I dont have an issue with customer service like some other reviews; however, each time I go there the doctor reeks of cigarettes. When were in a very small room with the doctor inches from my face, its pretty offensive. I am switching because of this.
I have been going there longer than I probably should have. Terrible customer service but went for convenience. Contact prescription always fine but never felt I had a correct eye glass script. The last straw was when I had an irritated cornea. Prescribed steroids and was told to call if my vision worsened. It did. No one called me back. Called an ophthalmologist office and told them the situation. Took me in the same day. And diagnosis at Loveland wasn’t accurate.
I stopped in today to look for a pair of frames. I was blown away by the customer service that I got from Christie. She was phenomenal. Honest, knowledgable and patient. It’s a small spot, so prices are higher than chain stores, but I try to support the smaller businesses of I can and if the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Christie, especially if you are unsure of which style would suit your face. I honestly haven’t had customer service like that in a very long time!
I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service. Two weeks ago I called for a refill on monthly contacts I was informed that the computer system has been down for two weeks and they could not tell me what my child’s prescription was, Asked me if I save the box and I told him no he took his last monthly out two days ago what happened to rip while changing them out playing baseball in the box was thrown away, I then asked you don’t have a hard copy of your patients records in case something like this your computer system goes down to the world may crash. No ma’am was my answer OK let me see what I can do so I go through an old bag and I find an old prescription two exams ago I bring it in they kindly give me samples of two different Scripps hoping that one would be close enough also telling me that my child he put on the top of the emergency call list so that we can get him into the right contacts so his vision is it messed up. The past two days I’ve tried to call thinking maybe the computers are still down but no way that can’t be possible I’m thinking, Yesterday four times it goes directly to voicemail not a Loveland I care voicemail a High this number is unavailable right now please leave a message I leave a message an hour later I get a phone call back high we saw your number on the caller ID we can’t listen to our messages but we’re curious if you need our assistance with anything. Yeah I need your assistance I need my child to have contacts ordered that fit his eyes he’s now sitting in high school playing baseball with one eye blurry because we don’t have the same script I then called today I explain my situation to the young man who answered the phone he was a little snippy OK I’m gonna let that go and then when his response was will get to that call when we get to it I’m sorry what can I speak with your office manager he then put on the front desk manager she wasn’t too concerned of the behavior.I understand that things happen but this kind of overlook on anyone’s part and the attitude that I got was an acceptable never again will I go back to that office I lie I’m going tomorrow to pick up my son’s records and then again I will never return
COVID PRECAUTIONS ARE HORRIBLE. The waiting room was over crowded, no sanitation between customers. Most medical office are only allowing one person in at a time. Multiple people coming in together. They should have a better system for patient exams and picking up glasses/contacts . Medical staff was excellent but front desk staff not very friendly.

The front staff were super helpful and friendly and my appointment with Dr. Loveland was great! She addressed all of my concerns and I got a new prescription & new glasses. Only negative was I did wait about 40 minutes for my appointment, but I passed the time by finding a new pair of glasses. Would definitely recommend
This office always over schedules. Be prepared to wait an hour before they will actually see you. You have to clear either your whole morning or whole afternoon if you have an eye appointment.
I had an appointment and after waiting 30 minutes, I finally asked what was up. The answer was the optometrist was running late. They also have no good COVID practices as the office was constantly over filled with people and no cleaning being done. After an hour, she takes another person for an exam. Very poor scheduling, would never recommend this place to anyone.
I had a very good experience from start to finish.My appointment with the doctor started on time and he was very professional.Everyone in the office from the receptionist to the doctor to the women who helped me pick out my glasses; were very friendly and knowledgeable.My glasses were ready to be picked up in 8 days.

For some reason every call goes straight to voicemail no matter what day of the week/time of day it is, this has been an ongoing issue for YEARS! They’ll even send out text reminders that you need to schedule an appointment, but never answer the phone or return your call when you try to do so, I have even had staff tell me I never left a voicemail when I left several throughout the week. I used to love coming here, and simply can’t support this facility anymore - it’s extremely disappointing. I don’t have the time to chase the staff to call me back for an appointment I’ve been trying to make for months!!
The staff are really nice and I’ve gotten my glasses there every time for the past five years. They have good quality frames.
I came in on a Wednesday and was greeted before i even got to the receptionist by 2 people. I had an appointment at 2:30 with Dr. Loveland and had some paperwork to fill out before i saw her. As i was handing my paperwork in the technician in the back took me right away. Everyone was so delightful. My appointment only took about 30 mins and i was in and out. Most thorough exam i ever had and i will definitely will be back.

Loveland Eyecare is a great provider for service as well as glasses and contacts. Dr. Loveland is patient and takes the time to make sure that you are completely satisfied with your prescription. The staff are always welcoming and very knowledgable. The waiting room can be busy and they handle it very well. Michelle always has a smile and is very polite when taking care of the customers. Dr. Loveland has been so helpful with all of my eyecare needs. I never had someone be able to fit me with the perfect contact lenses and it was the first try! I also picked an awesome pair of Kate spades with their consultant Sue! She was wonderful and very patient with my picky ways..
The place is Excellent/professional !! Dr. Loveland is always in looking out for your best interest in mind. I will no doubt go anywhere else. Dont believe any of these bad reviews--If anyone has a issue there, speak your in when your there not in a review. Having bad eyes and always at risk, this is the only place I will ever go. I have been going to Dr. Loveland for many years. She is a fantastic doctor, who is always up to date on new techniques, and is also very helpful in resolving eye issues. She is also very down to earth and pleasant. The staff there is very well qualified and always very helpful.

Excellent pre and post sale customer service. The frames that I purchased from them were Ogas - a brand I highly recommend and have found at few other places. They look great and are the most comfortable frames I have ever worn. The doctor did a great job on my prescription too.Of particular note is the assistance that Brenda gave me this week with a warranty exchange. The hinge on my glasses broke over the weekend, and she went above and beyond helping me to get them replaced. This was particularly complex because I recently moved quite a long ways away from CT, and she coordinated with the manufacturer to have a store that is local to my new location handle the warranty exchange. I cannot say enough how pleased I am with the level of quality and service that has been delivered to me by Loveland. I highly recommend going here.
I made the 4 hour trip to Cromwell from Philadelphia because of the exceptional care by Dr. Loveland and associates. Im a returning patient, and would recommend this place to others!

I had a frustrating experience here at first, but Kylie and Charley resolved my complaint in a timely manner and far exceeded expectations. They were great 👍🏼 I will definitely be returning.
The facilities are nice but expect this office to milk you and your insurance for every penny. Prescribed Restasis then started scheduling appointments every few months, unnecessarily. The first excuse was because I was diabetic, the next was because I am using a prescribed substance.Just another one of those taking advantage of the system and a reason why deductibles keep going up.

Never again. They got my eyeglass order WRONG 3 times after 4 visits. I asked for my money back & went to walmart they got it right the first time. LOVELAND EYE CARE is Not the place to go
The only redeemable quality about this eye place is the service of Dr. Nancy Loveland. For my recent eye visit, to get new glasses, their newest eye doctor (with a friendly disposition and I am sure good intentions) misjudged the prescription I needed (when I got the lens, the prescription was way too strong and disorienting). Im not sure if this experience is common (I just know that in all my years wearing glasses, and getting my eyes tested, I always was given right prescription the first time). Anyway because of this issue with the prescription, the eye place had to request new lens from the lab (I in return, had to wait a little over 2 weeks for the new lens). Keep in mind, the old glasses I was relying on to carry me over until I got the new lens, have a broken frame, and right lens is just barely hanging in there (prescription is also very outdated by now), also the prescription power in the 30 day trial contacts they gave me started to wane greatly, this week in particular, greatly impacting my ability to make out much. When I asked if they could give me another trial pair to compensate for the wait, they stated that they didnt have any in stock (this could just be an internal policy to not keep giving out trial pairs rather than the actual reality). Just today, I got the adjusted lens with the proper prescription. New problematic issue- The lab apparently added a transition (shades like quality) to the adjusted lens- something I didnt request. I came home today shocked by the pitch black darkness that took over the lens as I entered my home, and was unable to see anything for about 15 minutes (I know for some, transitions lens are a benefit, but the principle is I didnt ask for transition lens, and having never had them before just threw me off). I just called the eye place immediately, and a gentleman from optical claimed that the lab is in the wrong, and that his original request was a non-transition lens. We then rallied back and forth, both frustrated. When I asked him a question on whether or not another adjusted lens from the lab would be at additional cost to me, he continued on and on not giving me a simple yes or no. When he calmed down, he said it would be free because the lab made a mistake. There is no way for me to determine if his original request was incorrect, unless I have an official copy of the document sent to the lab. I therefore, cannot determine if the true liability falls on them for requesting the wrong lens type from lab, or if the liability falls on the lab for making a mistake. Gut instincts say that a lab wouldnt tack on transition power to a lens unless it was accounted for. This place also has extremely long wait times, no matter who staff is. Theyve added new staff members since Ive been there last- not sure if the original people quit- or were fired. In any account, it doesnt matter. Poor service overall. I had to wait nearly an hour this morning to have them rectify an insurance question, that eventually took 5 minutes to handle when a staff member in optical with a lets get things done attitude, and knowledge handled my case. Point is, go here only if you like Dr. Loveland. Otherwise, stay clear and go to another provider that your insurace accepts. I dont frequent social forums, but I feel it is important for our voices to be heard, on smaller issues like the one I am describing or larger issues that affect more than just yourself. If you consistently get bad service (and your intent is to not just simply be a pain in the butt, or have an angry attitude) make your voice heard. I am waiting to see if they follow through on my adjusted lens next week, and that I receive the proper lens (prescription, non-transition and all). Unfortunately, I have to continue using them as a provider- as Ive ordered contacts from them. If youve consistently received poor service from this place, please speak out. If the staff does see this, thank you to Dr. Loveland for her kind, and efficient service. Advice to management- better training, shorter wait times.
This is the worst place ever! They refused to give my wife a copy of her eye script....and after waiting 2 months for an apt the day of the apppintment i dont have one. Worst place ever they do nothing good!

This isnt a personal incident however my friend went to get her very first pair of prescription glasses here. She had a very simple rx(Ive worked in an eyeglass shop before so I know) these glasses had to be sent to a lab and she did not receive them until A MONTH later. No explanation as to why it took so long. These glasses should have taken 3 days at most. She also wanted her pupillary distance for the future if she wanted to buy rx sunglasses online and they said it would be a FIFTY dollar charge! WHAT?! Where I worked ANYONE could walk in and wed mesure it for them, the fact she had her exam there and they wanted to charge her for it? Not right. They didnt even adjust them to fit her properly. So far as I can tell, STAY AWAY.

Last month i had to go to shop to grab stuff for my family member;very bad customer service, one of the blue eye spikey guy was totally non professional; at that time i thought he must be tired or its my perception but he was totally rude and irrespectful. he misbehaved with me and didnt appologise also i saw him with some other women misbehaving, he does not know how to behave with customers i saw him asking rudely what do you want and didnt even say Hi..., if Dr loveland needs to run this place she needs to replace that guy...... he is there most of the time and having bad impresssions on people.... would recommend not to deal with this person. otherwise the Dr is good.3 times very bad experience....
