Very helpful, friendly, (most important) knowledgeable staff. Everyone who works here is a seasoned musician with backgrounds in formal training as well as years of being on the stage. Wether youre a novice, intermediate, or veteran yourself. Wether your looking for new or used gear or accessories this is the place to be. A wide variety of stringed instruments, brass, percussion, keys, gig and recording equipment.

I didnt write anything but I should have.I bought my first amp there around 1983? And still have it and love it.I sold a guitar to them this week (a very oddball, rare, weird bass) and it was by far the easiest sale I have ever made to a music store. No lowballing or indecision, just straight up, simple and honest.I also have a soft spot because Brian would let me play all the guitars he knew I couldnt afford when I was a kid.Steve Anglin

In the middle of transforming a Cello to Bass tuning.I needed a bridge to alter the height of the strings. Their team was great at going through several boxes to find the exact one I needed!

Highly recommended. Run by musicians and technicians. Amazing know-how and high quality products. Best collection of PRS guitars Ive seen. I picked up a hidden gem, used Yamaha RBX170EW bass in perfect condition, set up perfectly. They carry G&L guitars and Ive seen some sweet Hagstrom guitars show up. Ear Craft has a massive showroom, and in my opinion one of the best independently owned music stores in the northeast. Andy is awesome, and cares about his customers.

I recently traded in my really nice guitar for some cash and a more modest entry level guitar thats more in line with my needs. The guys at ear craft were honest and fair with thier assessment of my guitar and thier offer.

They were friendly enough but when I was telling the guy at the counter that I wanted two setups done the way he talked to me he had talked as if I had no idea how a guitar worked or the physics behind the strings and in my head I was like Ive been doing this for 20 years why is this guy talking to me like Im some 12-year-old learning guitar for the first time which kind of hurts me a little bit and now Im at home and I just had my guitars there for a week they lost a slip from my second guitar that I had to set up done on and now Im home testing them out and Ive got the same fret buzz on my sixth string that I had before. Maybe Im confused about what a setup is entailing but Im pretty sure thats to put the size strings that you want on the guitar to make sure the action is at the right height and to adjust it so the intonation is correct and now my intonation is exactly as it was before and thats why I brought it in to have a setup in the first place is to fix the fretboards and the intonation. Im not going to take it back there either because it was a week to get it in the first place and then 20 minutes sitting in the store looking for some paperwork for it when I got a phone call on Wednesday saying it was done so two days after it was done I had to wait 25 minutes in the store just to find some paperwork. Im sorry but this is not an overall good experience in any way for me and now I still want to get a setup done which I could have done myself now that the weather is nice I can use my storage unit for a workbench but the reason I take it there is cuz I dont really have the time and the workspace and all the tools are in storage so I feel like Im debated out of the money I just paid to have a service done I could have changed the strings myself my dudes this is not impressive to me Im sorry.

When I was seven years old my parents singed me up for drum lessons at Earcraft music with Chris Thirston and I would not know what I would do without those lessons. I took them till I was 13 because of stuff and planning on going back and chorus is the best teacher/ Guy I have ever met and he knows how to play. I also the Guitar Teacher Scot Gelzinis and talk about randy roads 2.0 and he can shred. If you want lessons and good service go to earcraft.

Poor service and terrible prices. I have never had a good experience with this store.I went in to look at a guitar effects pedal that I wanted and noticed that it was $50 more than every other place I had ever seen it. When I asked why this was, a salesperson said that the company that made the pedal was upset that distributors were selling the pedals so cheap and were taking distributors off of their list of people to sell to, which makes literally no sense at all.I also brought in my amp once because it was breaking up at a very low volume. The salesperson said that it could be anything and told me Id have to pay to have an amp tech look at it. I suspected that the tubes were old (which was the case) so I asked what preamp tubes the salesperson recommended. He said that they were pretty much all the same (wrong). Tube type and brand vary greatly. I was going to purchase some Groove Tube preamp tubes but they were $10 more than pretty much anywhere else. The salespeople are not very friendly and really dont like when people play the gear. Overall, prices are bad and service is just as poor. Save yourself the time and money and go to somewhere like Guitar Center or Ralphs House of Tone where they know what theyre talking about and items are priced correctly.

Ear Craft are the the Local Guys youre glad to know. You can buy gear anywhere. Having someone talk you through the way something works is entirely different, and is worth the cost. Plus having an in-house repair guy is really quite grand.

Im a retail sales manager and I would NEVER treat a customer the way I was treated! Horrible service. NO communication between staff. Says one thing then does another! Manager is NOT personable. Overall, I walked out with a disassembled guitar that went in for repair ASSEMBELED. Would NOT recommend!

Not a great place. If you are looking to do business with them, Id look elsewhere. I tried to sell my back up bass guitar, and the offered me half of what guitar center did. So if you are wanted to sell used gear, go somewhere else. Also, if you are looking to buy used gear, id go somewhere else also, because you know they probably ripped off whoever they bought the item from. Even if its a good deal, dont perpetuate the problem. Its run more like a pawn shop than a music store, and in the long run probably hurts local musicians more than helps them.
