The food at Ponchos is second to none. Everything is made fresh and it never leaves me unsatisfied or with undesired side effects later on. Its by far my favorite establishment to eat

Chief cooks great. Gives so much food you can eat for 2 days from left overs. Everything made fresh. Very healthy with the fruits and vegetables he cooks with. Yummy.

A group of 6 friends pick a different place every Taco Tuesday and today we descended on Ponchos Tacos.Surprisingly they didnt have any specials like many of other places do in town.Another note, dont get your tastebuds set to have a margherita. They have no alcohol license sadly!3 of our friends had the 3 tacos for $10. It comes with rice and beans and is quite a meal. Another got a single Taco with rice & beans, which were extra. Another in the group had the Carne Asada burrito (which was HUGE) and I had the 3 Empanadas for $10 (2 ground beef & 1 chicken) which only came with lettuce, pico de gallo. No beans or rice, unlike the taco 3 for $10. Everyone throughly enjoyed their food....EXCEPT me! 🤷🏻‍♂️The Empanadas were very good except they had been fried until the shells were burnt, especially 1 of them that was black.Still, it wasnt bad enough that I wouldnt give them another chance...if they get their liquor license.

My wife and I live a block away and have been eager to try this establishment. We each got a taco salad (1 Beef & 1 steak) and they were excellent. The price, portions and service was great!!! Hopefully they can ad margaritas & Coronas soon... Keep up the good work guys.

Food was absolutely awesome, portions were definitely well worth the money!. Salsa tasted homemade as well as the chips. I got there fajita steak burrito with all the fixins, and let me tell you this picture does it no justice! Other than the small piece I cut off it was about the size of my arm. Me and my boyfriend live right across the street, so trust me we will be back!.

Great food and great hospitality. Burritos are like the ones from the 24hr places in WA,CA & CO that I like. I come here several times per month. Way better than the few other Mexican places in the area, better than anything over the bridge for sure.

I will say, this place is by far really really good! Almost want to say better than La Fiesta 🤫🤐Just had 1 dish (American style, Birria taco) with some queso dip, which was probably the best queso dip I have had in a while 🤤 Make sure you get the dip with the Birria taco. Its like the juices the meat is sitting in..I would recommend this place for a good Mexican street style dish...My only complaint was the shredded beef was not very shredded... Maybe I just a chunk of beef they missed, but that wont stop me from coming back... Just will make me ride home with beef stuck in my teeth from having to bite down to rip it.*You will get messy eating this dish*

There is another called Ponchos Tacos and its the same place but has more reviews. i decided to post a review to both pages. I had the Mangonada and it was amazing!! Great serving size and great taste within a reasonable price. The staff seemed super welcoming and the place was decorated beautifully with the hand-carved chairs.

I just got a carry out. I ordered chicken tacos and 2 tamales. I got beef or Goat!! I called poncho, not really interested in my call. I will not go back. TIA CORIS ROCKS $18 for real? Never again. Good luck with your business

My new Mexican son-in-law picked the restaurant and I was concerned a place so small on Seabreeze could not be good, but honestly it was absolutely the best Mexican food Ive ever had. I cant wait to get more. Ill be going out of my way to eat there very often.

My mom and I went here to pick up dinner tonight! The owner came out to great us and asked us how we were doing, which was super sweet of him! He’s super personable too, him and his wife carved and painted every chair in the place! They have fruity waters, I got the strawberry one but my mom liked the piña colada flavor!You won’t regret getting a taco (or three) from this place!

I decided to try this place out because of someone’s review of the Mangonada. The treat did not disappoint! My family also enjoyed their chicken empanadas and the key lime ice cream. If and when I return to Daytona I would like to try all the items on the menu. Everything is made fresh to order. We watched as they fried up the chips. Delicious!By the way there is 2 hour street parking and a side parking lot available. It’s a quick car ride from the beach.

This is probably the most authentic Mexican food you can get in Daytona. Soooo good and they have friendly service. Carne asada fries are delicious!

Street corn and burritos were very good. Mexican tacos were subpar. Ordered to-go food and didn’t receive napkins or silverware. Cans of Dr Pepper were $2 each, which I think is a bit ridiculous. All in all, I wouldn’t return because there are too many delicious authentic Mexican places in the area that are cheaper, with better service and quality.

I’ve had a lot of tacos and in my opinion Ponchos Tacos has the absolute most best pork Carnitas tacos that I have ever had in my entire life. The portions are huge and the owner and service is amazing, he is very attentive and polite. It is obvious that they take pride in putting out phenomenal products. I also have a severe wheat allergy so I don’t go to restaurants ever because I’m afraid of cross-contamination to which they go out of their way to guarantee that that doesn’t happen. If you love tacos then this is the place to go. The Best In Town.

Good casual taco shop. Torta Al Pastor was good, but no slice of cheese on it, bread and meat were very good. Chips were good but salsa a little sweeter than I like.

Best birria tacos around

Odd that I should say that after 50 years of traveling and eating at every taco joint I ever encountered, these are the best tacos I have ever eaten. I had tinga de pollo, asada, and birria. Every one was amazing. The proteins were all bursting with flavor. I mean, delicious in every respect! I could eat that birria taco with their house hot sauce every day for lunch.

So far Ive had the Cochinita Pibil flour tacos, and a Burrito al Pastor both were delicious! The amount for food for the price is a great deal. I posted a pic of the burrito it is huge. Reminds me of Bennys Burritos in NYC (for those of you that are NYers). Oh and lets not forget the Mangonada... yum; although thats an aquired taste of a spicy mango/strawberry mix. But if you really like spicy try the mango/chile paleta (popsickle) that will wake your tastebuds. The paletas are all natural and all are delicious.. the Nuez (nut) paleta tastes like the old school MaryJane candy. Try the food and experiemnt with the paletas many are unique flavors of Mexico! This spot gets a big Olé!

The best Mexican food in the stse of florida. Hands down frsh food everyday. My wife is from California and weve tried so many places and yet they all failed. BUT NOW we have found the closest food to California for her. The flavors are awesome and the horchata was the best since Cali. Thanks for great food and service

Im from az and cant find anything even close to what Im used to. Mexican out here is hard to find and its expensive! It was 30$ just for two asada burritos and two large horchatas! Im from az so this is ridiculous expensive. It was sad 4/10. I wont be back due to the prices/ lack of options. Not worth the drive from Ormond beach for me... I MISS MY FOOD TRUCKS lmaoo 🤣

Great food. The gr beef tacos were a lil greasy for takeout cause it made tortilla soggy but taste was spot on. The barria tacos and Pollo tinga es muy delicioso ice cream is great its out 4th time here.

Tonight was our 1st try and most assuredly far from our last. The burritos appeared to be put into a press to give the flour tortilla a bit of a crisp to it. The meat marinade could be tasted. The homemade ice cream is thick and divine. We fed 3 people including drinks and dessert for just under $60. Well definitely be back.

Gross. Dont waste your time or money. The rice was mushy. Beans were ok, for refried/reheated No-salt beans. Tacos had a slight hint of beef flavor, and strings of beef? mixed with ground beef. Taco shells (homemade?) were tough. Definitely not a place I would recommend. Two stars because the guy who impatiently took my order brought the food to me.

Got a recommendation from Bryan at O’Connel’s Pub down the street to come here for the best tacos in Daytona, and he did not fail me. My fiancé and I both got the birria tacos, split the queso, and got an order of taquitos. After finishing the queso and tacos, we couldn’t even get to the taquitos and had to take them home. The food was PHENOMENAL, and the taquitos were awesome, even as lunch the next day. 10/10 recommend this to anyone looking for great tacos at a great price.

Went on their grand opening and have been almost every week since! Best place and best staff (-: best elote, horchatas, mangonadas, and tacos in town!Only thing I wish was better was their phone orders. I’ll usually have to call about 4 times, before they pick up.

We came here bc we saw tacos and iceream, and WOW what a bombshell find. Not only is the food freakin delicious, but they arent shy on portion size. The guac is the best ive ever had and it tasted like it was just made. You can tell instantly everything is homemade and they care a lot about their craft.
