Haley was fantastic and so knowledgeable. When I went in for my appointment, I thought I knew what I wanted but she was able to show me styles of dresses that were much more flattering. I fell in love with the lace of the Leah gown and we were able to modify to match my vision. The gown turned out to be more beautiful than I could have imagined. Modern Trousseau was the best decision I could have made. I highly recommend it to every bride to be!

I walked into Modern Trousseau thinking I would not be leaving with a dress (this was my second shop I had ever been to). I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Being the only bride in the shop with my mom felt so intimate and special. I tried on a myriad of beautiful gowns and ended up finding my dream dress! Ive never seen or felt fabrics so soft. You really cant find gowns like Modern Trousseau gowns anywhere else. I am beyond elated and will recommend Modern Trousseau to everyone!

My mom and I came to Modern Trousseau of Charleston to try on some wedding gowns and get a feel for what I like. I ended up leaving with my dream gown and veil! Haley went above and beyond!! She listened to everything I liked or disliked about the gowns I was trying and picked out styles to fit those descriptions. She was very professional, kind, and so fun! I couldn’t imagine getting my dress anywhere else or having any other experience!

We worked with Annie, and she was just a delight. It was my first time trying on dresses, and it only took me 4 dresses to find the one. The gown was gorgeous and very high end looks 4x more expensive than what I actually paid. The boutique was very clean and neat, the dress was extremely reasonable in price and since they custom size it, I wont need any alterations. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area.

Working in the industry, I appreciated how Haley was kind, attentive, enthusiastic but didnt make you feel rushed or forced to make any decisions. So thankful for Haley and the direction she provided from the first day to the last of the process. I was unfortunately one of those covid brides where the wedding was pushed but she kept everything happy, optimistic, and organized.If you’ve tried on a million dresses and can’t find “the one” COME HERE. What an incredible & amazing experience! Modern Trousseau was recommended by a friend whose daughter had purchased her dream dress from this Bridal Salon. I had saved & brought with me photos of dresses I liked. This was the beginning of an unbelievable experience for me & my friends who came with me. A first class experience, and it was absolutely perfect. I have never tried on a wedding gown and my fairy godmother, Olivia, did not disappoint! She consistently kept the vibe and energy throughout my personal experience. I had no idea what I was doing or what I wanted, but she was a doll and kept me focused on picturing “my wedding day”. If you didn’t know, you’ll find out quickly, that dress shopping with your mother, and two sisters (via FaceTime) is exhausting!Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience finding my wedding gown. I had such a wonderful experience at Modern Trousseau Charleston. Haley was amazing from the second my mom and I walked in the door! I was nervous as it was my first time to try on any dresses, but Haley made me feel instantly comfortable. She selected multiple different styles for me to try so I could determine what I liked best and then focus in on options. My eyes started to light up once she explained all the customizations that could be done and I realized I could truly make a dress my own. We had four appointments at different salons over the course of two days, but I couldnt get the Modern Trousseau gowns off of my mind, so I cancelled two of the four and went back the next day to pick my dress. I am so excited to see the final product and love that with Modern Trousseau, truly anything you dream of is possible. I cant thank Haley enough for her service, incredible creativity, and kindness.

Haley and Alise are the sweetest ladies and so professional and knowledgeable! Modern Trousseau has the most gorgeous dresses, and each one is customized for each bride. I went there to look at a specific dress, but Haley pulled numerous others for me to compare. Lauren and Brittani were amazing! From start to finish! I went into the in August 2017 just to look around and fell in love with one of the dresses in the window. They did a great job with communicating and sending me updates on my dress throughout the process. Best gown shopping experience I’ve had! Brittani is so sweet and helped me find a fabulous gown for my budget. She even took me out in the ally and did a photo shoot with me in a couple different gowns to help me decide. Their seamstress was amazing and quick too! 5 stars all the way!

MT was absolutely wonderful and made me feel amazing finding a dress. As soon as I walked in the door they were super welcoming and worked with me to find exactly what I wanted. Everything is custom made, so when my dress came in it fit perfectly and only had to get taken in slightly, which they did in house. I had a great experience and would highly recommend MT if youre looking for the dress. This was the first, and only, place I went wedding dress shopping.

I was the girl who had no idea what she wanted as far as material or style. I scheduled an appointment last minute just to go try on and it turned out Modern Trousseau Charleston was my first and only stop...my experience was THAT amazing! Brittani was the BEST- so sweet and super helpful. We had some pricing things and she contacted us immediately when a little sample sale came up. She was very personable and cared about our experience a ton- I shopped around all bridal boutiques in Charleston looking for my Debutante dress, and NO saleswoman in any shops compared to Brittani- not an exaggeration! You will not be disappointed with Modern Trousseau, the gorgeous dress was only half the experience. Would go back for my wedding in a heartbeat.

Although I did not ultimately buy my wedding dress from Modern Trousseau, Jen at the store on King St. in Charleston was so terrific that I had to share what a wonderful experience she made my visits to her store. She was helpful, attentive, accommodating and, importantly, fun. My mother, future mother-in-law, and my sisters all came with me to my fittings and we all agreed that Jen was a top class act! Its worth checking out this store if you are looking for a no pressure, just helpful approach to finding the wedding dress for you!

I would reccomend Modern Trousseau to anyone! I went to two other shops in Charleston prior to Modern Trousseau and didnt find the dress or environment I had been hoping for. Lauren at Modern Trousseau listened to what I was looking for and what I felt comfortable in and found the PERFECT dress for me (respecting my price point I might add). The people are great and the dresses are beautiful. I feel so blessed to have found my perfect dress!!

I unexpectedly stopped into Modern Trousseau while on business in Charleston. I didnt have an appointment but there was no sign on the door requesting you make one. I went in and looked through all the amazingly beautiful gowns. The lady working was on the phone most the time I looked around. I didnt mind because I didnt have an appointment. After she got off the phone she was trying to get me to try on dresses I didnt like after having a bad run in with my favorite style. As a newly engaged bride I was already nervous. But with made in the USA, amazing dresses how can you go wrong? Ill tell you how. A pushy, rude sales lady.Im glad to read that others have had a positive experience in this shop but I wont be returning even with an appointment. The way the clerk treated the people on the other end of the phone was not someone Id want to talk to. If you are in Charleston and the dresses pull you in, go for it just be ready for the attitude.

Wow! I honestly do not think I can put into words my experience at Modern Trousseau. I found my wedding dress here, and it was the first and only place I needed to look. Lauren is not only so sweet and kind, but she is knowledgeable about which dress will look best on certain body types. I went in thinking I wanted a dress with straps that was A-line, and left with a strapless ball gown, and I could not have been happier!!! Modern Trousseau offers such a large assortment of gowns, and customizes the gown to make a one of a kind dress for the best day of your life. They also work with wonderful alteration shops ( they altered my dress in 2 days )! You can tell that the staff at Modern Trousseau love what they do, which made for such a positive experience !!

After driving up from Jacksonville Fl and visiting many shops with no luck my sister and I walked in to be greeted by a wonderful sales rep who was finishing up with a bride. She was so patient, professional, of course the dress quality and the store themselves are pristine and classy. I fell in love with several gowns and had so many follow up conversations with Mary Claire. She was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, and prompt with responding- I was very impressed. After visiting many wedding salons, hers was hands down the best, and her service was incomparable. She was so down-to-earth and easy to work with. Lauren is AMAZING! She was a joy to work with and made the entire wedding dress experience so easy! She was very patient and helpful while I tried on almost every dress in the store. The great thing about Modern Trousseau is that you can customize every dress. Lauren was very flexible with my schedule. My Mom lives in Maryland I am in Charleston. Sometimes it was hard to find a day/time that we were both available to come in. Lauren went above and beyond to fit our schedules. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Lauren and Modern Trousseau.

Modern Troussea was inviting the moment we walked in, I knew that Jen was genuine in her opinions, and help. I had gone to other bridal stores including ones in Charleston and none came close to the warm and friendly customer service I received at MT. Jen is the cutest stylist, she is energetic and friendly. I would have bought my dress from there if I had to do it again!

My daughter and I went there in March, they have beautiful dresses.My daughter found THE dress, but they are over our budget.The sales associate was fantastic, and very considerate.

What horrible service! The sales associates were cheeky snobs. I walked in off the street, being a local, this is not uncommon especially when there is zero indication on the door of an appointment taking place. I was forcefully greeted by an associate that was appalled by my presence. She regrettably opened her mouth Excuse me...I need you to leave we have an appointment we are attending to right now and If you want to come back in 2 hours then we might be available while practically shoving my friend and I out the door. The situation could have been handled more skillfully and it appears thats the type of service they display when they think/feel no one of importance is listening. It was embarrassing catching eyes with the bride and her mother staring at me like I did something wrong. I would never recommend such a unprofessional enviorment unless you prefer that type of service.
