, no complains.

Got two Cold Sodas for the deal druck one my Supper went back in with my own cup to get some more Ice and was charged $0.55 for ice only not a Good deal if Im have my own Cup I could see five cent have own but this kills it No More Business Thornton the Loves Pilot or Ta truckstops dont do it So why I tell you to make money off the Drivers

Coffee set here is right! Caffeine shots, lots of different flavors & roasts, marshmallows for your hot cocoa. They got it all.

Its a truck stop with a catch. 2 hour parking for semi trucks. No smoking on property. Restrooms were dirty, and there were no paper towels. They dont serve sandwiches after 11 am. If you are looking for food and a place to sleep, this isnt it. This stop is for fueling only.

The store is very nice and updated, but it seems there are not enough people behind the register causing long lines and wait time especially in the morning before work. Truckers oftentimes take forever to do what ever they do in line. There is a designated register, but with one person on duty it does no good.

Another typical gimme your money and get out gas station with diesel pumps for trucks.2hr parking for trucks, enforced by local police.This is in no way a truck stop.Has parking for about 40 trucks, but you cant take your break here.-how do you build a place and let the local police dictate how its run?

Tasty treats at the hot food bar. Clean place overall and a decent place to overnight....if you can get a space.

*** 2 HR PARKING ***. Cops handing out $250 tickets there. Highly recommend the NO TIME LIMIT Pilot Truck Stop across the bridge or go South on I-55 for 9.5 miles to the NO TIME LIMIT Petro Truck Stop (Exit# 240) . The Pilot only has 25 parking spots and the New Petro has 200 parking spots. Either way, Those places wont ruin your day.

New station and the pumps suck half of the time the card reader at the the pump doesnt recognize your card. Or the pump handle is bad . Location is just ok prices are high for not a name brand. Theres better deals on York n Grand.

2 hour truck parking. $275 fine. Was out of hours and tired. Cant believe I spent money inside. They dont want people around, just your money.

Great set up, very clean and modern. Hot dog, sausage compartment is very impressive with all the fixings to make your own vienna beef style hot dog. Very great Chicagoland experience.

On November 18th i had difficulty with my debit card insertion, was not smooth, had a hard time going in. Had to repeat several times in order for it to work. Now on Sunday my debit card has been hacked and Thorntons is the last place I used it. Please go in town for gas and stay away from off the highway places, I know they are convenient and less expensive, but it is not worth the distress that I am going thru to cancel everything and hopefully get my money back. I tried calling there twice this AM and was on hold way too long, so here I am writing this review/buyer beware.

Its exactly what you would expect from a gas station by a major highway. Lower rateing for never having any dark roast coffee when I go in.

Every time I go here the employees are so rude. I ask a question and they look at me and then turn around and walk away, when Im at the register they have such a nasty attitude. I dont get it.

The 2hr trucker parking has to be enforced by Thorntons because the Channahon PD/Village of Channahon have an ordinance against long term parking. If Thorntons had there way truckers would have 24hr parking without an issue. So if you truckers dont like it then complain to Channahon. This Thorntons is nice and clean. One of the better truck stops Ive been to.
