Purchased a 1998 Mazda B4000 in January. Great running truck. Returned in June to by a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. The team at Colonial Motors is the absolute best Ive ever dealt with and goes above and beyond to make sure youre in a safe vehicle that meets your needs.

I will say that the purchasing experience was smooth but they don’t care about getting your tags to you once you’ve purchased the vehicle. We bought a truck on JUNE 26th and our temp tags expired AUGUST 24th. At the initial purchase, we were told tags would come in a week or 2. A few weeks go by, and still no tags. So my husband reaches out and they’re like “oh, we need the weight & vin number” first off, how do they not know the information for a vehicle they just sold us? Secondly, no one told us we needed to provide that in order for them to get our tags. We suspect they dropped the ball on filing the paperwork to get us the tags & used that as an excuse because that makes literally no sense to ask us for information on a vehicle THEY sold us. We gave them the weight & vin on 8/20 and now it’s SEPTEMBER with no tags on a truck we purchased in JUNE. We are aware the dmv is backed up but they failed to file for our tags initially causing a further delay. Absolutely unacceptable. ETA: After looking through our paperwork, I found a copy of the POA for them to get our tags & this proves they dropped the ball on getting our tags. No where on the form does it have the weight needed either, just make, model, & vin. Would have rather they just owned up to their mistake instead of pretending they needed information from us in order to complete the paperwork.

Colonial motors is your typical slim ball used car dealer. Called and asked about a truck and was told to summit a credit app. Later that afternoon JD called and told me the truck was in the shop for a knock sensor and AC issues and would call by the end of the week. Never called so I called the beginning of the week to check the status. Michelle told me the truck was sold after they ran my credit. She told me she would have the manager call me back. Minutes later Michelle calls back and tells me it had too many mechanical issues and was taken back to auction. Buyers be warned nothing but auction junk for double the price and unprofessional people that dont call back ESPECIALLY JD he doesnt even have the courage to talk to someone makes Michelle take the heat. For the record the credit check goes on your score as a hard inquiry and will drop your score in my case for no reason since I didnt get the truck. I wouldnt get a vehicle here if they gave them away.

Car i bought after 3 months of owning the battery alternator went out found alot of electrical wireing done wrong for after market things. Will not be buying another vehicle from here if they had it looked at thoroughly when they received it these issues wouldnt have happened and wouldnt have to spend thousands of dollars in repairs and be stranded in the cold with 3 kids

This dealer is buying reviews! Click on a lot of their contributors at their smyrna location and youll see that these are reviewers for hire. Contacted the FTC regarding false advertising. This practice is clearly a no no and states it right on the FTC website. They did it to cover up all the bad reviews they received. Unbelievable. Dont try and deceive the fine residents of Smyrna!
