I came in because I saw they got some new stock online for a bike I had been looking for. Nolan was great helping me get set up with a test ride. They helped me pick out my accessories and get them all installed, including a thicker set of tires. And they helped me put it in the backseat of my car. In and out in about an hour. Awesome service.

Great service department and very helpful. Ive had a noise coming from my bottom bracket for a while now. My local guy was unable to figure it out. They found out what was causing it and now no more noise. Also really great to be able to set up a time and have it fixed the same day.

Matt took such good care of me—I called to see if they could help me with a flat on my jogging stroller and he told me to bring it in to look at it and he may/may not have to order the tire. Fast forward 40mins and the flat is fixed and the other 2 tires were checked and re-inflated. While the stroller was getting worked on, I looked around for a bike and was helped by another super sweet salesman (sorry, I forgot his name)—I was “fitted” for a bike, we talked about my goals for the bike and I was ready to purchase one but unfortunately there was a 6month wait for it and I had to look elsewhere. I still ended up buying a Trek, but had to go to another store in the area because they had the stock. Otherwise, we had such a positive experience at Trek Chapel Hill and I’m so grateful to them for fixing my big little guy’s stroller.

Great place to shop for anything and everything to do with bicycles. My 5 yr old grandson needed a helmet for scooting, and the staff made sure it fit properly before we purchased. Staff friendly and helpful. They follow safety protocols, making sure that masks are worn, and keeping customer numbers to a minimum at any given time. When you arrive, there is an outside blocked-off area and staff come outside to allow you entrance.

Amazing customer service and killer bikes. I cannot say enough good about the folks running and working in this shop. I have come to them with multiple issues on multiple bikes (old, weird spare parts, very specific requests for new rides and everything in between) and they deliver every time. They are excellent at following up, they are happy and eager to help, and they know their stuff when it comes to the bikes, products, and maintenance. These guys are getting it right.

During Covid lockdown the crew at Trek Chapel Hill kept me sane!I was able to purchase a bike, buy gear in a secure, socially distanced environment and arrange repairs with complementary service. Their customer service and responsiveness is awesome, whether by phone, text, email or in person. Always quick to engage and help while offering good advice. The absolute best place in the Triangle for bike supplies and repair. I dont know all that much about bikes, and they always treat me with respect and are super helpful. Their techs do really good service too, and I dont feel they are trying to upcharge anything. Im definitely a loyal customer.

In the last 6 months (during the pandemic lockdown), Trek Chapel Hill has done a complete overhaul of my Trek Domane Gravl and I have bought a set of cleats which they installed. I found the personnel very helpful and easy to deal with.

The staff at Trek Bikes of Chapel Hill LITERALLY saved Christmas! I have been hunting everywhere for a Trek Roscoe 24”, with no success. I live in Roanoke, VA and had called everywhere from VA to PA with no luck, only waiting lists for next year. I finally came across the Trek shop in Chapel Hill and gave them a call close to closing time on a Saturday and they not only verified all the options that they had but also put one aside for me to drive down and pick up the next morning. The salesman helped me pick out accessories and then installed all of them for me before I left the store. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Great service. The shop was able to source two extension stems for our existing Trek bikes and change out our road tires for larger, knobby tread tires for use on gravel rail trails. Great job!

One of the best customer experiences I have ever had. Sales rep was very knowledgeable about the various bike models. I bought one bike. Found out they had the next model up in the store still in the box. Made the call to switch out the bike. The store was getting ready to close but they still built the bike and had it ready with in 30 min. Will be shopping here again for another bike and all the biking accessories I will need.

I know all shops are getting hammered with people coming back or trying biking and I dont know how they do it but Trek Chapel Hill is incredible getting your bike back to you in an unbelievable short time.A phone call and appointment for repairs did not diminish the communication and standards. Even shopping items to pick up at curbside was easier, more convenient than I anticipated.

After 12 years of owning a used Trek bike and liking it for its sturdiness and simplicity, I decided to buy a new bike. Lots of choices, but I stuck with the Trek brand. I went to the new Trek store in Chapel Hill to upgrade and get bike with a bigger wheel diameter. The staff there were knowledgeable and provided excellent service. For example, I got to try out 4 different bikes. After finding the perfect bike, they put a kickstand on it and transferred the mirror, blinking reflector, etc from my old bike onto the new one. Saved me the hassle of doing it myself. Very pleasant experience!

I know nothing about bikes but just bought an old one off of someone for super cheap. I brought it in, and Jacob and another nice guy provided me with a health check and steps to get my bike working like new. Super low-intimidation environment but maintains a cool atmosphere. We will be bringing my boyfriends bike in too 😊

This is the bike shop Chapel Hill needed, employees are friendly and professional. Does not have that too cool for school vibe you find in some shops.

I chose the Trek Store for its iconic name and expecting its bicycle technicians to be top notch. I took my Surly CrossCheck in for maintenance as it was dropping the chain in the front. The tech suggested a full tune-up, new chain, cassette, and rear wheel. The bike was returned promptly within a week, but when I test road the bike in the parking lot, it continued to have the exact same problem of dropping the chain. I promptly went back up to Trek to explain the ongoing issue, when the tech then suggested to also replace the front chainrings. I did not understand why this was not suggested in the first place, given that is where the issue was occurring. I waited another week for the parts to come in and for the work to be done. Now a month after my work has finished, I have had two flats in two days, only to find that the bike tech did not place the rim guard tape properly on the new wheel, causing the tube to rub against the spoke holes. I had to walk half a mile home from a ride this morning as I had no faith that replacing the tube would not result in another flat.I was honestly surprised by how sloppily the tape had been applied, as it was clear this would not protect the tube from punctures. In the ten years of owning my bike, I have had almost no mechanical issues, and could always reply upon my local shop in St. Louis, Big Shark, to perform routine maintenance without issue. It really surprises me that despite Treks name, that their bike repair service has not been better. I have had to return numerous times to the store for these issues when they could have been dealt with properly the first time. Now I am out two tubes, as well as time spent running to and from their store.All this is to say, if Im going to be spending hundreds of dollars at your store, I expect the quality of the maintenance to be better. Second, there seems to be a breakdown in communication between what the sales reps say and what the maintenance people do. Ive been told several times that before work is done on my bike, that the maintenance tech will call to explain the issue/discuss the work before its completed; this has never occurred, and I think could be contributing to the kind of hiccups as noted above.I write all this to hopefully provide constructive criticism. All the staff have been very kind and professional, and I appreciate the quick turn around during COVID and with the increased demand for bikes and maintenance. But as it stands, I cannot trust Trek for reliable bike repair in the future.

Also a shout out to MacKensie (at the Cary store), who comes in to the the Chapel Hill store on her day off to help me get my bike fitted so I wouldnt have to truck all the way to Cary from Durham.
