Bought a bottle of sauce on 08-13-2021Found out the sauce is bad after wasting a pot of soupWent back to market to return on 08-31-2021 because I live in OntarioBut refused to get refund nor credit by managerReason was I came back too late.I called Chang-tue LA (manufacturing company)later and a gentle man answered phone with apology and wanted to refund personally.Chang-tue (장터)products have my total trustIf I could I want to give five stars to Chang-tueAnd I’ll tell this story to all my friends and family
Came into the store but didnt find what I was looking for. Ended finding out it what I was looking for is Vietnamese. Thank you guys for giving me proper direction. I really love the large selection of beverages that are provided. You can find a great variety of teas here.
Very interesting place. This place has groceries and kitchen supplies and appliances, clothing and a little restaurant. They even have live abalone. They have a wide variety of Asian foods and produce. Its a little warm and semi crowded, but we had a nice shopping trip here. I would return if I needed to get some stuff that I wouldnt be able to get at the local market. If you like 99 ranch, and that kind of thing, this one is worth checking out.
Great service here, I come here alot with my mom, aunt, uncle and grandpa ever since I was 6 years old to now. The bakery, the hot deli and the cafe to eat spicy Jam-bong noddle soup and black bean/soy bean stir fry Jia-Jang noodles with preserved meat and vegetables and samples of fruits and hot sweet potatoes and yams or demo of cooked frozen foods youve got to try as a customer and buyers here.
I sliced open a 🍉. It was bad. I took it back. Show the clerk the receipt. No problem! Color brand new one that was as sweet as can be!
First time I went there today .. wow i loved it.. especially because I went for one reason Korean sweet potatoes ... I am Mexican American and wanna make candied Korean sweet potatoes ... saw a recipe on YouTube and I knew I had to get some original sweet potatoes .. first I went all over the market and finally decided to go the vegetables and fruits section and I see a lady selling sweet potatoes already made!!! Also selling some corn! Wow I got some and let me tell you they were delicious !!
The price is really good compare to other asain grocery market and staffs are really kind and nice.
Can get a little chaotic with all of the various pallets of merchandise throughout the store. At times, they have excellent prices on produce. Having shops within the market can create issues with customer circulation, but I understand that this is part of the design.I have had take-out food from here which has been excellent. Hannam covers most of the household and kitchen needs, especially for Korean cooking.
Always love shopping here. Best little 빵 store. Good price for 소주 and 막걸리!
Its closest asian (korean) market you can drive from Ontario area.Wide selection of Korean products but prices are higher in compared to other big markets. But offer fresh fish and meat department where you can buy most of asian style meats and fish. They do sashimi with preorder.Im giving 3 stars because cashiers are not friendly at all.
Nice big supermarket, plenty of asian products.
Ive known this small Korean market for decades. And even over those years, its kept its local neighborhood quaint feel. They have the small food venues throughout the store where you can grab all the comfort foods like spicy rice cake stir fry, black bean sauce noodles, and the red bean filled goldfish hot bread. They gave all the Korean fair you need, especially all the Korean-style snacks. Thre workers are friendly and hard working.
They have decent tasting gaibi
Nice red great price but they cant use my phone numbers of point
The market is stock the good stuff. Lots of fruit that Koreans like Persians are known for. But their attitude towards non-korean leave the lot to be desired. They look. I think upon everybody thats non Korean. I guess that is their culture.
The merchandise are good and cheap.
DO NOT BUY from this store! The worst quality ever! Fruits and veggies are not fresh at all! Moldy and rotten! Every time!
I dont like giving bad review, especially a Korean market. Though I had no issues with experience or people there. It was more of the veggies and fruits that werent on par with what I would get at a Korean market in LA. Youre better off driving to LA to go to a Korean market if this is your only choice.
Not only can buy Korean foods, oriental foods too. prices are pretty good.
This is my go-to place for Korean products. I don’t get to eat Korean food often so this place helps with that. Hard to find boxes of ready-to-go brown rice (only white rice). But other than that, stop on by. The bakery is also decent with nice/sweet employees.
Koran supermarket, very diverse selection of produce.
Caters mainly to the Korean community. Good selection and reasonable prices. Prepared bulgogi ready to grill. I particularly like a brand of kimchi with NO MSG.
Korean market, end up products like 99 ranch.... :(
Cashiers need educated how to attend customers. My experience was rude and rude..!!Maybe they forget that customers are the one who pays there paychecks.Remember..!!without customers you wouldnt be working....
I have a great shopping experience every time I go to this grocery store
This place has variety of Korean food available. This make it very easy for me to prepare the authentic Korean dishes for my family. It provide some discount popular items.
Great place to get Korean fruits & vegetables. Clean, great location. Customer Service is awesome!! Everyone is friendly. They do have little shops inside the grocery store for food, clothing, Teas/fresh fruit drinks. Wheelchair accessible as well which is important for my family. I definitely recommend to check out this store!! Prices are affordable!!
It was a good and satisfied to find the store.
Its okay I mean where else can you get korean grocery other then h mart. Their produce is rarely fresh. And also had a controversial jacked up prices of rice during the beginning of the pandemic which upset many customers.
Such a pleasant place to shop.Reasonable prices and friendly workers!
Good Korean grocery market, price little more than other markets
The employees are always courteous, friendly and very helpful. I love their meats. The store is always clean. Great job.
I just arrived there at 8:45pm and the door was still open not closed. So I was rushed to go in as I know it was going to be closed soon and all I need is a beef rips for soup. Then I was called to stop by an employee that it was closed. I asked why it was closed when the doors are still open and the google maps shows it’s close time is 9pm. He said it’s only on Sunday, it’s 8:30pm.Well, honestly, I don’t if it’s really closed at 8:30pm on Sunday or it’s just because they want to close it earlier on Sunday. You know, we all have that “want to leave early” thought sometime in our life. But at least you should change it on the web so customers like me won’t drive there from another county to there only because they have the beef with bones that are not sold in regular American supermarkets. Not to mention, there’s several other customers that were turned down while we arrive. I hope the manager can make sure the store is closed at the right time coz I’ve been to costco and other typical American supermarkets without time difference issues.
Just another large Asian market in the area. The selections are good. The vegetables and fruits seemed fresh. There is a food court in the store that offers a good selection of Korean food. I didn’t have any while there but there were a lot of eaters, and that was 9:30pm so the food must be pretty decent. Prices seem reasonable and in a number of instances seems to be cheaper than nearby grocery stores. Will go back again.
Great yummy goodies to buy
Korean Singo pears do not taste as delicious.
Great place to shop for Asian grocery, especially Korean.
Terrible dirty disgusting expensive rude. Convenient.
Its the grand-daddy of Korean supermarkets in the Walnut - Diamond Bar area but still managing to hold its own against the newer arrivals. (Namely, H Mart a couple of freeway exits away.) We like the Japanese restaurant and other quick food service in the market. The fruit and produce section is respectable and deals are always to be found. Paris Baguette and the Goodwill store in the same plaza has helped to keep the shopping center relevant. Plus good freeway close location. Hope this place stays around for a long time.
Good place to shop ingredients for Korean homemade food.
They have fresh fruits and other different Asian snacks. I always go here sometimes buying groceries. Although dont expect anything special just your average Asian supermarket.
Its an Asian market where you can get most of what you expected. Very good fresh fruit selection at great sale prices on selected items.
Great Korean food selections.
Best place to get Chinese and Korean groceries. Half of the building is a swap meet of sort. The swap meet is awesome. You can find all different kinds of things.. Such as clothes, jewelry, specialty food items. Too many things to list. Worth checking out.
Nice Place
Clean snd kind cashier.
A Good place for Asian productsI frequently visit this market for seafood stuff..
The store has reasonably priced groceries and a good variety of snacks. As mentioned in multiple reviews, their customer service training needs help. My wife shopped there with the baby and she said the security guard followed her. When I pay with cash, they almost always hold it up to the ceiling light to check if its counterfeit.
I love this store
I usually come to this supermarket to buy things, I feel good, but today I met a male Mexican cashier who has a very poor service attitude. It is very rude to my father. We will never come again. We are consumers. It is very unpleasant for us to come to be mad at you. I hope that your attitude needs to be improved.
We really like going here they have great snacks that are really delicious one of our favorites are the banana puffs they look just like a Cheeto puffs but theyre yellow and it tastes like banana and theyre really delicious.. another one of their snacks that come in a bag that I really like are the sweet potato snack in the purple bag it shows a picture of the sweet potato snacks and they have little black sesame seeds through them that makeup absolutely delicious it really is a must-try and another thing I really like is their selection of high-end and low-end chopsticks you really got to go in and see this stuff its a really great store!
To expensive. Not good to buy groceries there. And not fresh vegetables. :-(
Unimpressive meat selection and overall layout of store. Very limited options in spices, sauces and other foods beyond Korean cuisine. Interior is outdated and cramped. Employees are nice and speak English. Overall, not a great market considering nearby competition offers much more and higher quality. The positive: great location adjacent to freeways and ingress/egress into plaza.
Good place for the grocery
Good selection of Korean foods to include kimchee and lots of side dishes served at Korean restaurants. Also has thinly sliced meats used in Korean BBQ at reasonable prices. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits.
Decent Korean market
Pretty good Korean market.Their prices are very unclear in some sections, so if you think youre getting a good deal on something you might be wrong.I bought a jar of kimchi clearly marked $5 which ended up being $14, but they were very gracious about returns which was nice. Most of their instant noodles were overpriced by about a dollar it seemed, and theyre selection was ok.Their cashier was kinda rough with our food which was kind of annoying, and I felt like their armed guard was giving me weird looks.Im super on the fence about this place. Its probably worth checking out and deciding for yourself.
Chinese food kitchen cutting board is almost black color. H mart better. money but quality better
I love this grocery store, even if it takes me 35 minutes to get too. Great place to shop, and find deals. The employees are very nice. I come here to pick up all my needs when making a korean dish or getting some essential foods. Some labels are only in hanguel, but some have translations on the side.
Cheap in season fruitsSome ready to eat dishesSmall food court
Prices can be improved otherwise a great selection. The salmon skin rolls are great at the restaurant
They have the best side dishes made daily. No long lines at cashier as they have many cashiers working. Best jumbo dumpling made fresh.
Its okay, but maybe I expected too much..little disappointed.
Shelf items are very dirty and dusty. Decent variety and prices. Cashiers are somewhat friendly. A few restaurants to eat at before, during or after shopping, too.
Fruits and Meat are expensive. Kim Chi and Green Onions are great prices.
That was awesome
Great place for Korean staples and snacks. The produce/meats section is decent quality and decently priced. Service is pretty bad, but you cant expect too much for an Asian market.
Produce is always cheap here. Good selection of Asian products. I highly recommend having shopping here!
Closer to my house but a little expensive and not many choices than other Korean groceries in Buena Park. So I am using here only needed.
Good variety of groceries and reasonably priced. Theres also two restaurants /food stall at both ends of the store.
The item selection looks a little better than the other similar market close by. However, some of the snacks I bought tasted stale, even if they were not expired. They dont seem to turn on the air conditioner cool enough to protect the foods when the weather is really hot. Also, the customer service was not satisfactory.
Good place to get your Korean food. Easy in and out. Prices on vegetables are great. A few restaurants are located inside the store.
They have good selection and decent pricing. location is good too but can use some renovation to freshen up.
Food is great. Place is clean. But I saw an employee in the restroom who DID NOT wash her hands after using the restroom!
Typical Korean grocery store with reasonable prices
Quality is lacking. Produce isnt fresh. Great place to shop for Korean snacks though. Selection and price for snacks is a lot better than H Mart.
Fresh produce. Safe environment.
Interesting place, so much food that I dont know about. But. I was not happy about the cleanliness of the place. Freezers open, some out of service, and such. Very friendly cashier. Again Interesting place for a east coast person.
Out of the neighboring Korean markets it is on the lower rated markets. The fruits are often rotten in the inside and the market is generally dirty. It is quite difficult to get fresh fruits here, so I would recommend going to other Korean markets since there are many other choices to go to.
Doesnt have as variety of selections nor is it very organized or clean looking. Feels like a market of the past.
This market had good selections of Korean, Chinese, & American foods. Prices are very compatible . One of longer history of Korean Market in Southern california.
Competitive price. Nabak kimchi is one of a few reasons I dare to go to shop at this market. But do not expect any form of good services from staff here. If you ask a plastic bag to a cashier while he is scanning out your items, he will reply like this, Thank you so much for asking SO EARLY. Sarcasm.. You should ask it BEFORE he starts scanning any of your items. Yes, you need speed. lol Yeah, you need to take care of staffs mood while you spend your money here.
Hannam Chain is the market you can find in So Cal. This particular place is well maintained and clean place where you can find Korean, different ethnical foods and typical grocery market items.
Beware. There was a False advertising incident on a product. Customer service is terrible. Not only that the manager, Charlie Kim, would not honor the price advertised. Employees working there were rude and started to falsely accuse and berate a customer. They security guard would say shaatup and try to act like a gangster. The people there are unreasonable and unbelievably rude to customers. Manager Charlie Kim accuses the customer of stealing price tags when he went to ask his name. The customer was really insulted. He accused the customers zero proof... Mr. Kim was the one who actually took the tags and lost them. How is it the customers fault if you cant even keep track of your own store items. How do you have the gall to accuse a customer with proof? Is that how you treat customers? The staff needs extensive training. Beware shopping here.
Not the cleanest or the best selection but good enough if youre in a pinch for Korean food.
Got here by an accident but enjoy it so much that we have to made a trip back here later that day.
One of my favorite place to get korean grocery. The food court inside are awesome as well, if you love noodles, must try the seafood noodle soup on the left side of the market.
Great selection of Asian groceries and products.Fast checkout.
My go to place for all my seafood. Large selection of live clams & oysters.
Variety of sea food. Very neat space, prices affordable!
Good
I drive from big bear mountain monthly to load up on groceries. Clean, well organized, friendly service. Sure beats driving to L.A. Ktown.
Lots of different varieties of Asian foods offered. A very good place to go to get supplies for your Asian food adventure.
Clean and more choice than other Korea market
