I took my car into Muffler & Cat Depot to get the alignment done, the guys there told me my car needed work done before the alignment could be done, that there were broken control arms that needed to be replaced totally $800. I felt like I needed to have my honest mechanic look at it first which he did and informed me that what I was told was lies. That this shop was trying to take us for more money because the control arms were fine. I just needed two new tires. I believe my mechanic cause he has the opportunity to fix what was wrong and get paid but there was nothing to be fixed so he didnt make any money off of this nor does he do alignment so he isnt trying to take business for himself. This company Muffler & Cat Depot saw a woman and tried to take advantage of me and con me out of more money. I will not do business with liars and thieves. Be aware of this company

Muffler And Cat Depot installed a new MagnaFlow axle back exhaust on my Whipple supercharged Mustang GT. These guys went above and beyond by also fixing some problems I had with my mid-pipes, without increasing their original quote. They also did some custom fabrication some connectors for me.When my car was ready, they stayed open late when I got off work so I could pick it up. These guys are super professional and very friendly. Would recommend them to anyone!

I also had my harmonic balancer and serpentine belt done there and they gave me a fair price and they get the work done usually quicker than what they say. I don’t feel like I’m being taken advantage of there as I have with other mechanics. The man who runs it even looked up the part I needed to try to get it cheaper than what he quoted me for my a/c. I would definitely refer people to them

I flew in from Ohio to help my Mom. Her 96 yr old boyfriend was in hospital. I needed to get starter replaced on his car and her car serviced. Michael was very helpful and took care of car that day! These folks are the best! went in for a muffler upgrade on my jeep and they had a few recommendations which I did not go with but they gave me what I wanted despite warnings it might be too loud for my taste!Well a week later I just couldnt take the noise any more and returned to have them change out the muffler and they gladly did with out making my feel stupid for my original choice and replaced it at no cost!!! such great service and I highly recommend!

You could not ask for better customer service. They were incredibly responsive and I would highly recommend using them for any of your exhaust needs. Ive used dozens of shops in Northern CA over my 20 years of car customization and the responsiveness, quality, and care that they put into the job is as the top! I had an appointment time of 8.30 they were ready as soon as I got there. Its my first time coming here. Had an oil change and tire rotation done. They also checked all my fluids my air in tires and got me in and out without the long wait. Bringing my daughters car next week. Would highly recommend!

The only place anyone should be going to! The whole staff is amazing and never have I ever experienced such great customer service. My car was having trouble pass smog to get my registration then when it finally did thanks to their amazing help, I was having trouble getting my registration. Thanks To Christina, the incredible woman at the front desk, she cleared everything up and I didnt even have to go the DMV and she even offered to go to the DMV for me if she couldnt help in the shop! I was even sad that everything on my car is good because I wouldnt have to return until my next oil change and had really come around to enjoy talking to her, Mike, and the others. Top 3 in customer service that I have ever experienced from any business auto, restaurant, hotel, you name it.

Came in as a walk-in and upgraded my exhaust for me and got it done in few hours would recommend checking them out.

My back brakes were making a funny noise and I was going on a trip soon so I wanted to get them checked out before then. It is hard to bring my car in during the week because I work full time so Saturday was my only option. I called and asked if they could look at my car and they said they could see me that day! Although they closed soon, Michael, was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. He let me know I needed brake pads replaced and replaced them that day in under 45 minutes. He and his mechanics even stayed over a little after closing just to accommodate me. They were extremely helpful and friendly and I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs any type of car maintenance. I will be bringing my car back here for when I need my front break pads replaced in the future.

I initially gave this place a 5 star review for the work I had done, which was extensive, I based most of my review on the employees helpful attitudes, but wasnt satisfied completely with the work but figured they would correct it if I made the issue known to Mike, which I did when I took my nephews Corvette in and Mike told me hed be happy to correct the problem and even explained what he would do. Since that time, I also had my brother take his car in for work, and have yet another vehicle that needs work. I finally got my car back to them yesterday, I dropped it off at 9 a.m., and not having received a call back by nearly 5, I called them and was told the car had been ready to go. The way it was parked made it difficult to see if theyd done the work, the only obvious thing that showed was the chrome tip was up higher which led me to believe it was done. When I got it home, we realized they hadnt done anything but pull the tip up to make it appear corrected. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and had told them Id be taking more work in but I feel like I got played here after bringing them nearly a grand in work. I would suggest you get other estimates from other reputable places in town, and make sure you read reviews so youll know what to watch for. I wanted to like this place in the end, Christina (who runs the office) is very cool and friendly, but it appears that the quality of work going on is pretty bad, and deception was the answer.

This place is pretty Janky. They say they honor the Groupon price, but they dont know what the price is. Everyone gives different quotes, the girl in front dont know anything. I was charged for the front wheel which didnt need an alignment.. and they wanted to charge me again the same price to do the rear wheel which was the one that needed an alignment. Not to mention the price they charge for two wheel is 10 dollars cheaper than other places that did 4 wheel alignments. Youre welcome for thr 49 dollars and this review. Will not be returning or recommending anyone else. Check out the before and after in this picture. This is their level of work.

Visited Muffler & Cat on Monday, March 1st, 10:30am. I did not made appointment but Mike took care of me right away. I bought oil change over at Groupon. Mike is very informative and knowledgeable. Mike informed me that my car required synthetic oil change. My previous oil change shops did not mentioned anything like that. I am glad that I visited Muffler & Cat. Now, I know requirements for my vehicle. The service was great and fast. I will visit for all the other car needs.

First time they did work on the car they messed up the exhaust and the guy said bring it some other time I did two times appointment and he said bring it some other time and then I made an appointment again and the guy he was charging me a lot of money because he didn’t wanna do it because he already Messed it up I had to take it somewhere else because he didn’t want to finish the job

Bought a Groupon and as usual with an oil change, I expected an upsell of, You need more or different oil than your Groupon offers. Or, This only provides the very cheapest of oil filters. Nope! None of that! I was in and out in thirty minutes, no trying to sell me anything, just polite, honest service! What a relief! Now I am thinking I might have to find out what else they do there!

Michael identified what was needed for the car brakes and replaced them promptly. Very friendly and I think they did a great job. Getting 1 year warranty on brakes is something that not many other places do with Groupon so it’s even better.

I got help here to swap out the resonator on my car with an X pipe, really really good work, the car sounds great now and they did a great job!!

These guys put a huge dent in my front bumper. Did not apologize and instead put the blame on me for having bad brakes. I had dropped the car off to get the brakes done. If the brakes were THAT BAD to have crashed the car into something they should have done a safety check before driving it. DO NOT GO HERE.
