After visiting and speaking to a few VW dealers I got a call from Akeem from Dover VW. He was very sympathetic to the bad experiences I had with the other dealers and listened to me. We all know there is a shortage of cars but Akeem offered to look for one for me. After a few weeks I got the good news that the exact car I wanted was coming in to Dover. Akeem called me and was just ad excited as I was. So last Thursday 8/19 I was able to pick up my beautiful brand new Tiguan !! One think I hate to do is all the paperwork at the Dealership. Akeem and his Sales Manager Fernando made this transaction seamless !! I can’t thank them enough !!!

The purchasing experience was great. Now I want to cancel the service contract I purchased as an add on. I have reached out to the finance manager who told me I could cancel it at any time if it didn’t work for me and Morgan who sold me the car. I’ve texted and I’ve emailed. No response.EDIT: They are working with me to get the cancellation paperwork for the service contract. Sent this past Friday. My main gripe was that I ended up with 4 hard inquiries on my credit report - when only 1 was needed for financing.Second: when they said the car would be delivered - it was not clear that meant this new car was going to be driven from VA to DE - putting over a hundred miles on the vehicle. This meant when I got the car, there were fingerprints, dirt in the front grill, etc. so it dampened the thrill of getting a new car.Other than that, I do recommend.We are enjoying the vehicle. It was needed to meet our family needs and we look forward to many years ahead with it.

I have never in my life had such a great experience when buying a car honest-to-God. I usually dread the car buying experience. However Akeem and his manager Fernando Provided me with the utmost professional friendly personable experience but I could have ever expected at Winner Volkswagen. It was this 3 men who sat down had a transparent conversation kept it real worked out a deal that worked for everybody. And for that I could not be more grateful. I told my wife I have never ever left a car dealership smiling and feeling happy, and that changed today and you know what? I even had a great experience with the finance guy Brandon. Over the past week and a half I spent time looking at the 2020 Atlas Cross Sport. On Saturday, March 20, 2021, I was told by Josh that we had a deal via email and when would I like to come do the paperwork. I was paying cash so I said Monday, March 22 around 6 pm. However, contact me so I can give you my credit card for a deposit. Thinking they were busy on a Saturday, I didnt hear back quickly but wasnt concerned. I did email back and say I forgot I had a Monday night board meeting, however, what time Tuesday would work for you. ..still thinking I had a deal. and I would give my credit card for a deposit. At 6:05 pm....five minutes after they closed, of course, Fernando emailed me to say the car was sold. So.....so much for their word on having a deal.Email exactly at 1:52 pm.:Great News LisaMy manager says we have a deal so when will you be able to take delivery of the vehicle ?Thank You for choosing Winner :)I am extremely disappointed in their customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would. Had a recall done. My Atlas R line came back to me with two chips in the paint on the side of the car. The GM took my car back to have it “buffed out” and brought it back with no improvements. He then argued with me that it was there before (it was not, I just hand washed the car a few days ago and definitely was not there). He also said it was a rock chip, on the side of the car, not the front, the side. He was very rude and abrupt, had the mentality of “oh well it’s not our fault or our problem”. I asked to speak to someone else, he said he’s the highest person there. So I asked for VW’s number then and he told his employee to get it while he stormed off. Completely unprofessional. Do give them your business. Take your money elsewhere like I will be from now on. No wonder they treat people’s cars carelessly with supervision like that.EDIT* they said that the picture showed a chips but IT DID NOT. It was a very grainy picture zoomed in on looks similar but not the chips. The reflection of the lights make it look like there are chips and scratches all over the curved fender. You say you don’t think it’s a fair review. I say it’s not fair that you chipped my paint and left me high and dry. Fix the pain and I’ll update the review accordingly.

I typically do not post reviews, but figured I would share my experience as a warning to any potential customers. I own a 2016 Volkswagen Golf that I purchased new from another dealership. Ive gone to Winner Volkswagen previously for small appointments - oil changes, milestone appointments (10k miles, 20k miles, etc) and was never really impressed by their pricing and they always try to up-sell you with various services and part changes (tire rotations, inspections etc) and thats fine - all what I would consider very standard in the dealership arena, especially for Volkswagen. Additionally, they are the closest dealership to my work and home. However, my recent experience at Winner is what is at the heart of this negative review. This week I brought my vehicle to Winner to receive service because my vehicle was displaying a check engine light. I purchased an extended warranty with the vehicle when I bought it brand new and asked the dealership to contact the warranty company prior to doing any repairs to make sure everything would be covered and all of the proper steps are taken. After inspecting my vehicle in the shop I was told the issue was a leaking water pump. Winner called the warranty company and came back to me with the following news - the warranty would only cover half the cost of the part and none of the labor.In total I would need to pay $998 for the repair including the water pump for $156. This story did not add up to me, so I asked to be excused and called the warranty company myself. Immediately upon receiving my call I was able to speak to the warranty representative that had corresponded with the dealership. He told a completely different story - the warranty company offered to cover the cost of the part as well as up to 5 hours of labor and diagnostic fees to the dealership. The rep then suggested the dealership was trying to drastically mark up the cost of the parts and labor to make extra money and suggested I take my vehicle elsewhere and even offered to tow the vehicle if it was not able to be driven. When pressed about how I would owe nearly $1,000 out of pocket for these repairs when I had a policy to cover the parts and labor, I received no coherent answer from the dealership. Additionally, there was no explanation for why I was told labor would not be covered and only half the part would be covered - which was entirely incorrect. To me this seemed like an effort to potentially double-dip - get money from the warranty company while charging me full cost for repairs or just refusing to go through the effort of working with the warranty company altogether. I informed Winner that I would be taking my business elsewhere. Unfortunately, I was not able to leave without paying diagnostic fees - which I had to pay out-of-pocket because the warranty company would only cover the diagnostic fees in the shop that ends up doing the repair.One last bit of information to add to this, and really the reason I am leaving this review, is their follow-up call. The day after leaving the dealership I received a call from Winner asking how my service went. I politely described the situation and explained the inconsistencies with their cost estimates and the misinformation regarding my warranty. Rather than offering to put me through to a manager or someone who could clear up any potential misunderstandings, etc, she simply said well Im sorry to hear that and abruptly hung up the phone. To me, this does not seem an appropriate way to handle such a situation if they were truly concerned about customer satisfaction or that all employees are operating in an above-board manner.Based on this experience I would not return to this dealership, which is unfortunate for me considering its convenient location in proximity to my home and work. I would recommend anyone considering using Winner Volkswagen does so cautiously and does not just pay a bill that is given to them without question.

One of the most pleasant experiences in a while at a dealership! I’ve bought quite a few cars and I usually hate going to the dealership however I recently went to Winner VW Dover, De and was greeted by Lisa. What an awesome experience. I honestly felt welcomed as soon as she greeted my mother and I at the door. It was almost like we were old friends catching up. Lisa’s attentiveness to what I was looking for most certainly paid off. I love my Passat and I can’t wait to come back and purchase another in the future. WV service department is one of the worst. 3 hour wait for a simple 20,000 mile maintenance check and they did not do the work correctly. Called to to get clarification regarding them checking off that my windshield wipers were in great condition and my windshield was perfect were laughable. My windshield has a crack and my wipers are falling off. Then my car now drift to the right. Called service and was transfer 3 different times to end up speaking with no one and just leaving a voicemail with of course, no call back. BEWARE

Service department is replacing the passenger air bag under the recall. My 2012 outback was 600 miles over the 80,000 mile warranty for goverment EPA mandated coverage. Subaru regional service, declined any coverage or help. The dealership ( Carol in Service)was helpful with recommendation and recall followup. Thank you!
Terrible experience, called and verified car in stock and was sent an offer letter by email that wasnt honored by sales manager. This dealer was underhanded, gives car dealers a bad image and its why online car sales are taking off. Dont be a loser avoid Winner VW!
My husband and I came in tonight just to price out a new car. We talked to Tom and the new GM, Rick. Both employees were beyond amazing. As a person who works in retail and sales, I can tell the difference between someone who is just trying to sell to you, and someone who is really trying to get to know you and what you want. Which is so refreshing to experience for someone who is on a car hunt! This car dealership truly appreciates anyone in the military, and they arent afraid to show it. Not only was the customer service phenomenal, but the prices and deals on the cars were great too. The overall atmosphere was so laid back. Salesperson was great. Manager is very tight and will haggle for every last dime. Ended up buying the car anyways after a battle. They only put 1/2 a tank of gas in the car. They value the $18 more than the customer.
The service department at Winner Volkswagen is outstanding. I called in the morning the day after Christmas with a recall problem. They had me bring it right in and had it repaired within three hours. They gave me a rental to use while my car was in the shop. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make the unexpected visit painless.

I have been in for service twice at Winner VW and my 3rd visit will be next week, Im sorry to say that I have had a similar experience as Nicholas Sinclair when he complained about his oil light coming on shortly after his visit. On both of my visits where I had the oil & filter changed my check oil light came on less than 1,000 miles after the service visits. The first time I took it back in and they added a quart of oil. The second time I was a quart low and added it myself. They told me that its not uncommon for this to happen which I do not believe. My car does NOT burn oil. In both instances when it was added it lasted until my next fully synthetic change change 10,000 miles later. I have NEVER had this experience with the dealer where I purchased my car in MD. If this should occur again after my 3rd visit next week I will have to look elsewhere for service.

I can honestly say that Winner VW is a great place to buy a car. I had an excellent experience and couldnt be more pleased with my purchase. Debbie, Rocky, and Brandon were all awesome and I would gladly buy from them again.
