Absolutely love the Deli department, always fully stocked. The entire store is in great shape, its clean and you will always have great customer service.

You put up a sign saying everyone must wear a mask when it’s not a law or even a mandate in VA.Then when I comply with your virtue signaling-1. The one and only thing I ever come in your prison to get isn’t even there. But the spot on the shelf as well as several around it has one single of some other item that doesn’t belong in any of them.2. Two of your employees have masks that are down around their necks! But you require me to have mine in place.You should just put up a sign that says go to Walmart or ALDI and save yourself the aggravation!

Giant can be hit or miss in their produce but I really appreciate them offering the wine cocktails in this size which is similar to Costco.

I love this place, prices are a little higher than wal mart but its never busy and the employees are always helpful and all speak english.

The managress is a very hardworking and fantastic person. Very focused and sharp. Though I returned three boxes of coke and fried chicken back, she was pleasant and made my shopping experience very fun. U must reward her! She is an asset for the GIANT Team at South Riding!

SouthRiding Giant is ok due to convenience. Other than that my experience is usually difficult due to the short heavyset caucasian woman with tattoo on back of her forearm that works the front Customer service desk. Shes very intense, abrasive when interacting with Customers. Id like to reiterate that I only shop here for convenience but this needs to be addressed.Best

I love shopping at Giant; however, this location is kind of depressing. Its outdated and looks really run down. I like the location because its super close to my house so I do plan on shopping here a lot. I just wish it was revamped like the other Giant stores that Im used to. I hope they will remodel it soon with the extensive wine aisles and produce and bakery sections like the other locations Im familiar with in the area.

Always clean and staff is helpful. Prices are decent for the area and produce is usually great. Hate, hate, hate the parking in that shopping center, though, because while its plentiful, the whole area is somehow still cramped and a pain in the arse to navigate. Its close to home yet I still more often opt for other stores because of the parking area.

Normally I would be very complimentary to South Riding Giant. I like the people who work there. My concern is Giant must do a better job making sure people social distance while standing in line to check out. There should be a sticker on the floor for those who either are not aware that we are in a pandemic and social distancing is necessary or those who just dont care about the health of other people. Do we as customers have to be the ones who tell people to step back or can we count on the staff to stand up for customers? Putting a sticker on the floor is a simple thing to do and will help people abide by the rules, hopefully. Providing that will keep any conflicts from happening.

I usually shop at the Dominion Valley store and occasionally at the Greenbrier location. I’ve always experienced great customer service, great selection, and well laid out stock at those locations. This store seems larger but the natural/organic foods are spread out throughout the store. That makes it very inconvenient when looking for a few things. Their selection isn’t nearly as good as either of the other locations. For example, the Dominion Valley store has most all the organic/natural foods in two aisles and they stock goat milk and a greater selection of other staples. I’ve yet to go to the South Riding store and not find items out of place. The last time, a customer left a refrigerated pie piled on top of bread. This site seems understaffed and unable to catch those things. I’ve also used the customer service twice in the four times I’ve stopped here. The last time was fine but the first time I was attended by a surly person who was snarky when I returned a card that I’d just bought. I’d grabbed the wrong one and didn’t catch it in time. Her service was so poor I considered getting a manager but was in a rush and didn’t see much staff around to even bother. The checkout people aren’t nearly as friendly as at the Dominion Valley store. It’s night and day.

South Riding Giant is a great local grocery/pharmacy! The pharmacist and staff are caring and they will take the time to talk w/you regarding prescriptions and OTC supplements. Grocery staff are equally as good. As a little person I ask often for assistance and staff is always very helpful.

Giant is always a great place to grab groceries. This particular giant although the staff is friendly, prices are great, products are stocked and seem fresh; this giant is really outdated.

Good store for the most part. Appears to be clean and the team working assists when help is needed. My only suggestion is rotation of food. At times I have found expired food on the shelf and will then have to check all items because of the inconsistency.

I visited the South Riding location today. Upon checkout I realized I left my wallet in the car. At the same time a coupon came out for something I was buying. I asked the cashier if I could go to my car for my wallet. Naturally it was ok. I just had knee surgery 5 weeks ago and I am in a knee immobilizer. As I went to get my wallet the cashier asked what flavour I wanted and got the item for me. I know thats not a big deal. But I thought it was very kind of her to do that for me. EVERY experience I have had at this location whether it be at the deli, florist or the cashier, it has always been an awesome experience. I also cant leave the deli manager out of this review.

This Giant is really good. Produce is fresh and a good selection of groceries/organic products. Friendly staff and does not get overly crowded. Shelves remain stocked well even on weekends.

Had the worst customer service experience of my life, not just particular Giants. Waited for over 30 mins to get a total of 4 items and still returned empty handed. There was just one register open between 7.30-8.80pm. The person on the register could not checkout a gift card for me since the amount was big. She called the supervisor on the call, but guess what, the supervisor was not at her place. Oh, and not just for a few moments, for 20-25 minutes, while I waited, the supervisor’s phone kept ringing and the person on register stood there. After she returns, she gets informed that my gift card needs approval or whatever it is that was needed. She gets another call in the on her desk in the meantime. She received the call and was still on that call while I finally gave up and had to leave from there to feed my hungry and tired toddler who had given up and was sitting on the floor by then. If the call went for more than 2-3 minutes, she should have put the call on hold for a minute and quickly get me going before returning to her story-telling call. I don’t think the supervisor belongs in the ‘customer service’ department. The person on the register too needed to do more to get the supervisor’s help instead of standing there helpless. I am not going back to this store.PS- I wish google allowed less than 1 star :(

Had not shopped there for sometime. Because there was always a issue on pricing. Price on shelf was not the same as what rang up at register. Last night had six items of those six. Three rang up more then price shown on shelf. Spoke with management did not seem to care. Will not be back again .

The store is fine. The staff are okay, but special call out to the special needs employees, they rock at this store. Prices are okay and the cleaniness of the place, something just feels off. No dirt or anything it just doesnt feel right. .

Refused to sell nyquil to my 20 yr old boyfriend because they claimed you had to be 21. This is untrue. At plenty of other stores, including other locations of Giant, you have to be 18. When he tried to tell them this, they became rude and simply refused to give him service anymore.

This Giant store is very clean and well organized, and the staff are very helpful when you need them.

I dont know why but Im always surprised when they have what Ive been looking everywhere else for at this location. Its going to be my first stop from now on when Im searching for something in particular.
