This is Avery busy Home Depot, but it is large and has a good selection for all your needs. Some staff can be busy but there are helpful ones and they are knowledgeable as well. I would visit again. Parking was also ample and people were taking precautions with regards to the pandemic. Overall, a good experience

I worked at this home depot in my youth. The culture is great 👍However, seldom you find a Home Depot these days where the service is excellent. This one is not the exception. Still, there is no place like it.I judge a The Home Depot differently then I do other stores.1. Are the aisles clear without hazard 🤔- This one is a 5/52. Are they in-stock of the most common/basic things one would need a home depot for, thereby not a waste of a trip.- 4/5 (lately - covid - production 🚢)3. Are the lines long to check out most times?- 4/5, five to ten minus max: not worth a concern.4. Help finding things.- With the Home Depot app, this is less of a concern. It will guide you directly to your item, even when most associates do not know. The app also scans for prices and do a few other things.Soo, 4/5 ✔

Excellent place to shop home goods of all sorts. They have a beautiful array of gardening tools, pots, plants, flowers, etc. . Im mesmerized each time I visit the garden center. I dont mind waiting on line taking it all in.

Outside workers are extremely helpful. Television Boxes are pricey but plentiful. Moving companies require them. $45. Ex-large 50 tv, $35 large boxes 32 tv. The other packing boxes were price reasonable.

I was there last night looking for refrigerators. I liked a couple. Home Depot has what youre need when it comes to home products. I once rebuilt a house and I got all my materials from this Home Depot. Id love anither house in the area to remodel. If youre selling let me know.

Home Depot needs to focus on restocking shelves many items will high up into the rafters dont know why dont restock the shelf the night before you go there bright and early shelves are still empty and 10 to 15% of the merchandise for restocking its still up in the shelves and rafters when you do get an employee its almost like a huffy attitude cuz they got to go pull a ladder to bring down that one box thats been up there for two days with an empty shelf I remember the old days whenever aisle with staff when what I would call an owl specialist those days seem to be gone when home Depot first opened many years ago they used to brag they would hire retired professionals or trades men and women in that field that one knowledgeable in that product or item those days are definitely gone most of the staff are on their iPhones are looking at their watches the main problem is bringing down items that are up in the high rafters and filling the shelves how many times I would see a new item and say let me try that since they all sold out or what I was looking for cant do that because even that new item hasnt been restocked and its sitting up five shells up in the rafters that nobody brought down for two or three days why home Depot does not hire secret shop is to survey the store and see where theyre falling behind

The Home Depot in Valley Stream had exactly what I needed. The information online was accurate in terms of quantity of the item I was looking for. The only issue was their was just one cashier. The line was long and with only two self checkout registered that was working.

Trying to get 10 boards of Sheetrock no body want to help no employees on the aisle

This Home Depot is one of the better ones locally. They keep it pretty well Stocked. Some areas a bit messy.

Horrible customer service. In fact this PARTICULAR day, I was helped by a woman named Sterling. She was awfully dismissive and took quite a while. There was a manager at the desk who was concerned about how long I was waiting in line and HE was a breath of fresh air. But the crew was EXTREMELY underwhelming. Please get it together guys.

I fund many employees at home depot to be very short temper and not helpful. The human resource office and management has to train the employees to be courteous to customers. The hardware and plumbing department employees were very rude when I asked them questions on where to find items. If I can order everything online and dont have to come into your store, it would be a blessing.

I used the curbside pickup as well as in store shopping. They usually have the items Im looking for. Most of the workers are helpful, courteous and professional.

I love ebony!! She is amazing. Ebony is definitely an asset to home depot. Always quick and reliable. She also puts a smile on my face, very professional and always gets the job done.

If you know what your getting 👍🏿. If you dont good luck finding someone knowledgeable that can point you in the right direction but thats a typical Home depot issue. Overall It was a pleasant experience. Lines were not super long and staff was friendly. Id go there again compared to others in the area

The stores Customer Service Representative are better trained and are knowledgeable about their stock.

They had what I needed when other nearby Depots did not. I was happy. Store is large and set up somewhat differently than most in LI. But it was fine.

Some employees are helpful and some are not so helpful. I hate going to home depot bcuz its hard dealing with the not so helpful employees. The prices are outrageous.

Good luck finding an employee to help in there.. dont get me wrong, their selection of goods is very decent and when you finally do find one employee to help, theyre usually very nice, but there arent enough of them..

I have to say that there must be new employees at this home depot location because I got Excellent service from garden section from Amber, eventhought she is new and great help from Daniel who went out of his way to help pack my mini van with my mini trees and flowers. There was another gentleman but didnt get his name. He also was helpful with answering questions about the type of plant I was purchasing. I was very impressed and Will continue to do business there.

Normally...a home depot is a home depot.Elmont is a little different. Well...actually a lot different.They cater to a lot of pro customers...which does not include me...and the customer service level is much higher.I needed some heavy duty bins and they were on the top shelf. So five minutes later a forklift came by to get me what I needed. The lady at customer service (the one with a ll the pens...I did not catch her name was very pleasant andvthe crew even helped to load my pickup truck.Elmont Home Depot is much better than the other surrounding stores.Well done Elmont Home Depot!!You serve your customers well.

Place sucks in service not the first time, location is convenient, was trying to buy a lawn mower I seen 3 workers in that dept when I tried to get there attention they acted like they didnt hear me and walked away, workers in that dept need more customer training, dont think Ill be coming to this location anymore 👎

Bought few pieces of blinds from this store on 04/25 and the flooring department associate Kiran placed a special order for the piece that was not available at the store in that week. I suppose to be receiving the product by first week of May and now it’s end of July. Even after several trip to the store, this issue has not been resolved. The store manager Amrit doesn’t even know what has happened to this order and why I’m not even getting a refund back.The last time in Beginning of July when I went to the store the 4th times to check on this and asking for refund, I was told that I will be contacted with a day or two to resolve the matter. I never received any calls from the store! It is not about one product misplacing but it is more of how this store manager and associates are handling orders, providing customer service and maintaining professionalism! I have been to many home depot but this is the most I professional service I have ever encountered. A manager who does not know how to resolve customer issues, should not be leading staff.Be aware of their lack of knowledge and competence to perform the job when you are relying on them for placing order on behalf of you.

This Elmont location is much larger than most.Neighborhood sucks, so watch your back in the lot, but they have a bigger selection than most other Home Depot locations.

Very disorganized. Poor customer service. I ordered a storm door and paid for delivery. The storm door arrived three weeks ago to home depot, according to the order status online. I call the Elmont store, they claim they dont have it. Mysteriously last week a lady from the store calls me and asks me if I still want the storm door. I say ofcourse but I paid for delivery. She says they will deliver it on Monday. Monday comes and goes, no door. I call the store, they claim they dont have the door. I visit the store and insist they have the door. Finally, a second person looks and finds the door, which has been at home depot for three weeks undelivered. I take the door home and they refund the delivery fee. Terrible store and customer service.

I live a half a mile from this store and only go there if its necessary. More often I find the items I need are out of stock, the floors have items laying around and its almost impossible to find a sales person.

This location is the worst no assistance in store . the store lokks like a bunch of kids work in it. The products are all over the place . I work in the construction feild for 17yrs and have worked thousands of homes in and around NYC from roofing to farming, plumbing to painting, from drywall to decks, and with all that could not find a simple outlet cover

Place to find almost everything for home repairs. One problem lady at check out must be mindful of how she question Oops. The computer was uptodaye and she tried damage control. Her effort to change direction was flimsy.

I am at home depot as im texting. Went to buy 3 storm doors for my home. There was no one to help so I went to find someone to help, found a supervisor asked for help and I had to walk out the store because its been an hour and no help. I went back and forth to the supervisor so I could get some help and to no avail.The store manager is to be blamed for a customer walking out the store. Im so upset about this. I went to the home depot in valley stream. I really wanted to give them no star because I think they dont deserve it.

Im doing a home improvement project, and home depot prepared and delivered everything I asked for. Even got the floors early. Went to the store and engaged in the Curbside Pick-up and spent less that 10 minutes there. Nevel came out to help and made the transaction a breeze. Had a good experience there, and also usually when I go into the store.

It needs more people to help customers and most needed customer service education

Apparently there is a new policy that even if you return an unused item but do not have receipt they simply turn you away if you cannot produce receipt. This happened to me and I thought I used cc but it did not appear. Their plants are sometimes on the edge of death but according to another policy they cannot reduce price because of vendor. Loews is looking more and more customer friendly.

Are you a newbie looking to buy some paint in the confusing world of hardware and millions of selection. Worry not. I went in with full confidence and I was stuck in the first 2 minutes. I went to the paint mixing counter. Watch out for the wonderful little older lady who calls you Dear and Honey. She is the best! Helped me through all the steps of buying paint and explained everything. Such a warm experience. Will buy more paint if I had more wallsThank you for the kindness. Its getting rare.

I couldnt find an item which they had 9 in stock according to their website. I went to customer service and the guy with the dyed blond hair gave me an attitude and was not helpful at all.

Went to 3 Home Depot for bedroom carpet. First place machine was broken that cut carpet. The next 2 no one could be found to help me. Went to Lowes got what I needed in less than 2 mins.

Big store! Big parking lot! Fully stocked on cleaning supplies, toilet rolls and paper towels and ice melt.

We got all the materials which we wanted.Employees are very co operative. We are shopping at this location for more than 15 years.

I come here all the time. But today we had a bad experience. Their ceiling fixtures are not inspected. One of the ceiling light fixture by the pro section almost fell onto my cousins head. I screamed watch out and he moved to the right. It scraped his left arm a bit but hes fine. If he didnt move it would smash his head. I mean its the entire lighting fixture that fell. If he didnt move, there would be a serious lawsuit against home depot. If youre the manager for this location, please inspect the ceiling fixtures on a yearly basis. Seriously!!

The place does not have proper customer support. Most of the people I asked for help are saying to ask someone else and are very lazy. I will not be appearing at this Home Depot and nor should you. You’re better off shopping at a hardware store where the workers know where the items are available.
