This used to be my favorite place to shop, but they have totally gotten rid of the dressing rooms. They say to counter act this they give you a 14 day exchange policy. It is absolutely absurd. You cant guess size or fit on a lot of womens clothes. So if I am going for a pair of jeans maybe I would need to try on 10 pair to find one that fit. Under the new policy I would have to buy all 10 pairs, it might cost $100, if I keep one then I only have 14 days to use a $90 credit. Plus on top of that its a 25 minute drive from my house. Such a waste of time and gas Anyway I guess the point is I wont be shopping at savers anymore. Everything else considered its probably cheaper to shop at the consignment shops now especially since I can try the things on. I guess Ill have to donate elsewhere as well.
I live this place. It usually has a great selection. And the staff are always nice, polite, and helpful.
This place used to be great however, over that last year the prices have gotten completely out of hand. Yes, it’s clean. Yes, it has brands. But if you’re going to shop there make sure you bring your money and LOTS of it!! All of their shirts are $8 at minimum and go as high as $50 a piece!! All of the jeans are a minimum of $10 and go as high as $40 a piece!! Don’t even get me started on their shoes. DIRTY USED sneakers are all $10-15 and again, go up from there. To me this is ridiculous and downright offensive for USED CLOTHING!! I’ve thrifted all of my life and have never seen a thrift store steadily increase in GREED like this one has. Get over yourself Savers, your prices stink just like your $25 USED sneakers!
I have been a frequent shopper and donater at Savers for almost 10 years. I often refer others and enjoy the great buys I have acquired here. Today I have decided to make it last on my list. I brought a friend shopping here last Sunday for clothing for job interview. Savers has removed all dressing rooms so we just tried to guess on how things fit. Well, that was a disaster as not one piece of clothing fit her. I told her no problem, I would rerun the items and obtain a refund and take her somewhere that had dressing rooms. I was informed that they would not refund the amount to my debit card as is the typical way to refund. I asked to see a manager and after explaining the situation was told that was the policy and I must go and spend what is on the receipt that day. I replied I did not want to shop this day and I didnt need anything and with no dressing rooms I didnt want to attempt it. He then told me I could easily spend my reimbursement in housewares. What part of I dont want to shop today do they not understand? The manager further explained that clothing and shoes were accepted up to 14 days from purchase with tags and receipt and that the value of the exchange is to be credited to same day purchases.I feel these policies are very restrictive especially in the light of no ability to try on clothing. They would allow me to use credit later this week but I had to do so by Sunday, so I have 2 days to find something, anything, no pressure here! I will also point out that this is the only retail store in this area that requires masking upon entrance. I am very dssatisfied and will be taking my business elsewhere and will no longer be referring family and friends to this store.
This is my favorite thrift shop. It is clean and organized, and my kids love the selection of brand-name clothing. Definitely sign up for the rewards program, and bring a bag of items to donate for a 20% off coupon!
Always find the best shoes here! The prices are a bit high but now and then there is a good pair for $5. Definetely a fun place to spend an hour or two looking, because there WILL be something for you❤️
DRAMATIC PRICE INCREASES. Within the past year prices have raised to crazy prices targeting teenagers who go there for fun and vintage things rather then people who need the items for lower prices. SHOP AT GOODWILL. Men’s shoes were 1/3 the price they were a year ago compared to today. It’s all up to the managers to price things and this location has changed to nothing but greed to make that managers store more money. A bowl that would have been 4.99 at most was 9.99. Kids books are way over priced, at goodwill, they are a dollar. The managers are only pricing things for online value, not what people can afford to pay for USED items.
Great deals for the whole family! From furniture to all kitchen needs, small appliances, clothing, shoes, jewelry, swimwear, they have it all. Tuesdays Seniors get a thirty percent discount.
Good deals but so hastling people at the front door and let people try on stuff. Its a thrift store for crying out loud
I really want people to know that SAVERS themselves is NOT NON-PROFIT. If they were then they wouldn’t be able to charge a tax on your total. Savers also does not disclose who their nonprofit partner is. You don’t actually know if they’re actually working with a nonprofit partner or if they’re making it up. Please stop donating to these guys as you’re better off donating to companies who are actual nonprofits who benefit their community. Savers does none of these things. This company needs to show more transparency about their non-profits. Prices for a store that has items donated is very high. Take a Junie B Jones Paperback for example. At Goodwill you can buy one for $.25-$1 at most. Here you will pay $1.79+Tax for this one book. Very overly priced and NOT friendly staff the last time I came in there. Also very cluttered and the store half the time looks like trash.
Used to love this store. Since we cant try on clothes due to covid, the return policy should be either a store credit to be used at a later date or a refund. They dont always have what I want on the racks.
Great, clean thrift store. Prices vary on items based on conditions. Some prices are a steal while others it would be cheaper to buy the item new. Like all other thrift stores youve got to search for your deal. Currently you are not able to try items on and they offer 14 day exchange on some categories. Senior discount on Tuesday.
Clean, bright and friendly staff. Absolutely love that their clothing is sorted by size and not color like other local thrift stores.
I LOVE these stores. There are a few bargins to be found but you really have to look for them. Very well organized. Wish they would do a discount day or color or something. If you got the time check this place out. Great for home decor, books, housewares. They have a little of everything.
I love this store best thrift store in town.
Important to me at any store is the question, is it clean? The toilets in ladies room were filthy. Tops of the doors had two inches of dust and the air vent was covered with thick, gray, dirty lint. So thick that air was barely able to come out. The entire time in store I spent coughing and nose running and I wasnt the only one. Believe they could sorely use some clean filters on the air conditioning system.
Always find lots of good stuff! Reasonably priced.
Great Store, loved my first visit, will be back soon.
Great thrift store, large selection!
Better shopping before covid.but, still lots of clothes, shoes.
Best thrift store Ive ever been too. I found unbelievable bargains. This place is well organized, and clean. Plenty of things to choose from. Im up early now. So I can be one of the first people in line. Lol.
The Savers in Toledo is closed so it was nice to find one while we are out of town.
Nice staff. Clean and lots to choose from. Great prices too!
Great thrift store. Its easy to drop things off either when you walk in or via drive through. Great selection of clothes, with a little digging totally possible to find quality pieces, some new with tags. Only criticism is it isnt the cheapest thrift store, their prices definitely reflect what you buy. Hard to find clothing items under like $7 each, but you can find quality items if you spend the time. They do have their Savers club where you accumulate points and can get 20% off coupons and $5 off coupons.
Very organized. Knew what I wanted and had no problem finding it.Very friendly staff.Kudos
They are low on inventory but the is organized well.
Savers is one of our favorite stores (since they opened in Ellisville) from the youngest to the oldest family member. But, the prices have steadily gone up to where its almost not worth going. Thankful for the sale days. Those are the only days I shop. Also note, this store is the worst, and on the rude side about mask wearing.
I found what I was looking for, great place
No dressing rooms and over priced.
Always a great experience when we go. A good variety of items to choose from.
Huge store! Very clean and organized.
Didnt find what I was looking for but found a beautiful angel for my collectibles. Very pleased.
They moved everything around and got rid of a lot of stuff if youre just going for clothes then have at it but if youre looking for a temporary lamp or desk or literally anything else just go somewhere else
Whoevers running this store now is making a mess of things. These used donations are insanely marked up. Old used DVDs are $3.99...you can get brand new DVDs at Dollar Tree for $1! Bathrooms were disgusting, water everywhere. Used dingy clothes more expensive here than new stuff at Ross! Plus they even charge you now for the bag when checking out!
I absolutely LOVE Savers. Until today. I bought a Cricut for my daughter. Get it home and it is NOT USABLE at all.I go in to discuss the situation and the manager John just says—-“we won’t take that back. We won’t do any returns. It’s on every sign all over the store” I tried to discuss with him but he had zero interest in customer service.
Great finds on clothing, shoes and tons of other items. Love this store. I donate and buy from Savers.
Love to shop here great place
Not a big fan, but since it was my first time, it was cool...
My first time there. Very impressed
Enjoyed the store. There can be treasures, you just have to look for them
This store is organized. Unlike most second hand or thrift stores (goodwill or salvation army) their items are specific to size and type. If you are on a mission for an item you can go right to it and seek it out without a hassle. That is why Savers gets a 5 star rating from me. Easy of use and utility in this go-go world making my life easier is always a plus!
Priced pretty good, quality of items was as expected for a thrift type store, very well organized by gender and sizes which is a plus. Courteous staff. Good place.
The prices have really gone up iver the years, pretty soon theyll be up like Burlington, Marshalls, etc.
I love this place. Even if i dont find anything, its always clean and organized.
Not a huge fan of this place. Big store with lots to choose from but they are also pretty pricey on everthing
So much of my wardrobe comes from this place! Their selection is massive and always updating. Its good quality, too. I dont think I have ever left Savers empty-handed. They have a pretty large selection of books and decor and toys and a whole lot else besides clothes.
Disappointing visit to this location as Savers in other cities were always friendly. No one spoke to us even to just say Hi even with several mgr looking types in lime green polo shirts standing around talking. We walked by them several times & not once were we greeted, smiled at, nor acknowledged in any way. Something seems wrong when a company is closing locations (St Charles MO) & one of the two remaining locations in the STL area are not greeting their customers.Their pricing is inconsistent w/ discount brands priced the same as moderate to higher end apparel lines. Several shoes had dirt caked on the soles & over-priced ($29.99) for a used pair of sneakers! At checkout, if you want a bag to carry a purchase out....you have to now pay for one. An idea no doubt taken from Aldis. While eliminating plastic is great & commendable for the environment...it somehow seems off to charge a customer for a paper bag... as this is a FOR PROFIT thrift store company, you can bet that bag policy change is also about saving a large store expense to create more revenue (profit) for their bottom line. Overall, unfortunately, we were not impressed. At least have someone greet customers, or better yet... it only takes a second for a mgr to set a good example! And that does not cost a thing!
Very quiet today, Monday afternoon.
The store was fine. They have a mandatory made policy That They Dont Enforce. No thanks.
Always a fun place to find hidden treasures and good deals!
Today.. their reward system was off line. They should tell customers.thw situation before entering the store.
Savers was my first thrift shopping experience, and Im afraid theyve now ruined all other thrift stores for me since they are so great! The store was clean and well organized. I really appreciate that all of the clothes are organized by type and size. The prices are great! I found a shirt there that normally wouldve been around $30 for only $5. The staff is also very friendly, and its nice that they have on site changing rooms so that you can be sure clothes will fit before you buy anything. Ill definitely be going back on a regular basis.
Savers is so fun to explore! 95% of the time I find just what Im looking for. Happy staff are always helpful. Impressively clean merchandise and they dont overload the clothing racks which makes it a breeze to shop.
For a thrift store Savers is on the higher end in terms of prices. They have a wide range of clothing and electronics, but they charge a cheap as other thrift stores. They are not that expensive, but still considerably more than a place like goodwill. Nonetheless savers is a decent thrift store that you can go to if you’re looking for different clothes!
Anytime they get new workers they are great they are very nice and friendly however I dont know what they do to their employees but the ones that have worked there a long time are typically very rude.
I love this place so much! They always have everything so organized. Its so easy to find everything!
Im not even sure what the experience was like. I couldnt take my eyes off of all the amazing, wonderful junk. I love it!
Wonderful shopping and VERY friendly staff. Pharmacist will do anything to help you.
Great finds and the staff are friendly.
Love savers but you need to come often to get the deals
Store has great virus protections in place, good value, fairly clean, well lit. The missing star is your warning, if you go at opening time, youll find a long line of rude people awaits you.
Clean and well kept. Good selections and prices.
Much pricier than other resale shops but you usually can find some great clothing here. Plus they have amazing sales a few times a year.
Clerks are not friendly, prices have gone up way too much. Disappointed.
Nice and clean 2 bad 2 dont have a sale on sunday like red racks does 50 cents
I love this location. Very friendly and professional. There prices are comparable and nice for the quality that you get. This is one of their best locations for the variety of name brands and its clean.
Better than goodwill
My favorite place to shop. Great selection and prices. Friendly staff.
My favorite thrift shop.
Prices are high for donated furniture/sortaworks-electronics/used clothing
Really nice quality things at good prices. Prices have came up on some things lately. Over 55 gets 30% off on Tuesday. They have 50% percent off sales for most Holidays.Have free club cards and sales on different things quite often. Can find designer clothes and accessories a lot too. Open from 9 to 9 daily.
Tuey had so much stock
I love Savers! Please come back to St Charles!!! We really want you back!!
$10 for a 5ft HDMI cable is pretty crazy for a thrift shop. Might as well go to walmart or on amazon and get a brand new one for half the price.
Savers is consistently the most well-organized resale store Ive ever visited. Used books, toys, decorations, clothes...Its all easy to browse and sort through. Never dirty or chaotic.
Huge selection, great prices💚🖤🖤
The store was clean and well-organized but I thought the prices were high for a thrift store. I am from NJ where a popular chain store has better prices and the whole store is 50% off on all legal holidays.
All Savers are not created equal. As far as selection, this one is very good. As far as pricing, this one is very high. I do not frequent here because the prices are so high. I do enjoy their 50% off sales several times a year although they can be a little tricky and confusing since some of them do not include “activewear” which includes leggings, yoga pants and 50% of their clothing. My one talk with the male manager was less than friendly and really kept me away from the store for awhile. The place is clean and well organized. With a big family and buying for the homeless I’m the person that goes in and fills a cart and I can’t do that at Savers as I spend $200-250. I can do the same thing at other resale shops and be $60-80.
Have found some great stuff here. Some of it is a bit overpriced for a thrift store but some things are at a great price...so it kind of balances out. The other reason for loss of stars is the customer service and employees at the ellisville, mo location. I havent met a super welcoming staff member yet. Actually the service ive encountered has made me want to leave before buying anything quite a few times. Most employees are less than knowledgeable about how their store and prices work. No one bothers to greet you at the door even though there is usually a group of employees at the registers 5 feet away, except if you have a drink of ANY kind in your hand. THEN the drink police jump into action and make sure none of that bottled water contraband crosses the threshold of the sacred area. Its 110 degree heat index this week. Ill be damned if I cant bring a bottled water with a cap on it around with me. Somehow I walked around in Neiman Marcus a few days prior with frappaccino and was greated with a smile, no mention of frappacino. Guess the old adage is true...you get what you pay for...
Bettee selection than the smaller places we have here plus better quality stuff.
We love to shop at savers when were visiting from Texas! Never know what youll find!
Can be pricey secondhand clothes sometimes but try coming during a sale which is what I do. Sign up to receive the emails and youll receive an email when they have sales. Often I find clothes with the original price tag on also good quality.
Even got Veterans discount of 25 percent and that came to $1.25 off of a $3.00 picnic blanket! Service and quality and savings!
My cashier was so friendly and informed me of discounts and coupons. We love Savers.
Fairly good selection of products and reasonable prices, but the customer service has been awful. From unfriendly employees, to terrible decision making when it comes to keeping customers happy - not a place that I would recommend traveling to on a frequent basis. Pay a little more and shop where employees care.
They charged me higher than the list price and then proceeded to gaslight me. Right in front of a manager.
So much better than goodwill! Nice clothing, clean store, nice variety for almost any needs you may have!
Awesome resale shop, very well organized and good product turn over
Savers has a good rage of clothes at a low price. It my to go place when I am running low on cash.
Always clean but seems pretty pricey for a thrift store.
Always find something I like!
Enjoyed shopping with my 9 yr granddaughter. She found some real bargains
Great store and very organized for a thrift store and has good prices
Standard Savers thrift. Decent prices, good selection of clean items. Always worth a stop.
One of the best resale shops around. Great place to find name brands for dirt cheap.
Friendly staff in a super organized store. Restrooms and fitting rooms on site.
This time horrible they are liars. And manager JOHN was a jerk. I could not believe how I was lied to and treated. Sorry, but the truth
