These guys are awesome!! I’m a professional singer and needed to get in-ear impressions/molds for my custom in-ear monitors. I had called a handful of places that either did not respond back to me or quoted me a ridiculous amount. I was so shocked when another office quoted me $260…YIKES!!! Fast forward to when I called North Coast Audiology, Jan their receptionist was so so sweet and even had the doctor get on the phone to answer my questions on cash pricing since I do not have insurance, then she was able to schedule an appointment for me on the same day! Dr. Matt was so perfect at explaining the whole process, what to expect and all the steps that he was taking to get the best impressions possible. One of my ears required a light cleaning, which at the last place I asked was an extra $50 charge on top of the $260 for impressions. Ended up spending only $50 total at North Coast Audiology for everything!!! Save yourself the trouble of going somewhere that’s going to overcharge you and go to North Coast Audiology instead!! Jan and Dr. Matt are the sweetest and most wonderful professionals!!!
Best place for hearing devices when you want to feel like a person and not just a number. Solution-driven results with professional service. You leave the office feeling more than satisfied with devices that fit and are comfortable.
Great audiologist! Always quick to get you an appt if needed. He also made the purchase process quick and easy. 10/10.
I have been a patient of North Coast Audiology a little over a year. When my hearing loss and tinnitus got so bad it was interfering with my relationships and business life, I went to NCA. They treated me with respect and dignity. Matt is a caring health care professional and his expertise guided me to the best devices for my individual hearing loss. Getting accustomed to the devices was a step-wise process in which he facilitated my accommodation to hearing with aid. Just here lately, one of my devices stopped working. I was able to come right in and he sent off the devices for replacement. Not only were they replaced but I got an upgrade, which has been so great! The Administrative Assistant provides wonderful customer service, and I now see NCA as my hearing home!
Really couldnt say enough positive things about NCA! My father is blind & has significant hearing issues. Matt is super attentive & takes time to teach my dad how to best use his hearing aids. No detail is too small. No corporate quota nonsense. Everything is specifically tailored to your needs. Plus, Matt & his staff happen to be very friendly. Cant go wrong here.
Absolutely excellent service that goes above and beyond. Matt and the staff are friendly and professional. Go here and youll be in good hands.
I was not happy with the results I was getting from my 3 year old hearing aids. I found North North Coast Audiology and made an appointment. When I arrived Jan, his receptionist, made me feel very welcomed. I met Matt and explained the difficulties I was having with my hearing aids and general hearing issues. He did a hearing test and recommended new hearing aids that he felt would suit my lifestyle and help solve some of my complaints. I went back to his office a number of times at the beginning and Matt listened closely to my comments and made adjustments that helped fine-tune things.Prior to ordering my new hearing aids Matt recommended custom ear molds. I wasn’t sure I wanted to do that but decided to give it a try. It was definitely the right thing to do. Even though they added a little cost they have made the whole experience better. Also, the molds have made the hearing aids so comfortable I can wear them all day and sometimes almost forget to remove them at night.Matt told me that hearing aids would never give me the hearing I had when I was younger. But I think with his help and the new hearing aids I’m getting the best results I can.I’m so happy I found this place. Matt and his staff, Jan and Heather, are wonderful.
I cant say enough nice things about this office. From the moment you call for an appointment, Jan always makes you feel so welcome and she makes sure you are seen in a timely fashion. The newly remodeled office is beautifully decorated. I take my 93 year old dad to see Matt, who is always able to solve my dads issues and explain them in a way that is easy to understand. Matt is very professional and knowledgeable about all the latest technology and will be happy to discuss it with you, but never pushes it on you, which is very refreshing.

This is the best Audiology Group in San Diego County! Matt Nesbett is an excellent, Audiologist and concerned about his patients. He is extremely confident and knowledgeable, trained and educated by the best! Jan is his Office Manager, and no matter how many years go by, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years, she recognizes my voice and remembers your first and last name!! Professional and personable!!!
I was very nervous about getting a hearing aid as I thought it would be very noticeable. When I met Matt, he was extremely professional and accommodating. He took a lot of time with me, and I got fitted for a new hearing device. I didnt notice how bad my hearing loss was. I was a musician for over 15 years, and the loud volume and feedback severely damaged my hearing. Matts customer services in unmatched, you dont have to wait months to get scheduled for a follow up its usually the same day or the next day. Matt, you are amazing and thank you for changing my life! I can hear music now like I used to! Oh yea TV as well. PS: no one can tell I am wearing them, go see him it will change everything!
For some reason the words “darkness visible,” which is a phrase Milton uses to describe hell in Paradise Lost, were floating around in my mind in reference to my own hearing loss. Little things finally forced me to “see” my larger problem: my wife poking me at the movies because my watch alarm was beeping; whole swaths of family conversation around the table – gone; tired of asking, “Did you say…?” or “It sounded like you said...” Even LA Phil concerts in glorious Disney Hall were sounding dull on the high end. I finally couldn’t deny the symptoms but the thought of hearing aids really bothered me. Uncle Frank, who had two giant, wired contraptions sticking out of his ears, was the scariest person I remember from childhood. Of course he was also blind which I’m sure added another layer of scariness. The old golfers I play with all have hearing aids, it seems, and they still cant hear. And the expense! Luckily I did my research, and luckily I also live in Encinitas. I found Matt and Jan and the whole experience of fitting the hearing aids, getting used to them, and now living with them was both positive and uplifting. They work! This is a world rich in sounds, and I feel engaged in that world again. I think it was after my third visit I noticed for the first time a heartening sound in their office – like a gurgling brook in the forest. It was their little water fountain sculpture. Listen. Hear what you’ve been missing!
This is the best Audiology office in all of San Diego County. Every time I need tubing, adjustments or have any issues with my hearing aids I go here and always come out happy and best of all..hearing better! Dr Nesbitt truly cares about my hearing. Thank you Dr Matt Nesbitt, Jan and Heather! such an awesome place!
I love my new hearing aids and especially the care that the staff gives me each time I come into the office. I was really unsure about needing hearing aids, although my family regularly told me they thought I need to get checked. Im so happy that I went and saw Matt and Jan! I never realized how much I was missing from conversations and how loud my TV really was turned up before having my aids. I cant imagine living without them, and the staff has been amazing every step up the way. I know I can count on them to be patient with all my questions and re-go over anything I need.
I cant recommend this business highly enough!I have been going to concerts on the reg for 30+ years. After Billy Joel at PetCo (of all shows) my ears started to ring and I decided it was time to do get some earplugs. I did some research and asked around and decided to go to North Coast Audiology. I called and spoke with Jan - she was extremely helpful and so pleasant. I then met with Dr. Nesbitt who subsequently suggested what I should do and fitted me with custom musician earplugs. I have used them for about a dozen concerts since then and they are incredible!!! I wish I had gotten them sooner. I couldnt be happier with the product and service provided by North Coast Audiology. I have told everyone I know they should get custom fitted musician earplugs AND they should get them at North Coast Audiology. Thanks Jan and Matt!
I have been seeing Matt and staff for years. Always warm, generous and professional.
Too my father-in-law here. Top notch. They figured out a problem that the their TX based hearing aid specialist had not been able to solve.
I recently had an appointment at North Coast Audiology in Encinitas, as I had a “tune-up” on my hearing aids. Audiologist Matt Nesbitt ensured everything on my hearing aids was up to date and working properly. He takes the time every three or so months to check the aids and to fix anything that may be wrong. Patience is Matt’s middle name. He takes his time to understand everyone’s problem and takes steps to correct them. He deals with a different generation and does it well. His office staff, Jan and Heather, is always smiling and extremely helpful.I will continue to seek Matt’s expertise when I have a problem.Bill SimsEncinitas, CA.
You can not ask for a more personal and professional experience than you will have with Dr. Matthew Nesbitt and his assistant Jan Walker. Hearing loss is a very personal problem. Dr. Nesbitt was very patient in listening to exactly what my problem was an what my needs were. The follow up appointments for the fine tuning to get exactly what I wanted were timely and excellent. I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed. Dr. Jerry Caulder
