Coffee was too strong I didnt really care for the food very nice atmosphere and the staff was wonderful but my taste for the food was not there. The portions of the food was well worth the money maybe I need to go back and try something different I was there for breakfast.

So I gave the diner a try, specially for breakfast on Father’s Day. I appreciate the fact that some of the staff apologized for the delay in getting our order, obviously it was busy. Coffee was good, had a regular American and an ice latte (free refills). The GOOD—> home fries were tasty, bacon was crispy (as requested), sausage was good. What could be improved—>French fries were not crispy, serving size was extremely small, Nutella French toast and regular French toast could be fluffier, (better challah bread???), stuff French toast instead of layering Nutella?? I will definitely give it another try and try additional items in menu to comment further but they did have a large menu to choose from.
Best diner food around!!! Came here for the first time. Had The Cattleman. Its basically like a French dip. Wow!! Best Ive had in a long time. The roast beef was so tender I barely needed to chew. The au jus was great. Service was amazing. Friendly, attentive and so nice and accommodating! Even being really busy. Very clean and love the interior! Definitely going back!

Didn’t see anyone with a mask but one server. Food is alright for the prices. Be aware though you’ll wait longer for your food in person than if you were to order for delivery. Waited 30 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese and the cream cheese wasn’t even added onto the bagel. They gave me a small packet of cream cheese to add it myself so I basically waited 30 minutes for them to just toast the bagel.
The food was fast and really good. Now that I live closer, The Beacon will be in my Go To list for breakfast and lunch.
Not very happy Friday July 30,2021 10:15pm just was at beacon diner to get somethito eat. i waiting 15 minutes a family of 6 came after me and they took there order before mine party of 2. When I complained. They said they were switching waiters, they were about to close. But we got there at 1015pm and the family came after us. Non the less they took care of them first.. all good never will go back service at 10pm not the best.
Today I order a steak House wrap it was amazing I never knew that it’s steak wrap can taste this amazing.The steakhouse wrap is the best rap I ever have. if you are meat love you have to come and try it the steakhouse wrap mouthwatering Best place to order It steak wrap. I am 100% coming to buy it again no matter what. for me I always try all the places but this is the best place for a steakhouse wrap. Come here and try it and givee you my Word.
Much more welcoming and friendly than nearby Boulevard Diner, and food quality is a cut above as well. Just wish they stayed open later.

My favorite diner in the area! It’s modern, newly renovated, clean and has very pleasant staff!They have ALMOND milk- Unheard of for the diner in this area and anywhere. Healthy options present for breakfast so you can enjoy diner experience without the gilt of consuming less healthy foods.They follow Covid guidelines.Service is on point. We ordered to go Thursday the 10th at 9:30pm, the girl who answered the phone had no idea how to take an order. When ordering chicken fingers she asked if I wanted one piece of chicken or two. When I arrived to pick the order up they were very rude. Didn’t say hello, asked what I needed.Our order of chicken fingers were soggy and somehow burnt at the same time. The honey mustard sauce was literally watered down. It dropped like water and had no taste. The burgers that we ordered medium well were raw in the middle!Horrible service and disgusting food!
What can I say this place was fantastic with new owners and our server was great thanks for the food (1-Year ago)Well things have change as for my last experience there was no problem with the quesadillas presentation was great but some parts of the plate were looking like there half-washed I know im not a nerd but I ordered a steak meal but ended up getting a chopped steak which is ( Technically) a burger 🍔 on rice 🍚 🤔Im thinking over here like im getting a steak steak meal 😋 🙄 nope!!!!!
Been here before and didnt receive this kind if service. Came here with my sister and two ladies were seated about 10 minutes after us and were attended before us and received their food before us. We got here at around 1:05pm. It is now 1:51pm and were still waiting for our food. Dont think Ill be back here again
This is what I received when ordering a red velvet cake slice with “cream cheese frosting”. What I got appeared to be a cupcake dusted with Red Velvet crumbs that actually had no cake, cream cheese icing and was hard and dry. When contacted the manager to rectify he refused a refund. Stick to Boulevard Diner down the street where the desserts are homemade in- house and they actually know how to provide customer service. I paid $13 for a glob of whipped cream with cake crumbles and for a milkshake that was already melted when I live within walking distance.
So clean and everyone is so nice I eat breakfast on Saturday or Sunday my husband love it this place is a blessing to all 🌹🙏 let everyone just enjoy a familys place enjoy everyone

Service was good, but my wrap was missing ingredients from the description. It lacked flavor and was rather disappointing.
I have become a regular user of the delivery. They have great desserts try the s’mores crepes and I love their shakes and smoothies as well. Great breakfast. The 4 stars reflect the prices. They are a bit too high.
I just had the best gluten free pancakes. They were large and fluffy and my husband couldnt tell any difference from regular pancakes. By the next time I come, I hope to find dairy free coffee creamer and plant based butter too. We were seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon and were not rushed out. We were able to enjoy our second cup of coffee and relax.

I always order the Breakfast Sampler for delivery (eggs over medium with french fries instead of the home fries and turkey meats [turkey bacon and turkey sausage] instead of pork meats) and it is OOOOOHHH SOOO DELICIOUS!!! I order this most days that I am working in the area and the food and service never disappoint. Let me not forget to mention it is reasonably priced!
I tried..it’s not what it should be especially from a customer service perspective. I ordered many times and if it wasn’t one thing it was another. Maybe I’ll edit my review later with the details. One thing is to mess up the other is your common sense and attitude.

I understand theres almost no staff but this was not because of it. The waiter saw me waiting, he took over 17m to arrive to just ask what we want to drink. Said that appetizers and food will all come at same time cause he cant come back I guess! Said that the marinera sauce that goes with appetizers will come at end?? Needed extra drinks, not even once offered if we need anything, or if we were happy, nothing, had to call him 3 times for the check. While all this lack of customer service is happening...a family of 3 white customers walk in, I time him, it took 2minutes and 34 seconds to arrive to them, treat them like they are the only person he is serving, their food gets there first than ours, nice! offered drinks and constantly ask them if everything is ok. I dont get that treatment,, when he finally decides to acknowledge we exist (we are people too) and notice I couldnt finish my food cause I was so upset he goes and says if u didnt like food, tell manager ???? Nope, I just wont tip you, my food that cost almost $85 dollars was not leaving tip behind, neither complaint with anyone....nobody does anything thats whats wrong with this place, the entitlement of some, and those who endorse it ....last time I came wasnt ok but decent, prior than that the manager saw me unhappy without me saying a word notice the issue and fix it.... now manager saw I was unattended, manager had a meeting, manager saw the long wait, manager didnt care

For our first time going here it definitely was NOT a good experience. The waitress was weird and barely knew anything we asking her in reguards to the menu and once we asked for a new waitress we received the hostess who was just as bad she got our orders wrong and was charged for HER mistake, the hostess then FORGOT about us when we asked for plastic utensils and was more interesting in attending to coworkers rather he customers to the point where our food got cold.. she didnt checked on us to see if we was ok our table was filled with dirty plates.. Like the service we received was HORRIBLE!! All we wanted to do was leave definitely wont be returning and please hire someone that actually have knowledge about what u good sell how is that youre oldest employee but yet you can not explain what is what on your menu

What the older lady at the front needs to understand is that The Beacon isnt doing anyone a favor by allowing us to eat there. Customers walking in with money to buy what theyre selling are not children - or, in the very least, not hers.Food is typical and definitely not worth the nasty, condescending experience at the door.

Sat down for lunch. Only 5 tables in the whole place, plenty of staff. Order a cheeseburger deluxe, food did not come out for 1 hour, I ask the waiter where is it? He says it’s coming soon, after 1 hour, I got up and walked out and will never, ever go back there again. I been going to the point for 30 years, I guess everything comes to an end. New owners get your act together, especially during a time restaurant owners are struggling.

The Beacon cured me of in-door eating. Went there for lunch at 2:30 thinking it would less busier than noon time. It was but I was surprised that they did not do a temperture scan when I came in.Halfway through my meal a couple were seated two tables away and the guy started hacking his brains out every 5 minutes. The staff was about as anxious as I was but said nothing to this guy.I got up to pay my bill and asked the cashier why none of the staff is addressing this guys loud and constant coughing and the cashier said the managers are not around and he could not approach the customer about this issue.Will not go back to the Beacon for the lack of protection.

Get what you pay for. You can easily share an app and a meal. Got Mac and cheese balls. They where the size of baseballs. 4 of them! Top off with salad. I was full. Only ate half of both meals.
I would give them no stars if I could. these new owners are horrible and they got rid of the santa clause breakfast for the kids around Christmas. the food went downhill and the portions are super small. go elsewhere!!!! don’t waste your money here
This was the nicest diner I been to. I was surprised at how much fancier the inside decor was for a diner. You almost dont feel like you are at a diner but a nice restaurant. Clean, spacious, well lit, well kept interior. The food was good, prices very decent and the waitress was friendly and on point.
Waited more than 20 min for our food and hadnt even received my chai latte in that time, meanwhile another table received their food even though they came in after us. After asking for the bill for a large OJ, they stated they were busy with the take outs which was why we hadnt received our meal. Btw, OJ was $5.00! We followed the other recommendations ans headed over to Boulevard diner of which we were given our meal within 15 min being there.

One for the kindness of the staff. No more for the price of the food in this economy is ridiculous. The prices went higher and the amount of food became much less . Not only will you leave there broke, you will also leave there hungry. Never again will I order from here. Plenty of other places with great food cheaper prices in the area check Bergenline Ave.
I wanted to like it, but I ordered fettucine alfredo, and it tasted like they cooked plain pasta in water and served it for 16 bucks. No flavor whatsoever. Disappointing.
Entree says comes over rice or pasta, order to go over rice, got home no rice. I mean really, this place has slowly gone downhill and Ive been going for long time not anymore

I really liked ... I recommend it ... it has the 5 stars as a diner.

The Point Diner is our go to in the area! The new decor is very modern, looks fantastic and has such a great vibe. The service is always outstanding and the food is fresh and delicious! We LOVED their calamari for an appetizer and salmon and pork chops for dinner. They also serve alcohol which is a HUGE plus! We enjoyed wine & cocktails for the entire evening!! Hands down the best diner/restaurant in the area!!!
Excellent wrap ! Reuben with fries and gravy .. the unsweetened ice tea was like water. Service was on point and the managers and hosts are truly professional. Excellent place to dine alone or with a date.

The bacon on my burger was old dry and rewarm I swear it was leftovers from someone morning breakfast . I was better off going to McDonalds for a burger this one dry and tasteless..My daughter order a veggie burger she took hers home still in the refrigerator from 3 days ago this tell me she didnt like her either. Im not a picky eater and love food . Point diner not for me...
