Hat City installed my pool 18 years ago and have serviced it since then. They are thoroughly knowledgeable about, well everything related to pools and pool maintenance. I recently had an issue with my pump and they stayed with the issue until it was replaced under warranty. I cant say enough good things. And the new premises are great.

They opened the pool for me last Tuesday and the guy who came was nice helpful with showing my mother some things as I was not able to be there and even showed me how to backwash the line via a small video. This was very helpful. However when I scheduled the initial cleaning a week later, they came and left the pool dirtier than it was. The pool was not circulating water and the power was working and filter running and everything. When I reached out via email that night I gave them a few hours to reply in the morning and nothing. So I called and they said the work order said the power was out in the pool which it wasn’t because it was fully operational when I got home that evening. However if that was true why wouldn’t they call me and give me a heads up instead of doing nothing and have me come home to an even dirtier pool? The communication was not good. When I called they said the owner would call back soon. I waited 3 more hours with no response. I called back and they said the owners were busy and would call by the days end. Customer service is BIG with me. If Hat City Pools does the right thing and actually cleans my pool and makes up for the service I paid them for then this review will change. Sincerely, annoyed and stressed with family coming over to enjoy the pool this Friday 5/28.

We have been clients/customers of Hat City Pools for the past 15 years. We have our pool opened and closed by their staff each year. We have also purchased 2 pools from them. We are currently without a pool as our pool was damaged during last seasons closure. Despite the fact that we informed Hat City of the damage back in February, we have been getting the runaround in reference to when a new pool will be installed. This is so disappointing since it was their error. It would be nice if someone from Hat City could step up and attempt to make reparations. We are extremely unhappy and dissatisfied.

Just had my liner replaced after 19 years. I am amazed how well the pool walls and base held up it looked really good. This is no doubt due to the same folks that installed the pool 19 years ago, were the same folks that replaced the liner yesterday. I cant praise these folks enough. Their dedication to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend HAT CITY POOLS for all your pools needs.Thanks Again

Absolutely wonderful company.I had an issue with a previous company and had to restart my order process for a new hot tub. Hat City proved to be true professionals. They took the reigns and delivered exactly as promised. They were and are available for any questions I have regarding chemicals etc. I was going to order a regular hot tub but Jamie suggested the salt water and we love it. I would 100% recommend this company. Rebekah is super helpful and has amazing patience with my relentless questions. :) 5 stars!

Hat city pools is the best pool store around. They give you the honest truth of what you need for your pool and don’t give you the extra useless stuff. With the great weekly service I received for the past 6 years. The salespersons are very knowledgeable and helpful. The manager Rebekah is always super helpful and friendly with any of my pool needs. And the two owners Rich and Jaime are always extremely helpful and have made my pool look beautiful.I highly recommend Hat City for any of your pool needs!

The staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable, AND PATIENT! When we first started coming here, we had just bought a house that had a pool and a hot tub -- neither of which were we familiar with. Theyve been great with us - answering all of our questions thoroughly - and helping us through the aches and pains of learning about pool and hot tub ownership. No matter how busy they are, were always greeted by name and with a smile. I highly recommend their services.

Definitely the place to go in Danbury. Theyre always careful not to oversell you on chemicals, unlike other places weve been to. Friendly staff, always have good advise and willing to take the time to talk through any water issues!

Bad experience with service of hot tub. Did not start after power outage, called them and tech came and got it started. He left mssg stating it was the heating element. 3 days later I turned off system and drained it by the book. About 3-4 weeks later I filled it and it did not start.I call them back. Tech comes back and says he had to change the heating element again because the one he replaced already got corroded. So I asked if that meant I would have to change it every 4 weeks and his answer was probably yes due to water chemical levels. Then I stated that in reality the system was only on 3 days since they were there about 3-4 weeks ago. He had no good answer. They billed me twice, total charge almost 700 dollars, even after I got the tech in a lie. I went down there in person to talk and the guy there brought out the manager who said she will investigate and call me. They never did and just sent the second bill again. Lesson learned, make sure you are present and right next to them if you use them to service your hot tub. Very shady. Dirty tactics

Great service; always helpful figuring out what to add and how to add chemicals to keep the pool in tip top shape.Been customer from the get go and although closer locations for pool supplies Hat City is our go to for all pool stuff.

I have had nothing but praise for the staff and the service in the past - so much that I ditched a previous long business relationship to switch to Hat City Pools. yet this very last experience is not sitting well with me - hence the 1 star feedback....I called a few days ago and wanted to have my hot tub filled. last time they suggested an alternative delivery guy that does hot tubs (Hat City Pool delivery is with a semi, and geared for large pools). I stated what I wanted, how many gallons I needed, and the person at Hat City Pool still dispatched the semi (which not even made it 1/2 way down the driveway). not only was it a hassle for the driver, but also came at a significantly higher cost...after I called and reported the above, I was basically told that it is what it is, and it seemed as they couldnt get me off the phone fast enough.......and it is highly unlikely that they will react to the above feedback...

The power of the pen. First off the staff are extremely rude. After church my family and I went into hat city to get a few things for our pool . It was at least four staff on duty and the lady was helping a customer. As soon as the lady who works there finished ringing up a customer she ( the employee) walks away from register area while we standing at the other register. She just walked away and went towards the back of store . After about 3-5 minutes she comes back and asked were we ready. She was very agitated and rude to my wife . Meanwhile I asked for help from one of the gentleman who directed us to the lady . So I guess four workers two must be stock and the only reason Im stated this is because the store was empty. One gentleman was helping a customer so that left three employees and none of the employees wanted to help us when asked for help. I would never recommend or patronage this store again . It must be a minority issue

Called just before closing. Was told they have pump. Said we would be in. Got to store next day at opening and no pump!
