We have been customers of J.W. Pierson for quite a few years. They are reliable and knowledgeable. We have an old furnace and when we have had issues with oil leakage or breakdown they are quick to respond and go above and beyond to help.

I have been i loyal customer for almost 5 years. Last year was tough on everyone financially. So i admit i did fall behind on payments. So i call to pay my account, and my account has been sent to a lawyer!! And they are trying to charge me for service i never received last year and added for this year as well!! They didn’t even make any courtesy calls prior to sending! With the past year of pandemic this should not be allowed. Please stay away from this company!! They do not care about people at all!! I would give no stars if I could.

JW Pierson is an excellent community minded company. They have been my oil company for my family since 1968. They are professional, responsive and competitively priced. When I have had an issue with my boiler they came out to my home ASAP. I couldnt be happier with the great service I get from J.W. Pierson Co.I never have to worry about running out of fuel oil because they know just when to make a delivery so I never run low.Their service people are outstanding and show up quickly if I have any problems with my furnace which is very rare because they maintain my heating system very well.Lastly the folks at their customer service dept. are always a pleasure to speak to on the phone. All around J.W. Pierson Co. is number one in my book!

Pierson delivered very reliable service to old boiler but in 2018 I had their expertmeet me and look at my old 50 year old boiler and tell me the burner was still in good shape and I could get a few more years out of it. What a mistake to listen to him!!! My oil bill in 2019 was over $5,000 for on winter!!! Their regular delivery program is a great cash cow for Pierson.I switched to a gas boiler last September and my winter heating bill for the year 2019-2020 season was only $1,700.!!! Correct $1,700!! My advice to any oil furnace owners is DO NOT listen to any of their oil furnace experts who are obviously only looking out for their own financial gain. Run away from oil heat if possible and dont get burned like me!

Ive used J.W. Pierson Oil for over 30 years. I didnt have to search for a company because my grandparents used the company for their home until they passed away. The company is always timely and quick when delivering oil. Theres been times when I didnt know they delivered. When having my furnace which was old they tried really hard to help me keep it because it was old. They looked how and low and just couldnt get the part. They helped me get a new furnace and the plan worked out perfect. Lastly their priced cap program is a gem.

Pierson has delivered my oil and serviced my furnace for many years. They are reliable, dependable and very pleasant on the phone. The offer great service and a good product at a fair price!

The people that answer the phone are rude, lazy and act like you’re inconveniencing them and they’re doing you a huge favor. I’ve found only one person who is friendly, does her job, and actually cares to help you. Overall it’s a good company with good technicians and dependable service but they really need to fire some of those a$$holes that work in the office.

This review is for Julie. We had JW Pierson for many years until we converted to gas several years ago and my ac guy took over for convenience. Were selling our house and the town had issues with the conversion paperwork a week before closing. I really dont know who screwed up what and when, but when I called Julie in tears this week, she sprang into action, dug into the basement files, found ours, and put us on the path to resolution. We were able to resolve the problem with the town and are closing on schedule. All this for someone who has not been a customer in years and is moving out of state. It’s amazing mergers affect the company’s quality of customer service and value. Having an oil tank is the biggest regret buying a house and you can only top it off to make it worst is a company like this being inconsiderate in a customers situation. I called to follow up on why I haven’t received oil and of course it’s probably because of payment but I ALWAYS MAKE AT LEAST A $100 to $200 payment a month mind you I’m making a payment every other Friday . But because there’s a balance they refuse to deliver. I have a mortgage, two kids, and wife that I must support of course but the lady JUDY FROM CREDIT all she can say is “times have changed” it sure did when this was Hiltop they were GREAT 5 star service !!! But now the ignorance is on another level !!! Stay away look for someone else ... just as I will be doing !! Thank Goodness the winter is over because wouldn’t be smart to continue with this company. And trust me I am the last person that would be writing a REVIEW, I don’t have time !! I have to put in overtime with companies such as this one. Great job Judy

Our heat broke down last night, at approx 5 pm. I called JW for an emergency service call. They came within an hour which was amazing, because no one else wanted to come because it was past 5 pm.Upon arriving, Dillip the service tech, was so friendly and helpful. We showed him to the basement where he went to work on the furnace. Within minutes he could tell that the pump has been worn down and rusted.He replaced the pump and reset the system, flushed the lines, cleaned parts, replaced older switches and nobs all at no additional charge. He worked so clean, he worked so fast that our heat was up and running within an hour.Thank you Dillip for your expertise and knowledge!I would highly recommend this company for emergency service and other services for heating and cooling!

Fraud Fraud FraudTried to make us buy a new oil storage tank that was not necessary. Kept changing their story about what was wrong with it. Told us that they could get us a new upgraded more compact tank that wouldnt cost us anything. Wanted to scam the insurance company to pay for it.Then all of a sudden we had to kick in over a thousands dollars for our part of the replacement. All the while there was nothing wrong with our existing tank. Left a very bad taste. Look elsewhere for your home heating needs.

I’ve used Pierson Oil for 20+ years. Whenever I have had to call with an issue, an experienced serviceman arrived as quickly as possible and resolved the problem. Would never think of using anyone else!

On December 29, 2017 at 10:00 I ran out of heating oil. I called news years eve and they were able to get me a delivery. I called again because I couldnt get the furnace started. I was told all the techs were so busy helping others but the general manager himself said he would come to my house to try and help. He couldnt get it started but did make a few calls and after a few hours the tech came and got it started. I cant thank this general manager enough. Also the tech. I cant believe this manager came to help me. I am so appreciative. I wish him and the tech a very happy and healthy new year. J W Pierson should be proud of their employees and again my thanks for their help and a renewed faith in human kindness.

Boiler would not go on. Repair technician found that wire to thermostat was missing wire nut. He replaced it and furnace operated O.K.cd mulford

I had been using another oil company, whom I was very dissatisfied with, and decided to call JW Pierson. My parents used them for over 30 years, and were always very satisfied with their service. Like my parents, Ive been very impressed with how prompt and nice everyone is. My Service Tech, Carlos R., was fantastic and fixed the problem immediately. Also cleaned up the area where I was having an oil leak. Thank you very much!

We have been the Pierson Oil customer for 10 years and loyally paying all dues and bills. Unfortunately, our recent experience is not great. Our tank showed that we had half of it full when they refueled us. However, because of the air bubble, it was empty. Today (right in the middle of the freeze and snow storm) our heater stopped working. The technician came out and informed us that the oil would need to be delivered and it would be. Our house is freezing as a result of their negligence, with two small kids inside. Not only that, we called them again and they said we were not on the list and that they cannot even make a delivery. We are just in disbelief with this! Waiting to resolve still and hope the pipes will not freeze. Terrible!

Incompetent office staff caused us to run out of oil. Incompetent service staff caused a 15 year old furnace to need replacement. JW Pierson used to be a reliable company. What happened?

Lousy service. I have been a customer over 35 years and now I cant get someone to help me. I am having a problem with my pipes banging I called and got an emergency guy who couldnt look into it because I had heat and a lot of people didnt have heat. I was sympathetic until you havent slept in 3 weeks and you are constantly cleaning up water leaking from the radiators. Then the next week I try to make an appointment and gave them 2 days I would be available and to just call me, no body came. The next week a guy comes out an he couldnt fix it. I call back Pierson and ask what do I do, should I call my plumber. The girl puts me on hold and says yes call a plumber. The plumber comes and he wants to speak to someone from Pierson. The girl is nasty to him and to me, like Im bothering her. Really she shouldnt be in customer relations. The plumber wants to ask some questions about the boiler since Pierson was doing the maintenance on the heater. Im waiting since Thursday for a call from George. Is he on leave or he doesnt work there.????????
