Super friendly, they went out of their way to find a pair of frames I would be happy with that my insurance would cover, and gave me a quote on both transition and prescription sunglasses when I explained about my financial situation and light sensitivity. Truly fantastic care. Southwest is out of this world and I will definitely be returning for my eye care 💜 also so excited about not getting air puffs in my eyes anymore.

I recently switched to Southwest Eye Care to see Dr. Krassin, and have been impressed with the other doctors as well. They are prompt, professional and very competent. Unlike other eye clinics, they have accurately diagnosed and treated me, and provided very thoughtful and sensitive care. Couldnt be happier!

I have really enjoyed my visits to Southwest Eye. I have had exams from two Docs, most recent Dr. Heidi Skonseng, and both were great. They spent the time needed to answer all questions and recommendations for my unique situation. The technicians are very friendly and patient (spent a lot of time with me learning to put in contacts). I have and will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

I have been so pleased with the service and care that I have received at SW Eyecare. They pay attention to my history and are continually monitoring my glaucoma to be sure it doesn’t get worse. Everyone I have worked with there has been pleasant and helpful. Dr. Chad remembers me and greets me by name even in the lobby before I’m in the exam room. I couldn’t be happier.

I have always had a good experience with this clinic. The last time I had an issue with getting my prescription correct for each eye and they re-examined me and replaced my new glasses for no additional charge.

I called to make an appointment for an eye exam and answered the questions the receptionist had asked me (what is your date of birth, name, etc) and when she said I dont see you in here, are you new? I said yes! Her response was, well that would have been helpful to know. Im sorry, but I was answering the questions in the order you asked them!

The appts were on time and staff were efficient and friendly. Questions were answered and procedures were explained. I would recommend this to friends.

The Glencoe facility was able to get me an appointment for the same week I called. Once at the clinic everything went smoothly and very professional.

The team at SWEye did a great job with my annual eye exam and check up. Super pros there and they did a comprehensive exam and asked me about things I wouldnt normally ask, like time on screens and device use which can lead to dry eyes and computer vision syndrome. Everyone should get an annual eye exam and if you can, go and see the fine team at SWEye today!

The eye doctors are great but I wouldn’t buy my glasses there again. I have been in six times for adjustments and they still don’t feel right. One of the technicians even told me I was focusing on the wrong part of the glasses when I said they were crooked so I took them to Lens Crafters and they immediately said they are crooked and fixed them; I’ll go there for my next pair.

All the way through my initial appt, surgery, and follow-up appts they have been great to work with.

This place looks good from the outside but its horrible, un professional, un organized and with no patient care at all and unfortunately or fortunately my daughter got to see and experience her self this type of care. We will not ever let this happen again.

When the eyeglass shop staff realized was she was not going to spend more than what was covered by her basic insurance they became very rude, mean and demeaning towards her. Southwest Eye Care staff and docs take good care of you! I found that my glasses had come in and had been at the office for a week. Needing them, Joe was able to squeeze me in and dispense them that day. Very friendly, organized and clean!

I just returned from my second appointment with Southwest Eye Care and unfortunately I have to go back to a third and FINAL appointment with them. The first appointment for my daughter was to get contacts. I was seeking a second opinion since I had been told by another Dr. that her stigmatism was too bad that contacts wouldnt work well for her. After haggling with the front desk receptionist regarding paying for contacts before even speaking with a Dr., we had an exam and the Dr. told us she thought they could find the right contacts for my daughter. My daughter was apprehensive about trying contacts but the Dr. reassured her that her techs were great at training clients at putting the contacts in. She also told us, that they would call us in a weeks time to try out tester contacts to get the right fit before ordering her the actual contacts she would wear.Fast forward to today (our second appointment), after waiting 4 weeks for a call, we scheduled the appointment to get her contacts. I went in and was told to go to one of the desks with the people waiting to fit eye glasses (not sure if these people are considered techs). I gave her my daughters name and she came back and handed me a bag with the contacts and said, I labeled the left and right. Have a nice day... I asked if someone would be showing her how to put them in, to which she asked if Id had the class yet? Ah, what class? No one ever mentioned a class. Scheduled an appointment for today (when my daughter is off from school), why werent there notes explaining that when I call to pick up contacts, that I should have been notified to take a class!?! She tried to schedule me to come back for a class, and after looking at the next two weeks of Tues/Thurs. classes, I told her those days dont work. To which she said, thats all we have. So now I scheduled yet another appointment in my already busy schedule because I was misinformed on the first appointment on how this all works. So, I left my contacts and will be going back tomorrow to a class (3rd appt. and final appt.) to learn how to put them in. Wasnt that what todays appointment was supposed to be?? This is a perfect example of overpromising and underdelivering on services and a product. I will be continuing my search for an Optometrist. I do not recommend Southwest Eye Care to anyone that doesnt have time on their hands to be given the run around and promised something that they never intend to deliver on!

Very pleased with Dr.Rottach and staff at SW Eye Care. They are very thorough and conscientious about follow up.

I had two separate appointments at this office. Once for an eye infection that during the appointment I also asked for a prescription for dry eye. The doctor suggested I try something over the counter but if I needed it, he could call in the prescription. I called several weeks later and it took them 48 hours to return my call while I couldnt even drive my car due to dry eye. I was informed I would need to come in again before they could give me the prescription - only wanted another office visit to bill me an outage charge - not covered by insurance. Second, visit was to get contacts - they called me to pick up my contacts and I had to schedule an appointment only to learn the contacts they had for me to try didnt have my eye glass prescription???? Poor customer service, lack of organization and care. So glad to be moving home as the staff is rude too.

My mom and I went there and had the best service! We absolutely love Dr. Skonseng and have been seeing her for years, she’s one of the best optometrists around. And when we went to try on glasses, Kristin was a GREAT help with assisting us with the insurance and went above and beyond to help us figure out the best plan. Highly recommend this place!

We have been seeing Dr. Skonseng for years and everytime we go in I remember how much I love her. She is great with the kids as well as myself. Always has time for questions. All the staff right down to the wonderful check in staff and the gal who gets us started. Thank you all very much!

Dr Chris Freed has THE best bedside manner of any Doctor I have ever encountered. He is so down to earth, is a terrific listener, and explains things in laymans terms. Dr. Chris Freed is the best eye doctor Ive had. Great sense of humor, very sociable and nice which I value a lot for being able to talk comfortably with a doctor. I love my new contact lenses. Also, he was able to work me and my husband into his schedule, though we were late by ten minutes. The front desk staff were very helpful as well.

Waited over 20 minutes in the lobby before going to exam room even though there were no other people waiting. Since clinic moved to new location customer service has declined. Never a good selection of frames. Continue going because Dr Freed is great, otherwise we would find another clinic.

Dr. Amy, Dr. Chris and Dr. Dockter have all seen me for exams and have always been wonderful. They take the time to explain things and they were able to squeeze me in last minute when I had an issue. The rest of the team is great in helping to choose frames and lenses too. They are all worth their weight in gold!!

Dr. Krassin is exceptional at what he does. I was apprehensive about having Botox injections, but after having the procedure I would absolutely recommend it. Dr.Krassin was so precise in his injections that my entire forehead looks 20 years younger!

Dr. Freed is by far the best eye doctor Ive ever had! He and his staff have been great from day 1. I will not go anywhere else. If I could add more stars I would. :)

The doctor I saw was very nice. However, I ordered new lenses for my frames as they we scratched. They said it would take 10-14 days to come in. It was 17. Then when I tried them on, the lens was still scratched on the left one. They apologized and reordered the lens. It took another week to get them back and when I went to try them on again, the right lens was scratched. So now it is almost a month later and I still dont have my glasses back and the only thing I was told was sorry.*I received a phone call from the manager after posting this. She was very apologetic and reassured me that they strive to keep their customers satisfied. She also offered to rectify the situation and assured me that she would follow up when I received my glasses. This is great customer service in my opinion, as things can happen, but a sincere apology and rectification can go a long way.

My twin 8 year old daughters saw Dr. Chris Freed last week for an eye exam. He was amazing. He had both my shy girls giggling. He asked them and me several questions, explained everything to my girls about what he was doing each step of the exam, taught them about their eyes and being nearsighted, and addressed any of their concerns and mine. Hard to find someone so good with kids and also so knowledgeable!

I would highly recommend Southwest Eye Care to friends and family members. My son recently had an eye injury at school and the level of care and concern we were showed went well above and beyond. Dr. Amy Freed was very thorough with her exam making us feel assured that he was receiving the best care possible. We see both Dr. Freeds for all of our annual eye exams as well as getting my husband and sons eye presciptions filled here. We would not go anywhere else!

We went to Chaska office and had a horrible experience with Office Management. They could never give us an accounting for what we should have paid and were completely dishonest with our insurance company.The Drs are good and personable.

No issues with the doctors, but they neglected to pre-check our insurance and didnt find out there was no coverage until after the $600+ bills came
