Took my deposit but never did the work. I have called them to inquire about when the work will be done and told would be called back. Still haven’t heard from them. Would definitely stay away from this company!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They took my deposit in April of 2021 and never did the work. Every time I called John Weglarz will give me the run around. They never intended to do the work. They are very unprofessional
They were great, installed a fence quickly and it has lasted for a long time. Were using them for a second time now as we need to add more fencing for our dog who is become an escape artist :) highly recommend!!
Buyer Beware. Wayside was so shady. They took my deposit and would never, ever schedule installation. What a run around. Always an excuse. I would call weekly and they would push it off for another week. When I finally realized they had no intention of installing the fence, I called American Express and got my deposit back. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I wish there was an option of no stars. They do not deserve even the one. Booked in early September for the second time and they kept putting me off. Beginning of January I had enough. I cancelled. I should have done it sooner.SHAME on you. Better get your act together, you just may be out of work soon.My new fence looks great. No thanks to you.

Have used Wayside Fence twice in the past and they were great. This time to repair my fence they were terrible. Gave deposit in November and told job would be completed after Thanksgiving.Since then have made calls and were given various excuses I.e. weather, needed to pick up part, and coming Friday.Finally in January cancelled. Not sure if there was a change of ownership or what. But service is not there.

Wayside Fence Company took a $5,000 deposit from me in September 2018 and never delivered the fence I ordered. I attempted to contact the company repeatedly for months afterwards but they kept stalling me by claiming that the fence was on back order. Fortunately, I used my credit card to pay for the deposit so after months of getting the run-around, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. The credit card company took several additional months to conduct an investigation but in late 2019 the charge was ultimately reversed. I advise anyone who has given this company their credit card information to dispute the charge made by this company.
Buyer beware. We contracted Wayside fence and paid our 50% deposit. We had promises the supplies would be ordered and work would begin/be scheduled in 6-8 weeks. After repeated follow ups, continued excuses about why there were delays (3 months from time of deposit) we cancelled our order. They promised a refund, but only gave us a partial payment, promised us a second installment, never showed up and stopped returning emails.The company does not seem to have its act together and signs contracts with folks without the material or labor in line to be able to fulfill their end of the contract. They are terrible at following up and their promises to contact me back with an update were constantly broken.We filed a complaint with the BBB. Take heed before contracting with this business.
Cant really give an assessment at this time. Made a initial down payment mid November, was told it would be about 6 weeks lead time I have been trying to get a hold of someone to see when we would on their schedule since Jan 6. Still waiting for a call back.As an update (2/17/2020) still no word as to when they will do the job. I spoke with someone 3 weeks ago and was told I would hear in 2 week. Left another message again today.

One of the best recommendations Ive ever received, Wayside Fence accommodated my tough schedule, spoke to me several times to make sure we got everything right (never even met people from the office in person), and did a beautiful job! IF YOU WANT A JOB WELL DONE OR NEED EXTRA CARE, THIS IS THE COMPANY TO GO WITH! Thank you for everything.
Took 50% deposit in June, got verbal confirmation that fence would be repaired by July16. No follow-up calls from them. Numerous calls from me, with response of let me check the stock and get back to you only to never call back. Unable to utilize pool all summer because fence pannels were missing after a tree fell across my property. When I requested my money back so I could go elsewhere, John offered $100 off the price of repair. When work was completed in November, I was invoiced for full amount.

I gave a 50% deposit on May 5th of last year and have yet to have my work scheduled or completed
7/20/16. I had damaged fence work completed today & I am very happy with the quality of the work, the price, the timeliness of the project, & the professionalism of everyone involved. From the first phone call, to billing, to the scheduler, & to the installers I was treated with respect. I priced with 4 companies. Two showed, 2 didnt. I had time constraints put on me by the town (fence was damaged by a drunk driver & Aflac took a long time to pay) & though Waysides schedule was busy they came & did the tear down so I wouldnt have any fines.The fence was originally put up by Wayside in 2000 and has withstood four boys and friends. Back then I priced several companies and they were the best price with excellent service and they have not changed. A+ service.
We had our fence installed November 2014. Since then, we have had so many problems! When installed, the post was set crooked for gate. They came and fixed it... filling our gutter downspout with concrete, which now floods our driveway. They denied they did this... Post had to be fixed again, now we have a cracked concrete path. Gate repeatedly not working, opens on its own, locks us in back yard! Right before holidays my 7 year old walked through the gate and a spring flew out the hinge! It narrowly missed his face! So dangerous! I called and was told they would fix it asap. Still waiting, cannot get anyone on the phone. As a small business owner, I try to shop local whenI can and am sorry that I did in this case. SO VERY disappointed in this company.
Had salesman come first week of December and said fence would be installed in 4-6 weeks...fence being installed 12 weeks later! I had to call every week and then threaten to cancel job. Would NOT recommend!!
Same experience as others that have posted reviews. I got a quote to repair a small part of my fence and paid 50% deposit in mid July. Its now late October and still no fence. This company is very unprofessional and just keeps giving the run around. Unless you have no urgency to get a fence installed, stay away from this company.
Buyer beware. I have the same story as many others -took deposit and now SIX MONTHS later and many phone calls and promises STILL NO FENCE! Maybe small claims court and I can get my money back?
Company started on May 11th with the posts and planned to return in 3 days. I called after 7 days (no fence)--told that it will be rescheduled in 2-3 days (No explanation given.) Staff is cordial but you have to follow them. p.s. two posts have to be reset when the fence is stretched -corners look like arrow-heads. :( oh, well. ):Update: In waiting for the fence (day 14,) I bent a corner post and now I am back on the TBD list. I saw a review that suggested Emerson and I know that after this experience I will be contacting Emerson Fence before Wayside. Good luck to anyone dealing with Wayside.
Damaged my house told me i was lying. Fence fell over after a few mounths was told to call my ins company. Had much better experence with Emerson Fence.
Very disappointed in customer service. fence was put in 1 1/2 years ago, latch broke called them and was told they only had one person for repairs and I would go on a waiting list. 5 days later still no one called or came have cancelled the service call. got someone else to make the repair love the fence, but follow up is a horror.
Have been waiting since June 13 for wayside to fix my fence. Took deposit and then nothing.
The quality of my cedar fence was not what I expected for the price that we paid for;we compare whith the old one,[cheap one] and there is not defective [to many holes] as your cedar panels;whit the award that your company present,will be fair to offer for less price the one that we got.
They dont have an answering machine and they are not very responsive on delivery of any communication.
