My new-bike buying experience at Sports Plaza was the best I have ever had in purchasing a new vehicle. Unequivocally. In the past 30 years I have bought new a Jeep, a Chevy Pickup, and two Harleys. None of those dealers treated me anywhere close to as good as Dave.Specifically, I visited the shop on six (6) separate occasions before even picking up my TW 200. I made an additional eight (8) phone calls in the process. Dave answered at least 100 questions of mine about everything from financing, to maintenance, to longevity, to safety, to where and how to ride. This is NOT hyperbole! He let me take pictures in the back as the bike was just out of the crate and not ready for delivery. By my request, he even met with me out front after a week of ownership just to ride the TW and give me a few more tips. While I am polite, I am not an easy customer.What about the numbers? Well, Dave gave me a price that was $200 less than any of the 15 dealerships I called or visited in Oregon. Instead of the 1 - 2 month wait for a TW everyone had told me, Dave made a few phone calls to “the ladies in the warehouse,” and got me one in six (6) days. With one day left in August, Dave jumped through hoops to get me Yamaha’s Zero Percent Financing. Yes, that’s free money— and that deal is now gone. Lastly, Dave threw in a pair of dirtbike hand guards au gratis just because I asked.A more patient, knowledgeable, attentive, and kind salesperson may not exist. But hey, this IS Oregon, not my hometown of New York City! Just another great experience of living in my new state.

Havent been in store for a long while. Salesman was nice and and was greeted. Supply really low. I was looking for a RMZ-450. We chatted a little bit about other bikes coming in. Covid ruins everything. Overall, store was in order goid supply of clothing and protective gear. Parts guys were friendly and helpful. Id go back again.

Better double check on orders. I order lights they showed in stock and were to be delivered in a day or so. I wanted to get tracking info just to find out they dont have them and wont have them till june. No communication by this company will not buy from here. They did however refund my money.

This is Dons experireance at this business.Purchased Avon tires, the sales person said those tires would be fitting for the bike. After the tires were mounted and balanced, the tires look good, BUT the rear tire oslatesos and appeard to be very unsafe! Contacted them about this matter and absolutely NO satisfaction with customer service! All the business was concerned about is making a sale and getting the money, instead of my safety! Therefore I will go so far to say this company has no integrity towards customer safety or good business!! And I will NEVER EVER stop in this unprofessional shop EVER AGAIN!

Went there to purchase new scooter, they only had one in stock that was rather higher priced then theyre competitors which fine, okay! So asked about it & then they added on extra $800 in licensing fees that is $400-500 everywhere else! Wasnt impressed much~

UPDATE: They canceled my order and refunded the money. However, I never asked for them to do this and I was never contacted by the business. DONT TRUST WHAT THEIR WEBSITE SAYS AND DONT TRUST THAT THE PART IS IN STOCK!! I ordered a comfort seat for my bike on 8/25 and their website said it was in stock. I was told via email the estimated delivery date was 9/2 to 9/8. I received a confirmation email that my order was processed and the payment I made was immediately withdrawn from my account but I did not receive a shipping notice or tracking number (still havent). I called the store and was told that the seats were on back order (their website did not say this when I bought it, it said it was in stock). I was told over the phone that my seat wasnt scheduled to be shipped to their store until 9/8 and then they would receive it by 9/13 and I wouldnt get it until 9/18. I will update my review should this change but at this time, I couldve paid a little extra and had my seat by now. I guess the lesson learned is dont believe what you read, or what businesses promote on their websites. If you still choose to shop this business, I recommend you call first before you order!

Placed an order on 1/8/2020. Said it would arrive before today. I submitted several emails and none of them were ever responded to. I finally found their phone number and was told :The girl gets hundreds of emails a day oh and they have been around for 20 years No apology, no cares about their service whatsoever. Will never use this company again. They need to look to a Revzilla, Cycle Gear, Rocky Mountain ATV and so many others at those business models. These guys are terrible. Fingers crossed my refund is processed and month old order will be cancelled.

Refused to put on new tires without an appointment. Told me they could store my bike and sell me tires, but they wouldnt take the 30 minutes to install the things without and appointment.I get we all have places to be at closing time, but I had metal coming through my bald tires and they couldnt be bothered to be accommodating to my plight.Went down the road to Gresham Powersports, showing up right at their closing time. They sold me tires and had them swapped out in 20 minutes.

Bought my 2019 R6 last year on 4/20/19. Communicated back and forth trying to work a deal on 3 bikes that my friends and I wanted. Finally settled on a price that we all liked. John made it as easy as possible to pick up the bike and sign the papers. Literally in and out in about an hour and a half. Helped us load the bikes up in the trailer. About a year later I get around to installing my quick shifter. Turns out it was a faulty part. Gave John a call to explain the situation and sent him the faulty one so they can warranty it. About a week and a half later I received a new one. The guys and John are hands down awesome. Customer service is A1! A long drive from Washington but these guys made it worth it.

Purchased a pair of Fox dirt bike gloves new three weeks ago, was told by the sales person that they are brand new 2019 items that just came in. Within a few weeks of riding, both gloves had blown out seams in the same spot on each glove. Obviously I shouldnt have purchased a Fox product. However, I was not prepared for the total lack of concern from the Yamaha Sports Plaza staff when I returned. At first they said that theyd have to photograph them and get back to the flaky Fox rep and couldnt make any guarantees about what hed do. Then when they asked for my name to look up the purchase invoice, they said they couldnt find it and that my last purchase was in 2013. Why do you have an invoice system if the purchases arent recorded? What about the chain, levers, and odds and ends Ive purchased since 2013? No record of those either?Retail is dying. I recommend making a modicum of effort to keep local customers. I cant see why Id go back here and not just Amazon Prime myself whatever product Im interested in, rather than driving 30 minutes in traffic to this location.

I purchased a Yamaha MT-03 and found the experience enjoyable and professional. Sales Manager “Slim” Dave got me out on the test ride right away and with no hassle. Paperwork was quick and easy too. If you’re tired of the “Corporate store” BS, try this independent family owned dealership. They’ve got all the bikes, accessories and parts in stock just like the corporate stores. I highly recommend them if you’re in the market for a Suzuki or Yamaha.

Bad experience, buyer beware of shady return policy! Ordered a part for my 4x4 atv and was sent the wrong part. Nearly 300$ by the time it arrived to my door. Then I politely asked to get this resolved and was basically told your SOL because I didnt keep the box with the label on it. (Who keeps shipment boxes laying around???) After many emails they offered me a 37$ refund. Im out nearly 250$ on a paperweight.

Called to get my paddle removed and knobby installed. They told me walks in welcome before 5pm. Came in at 415pm and waited in line for 10 mins. One person walks by me and says we can’t do that today. I drove one hour away to get that? Never coming back

I sent my 2008 Yamaha yfz 450 to get serviced and after they were done he tried to load it into my truck and the ramps slipped off and my quad came crashing down causing a huge dent in my tailgate. Now it doesn’t properly close and is damaged. Also my quad still backfires so I’m not even sure if they even worked on it. I don’t recommend this place to anyone!!!

The warehouse was not shipping bikes due to covid but between him and the ladies at the Yamaha Warehouse, they did their best to get the atv to me as soon as possible as it was my sons birthday present. It didnt come in for approximately a month, but that was no fault of Sports Plaza.Thanks for a great experience.

Bought a new Scorpion helmet from this store at full price, months later I realized from a friend that it was suppose to come with a Chin cover and they never gave it to me, also I noticed the manufacture date on the helmet was at the time of my purchase over 2 1/2 years old (tag says October 2017) (I bought march 2020). Spoke with the owner and he said that date doesnt matter when it has been kept indoors in a controlled environment and even tried to through his weight around by saying Ive been doing this for 30 years. A lot has changed in the helmet industry in 30 years. Does not care about there customers and wouldnt do anything to help, I now have to call Scorpion to try to resolve this. Buyers beware, save yourself a headache and buy from a respectful company like revzilla, partzilla, amazon.

Be careful!!! I accidentally ordered the wrong color Neoprene Ski Vest (the correct color was still in my cart). They would not exchagne. I would have to follow return policy of 20% restocking fee and of course pay for the return shipping. Lesson learned by not reading return policy and making a mistake. Its obviously not a big deal to them, however, they lost my future business. Hope this helps someone else.

These people had my quad for over six months and could not fix the problem they just threw new parts at it untill they reached what I told them I didnt want to go over . and I had to call them to find out what wee going on . went to pick it up and the bill was 1000 dollars. I got them to come down to 700 with Dan paying 282 out of his pocket so he says.He said they never should have taking it in. and if Shawn the head mechanic there is one of the best in Portland than were all in trouble thanks for nothing guys.

Horrible costumer service! If you buy something and want to return you won’t get a full refund, not even if the product hasn’t even shipped yet!!! They will charge you 20% restocking fee! Who does that anymore??? Places like this is just up to profit and don’t care about it’s costumers or trying to keep them! Terrible!

After I ordered a seat for my Yamaha - it arrived quickly and in perfect condition. BUT it was the wrong part. Sportsplaza took it back as a return ( I had to pay shipping) said they would refund me. NOT !! After several weeks of no return phone calls or emails I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and now sports plaza is lying to them trying to say they refunded me. Now Im gonna file complaint with the Attorney General and dispute the charge on my master card. These guys are dirt bags

Never again will I buy or order something from Yamaha Sports Plaza. I ordered ATV parts which took more than a month to arrive and when they finally got here, low and behold only half my order was sent. I placed to call to see what had happened only to be put on hold for 20 minutes forcing me to call back. l sat on hold once again and finally after another they had no answer for me. They have the absolute WORST customer service imaginable. Save yourself time, money, and headache and shop elsewhere.

Ive been coming here for years. Bought a bike here too, very easy and painless process to go through. Service shop is great too, from simple things like tires and oil to more involved maintenance and repair. Fair rates, very knowledgeable staff. Mike of the parts counter has been my go-to for over 5 years, being able to find me the best jacket to suit my needs to tracking down obscure Kawasaki carburetor parts. I highly recommend anyone with bikes, quads, or side by sides to check them out.

Do not order parts from them!!!! I have only received %30 of the parts I ordered. The order placed was in april-it is july 16th!!!!! I was assured these parts were avail, now I am being told they are discontinued. I have paid %100 for my order already. Not once have they called me, in the 4 months I have been waiting. Every time I have to be the one who initiates communication. Zero help.

After weeks they didnt even touch my bike even though I was told some of the parts were put onto my bike. They were also rude when I came by to talk to them about it. They kept telling me I was next when I clearly wasnt. Bad customer service. Long waiting. Just all bad.

Bought my bike there, returned for service. My sister asked to use the bathroom, and they said there was none. Service dept told me it was in the corner. Someone pounded on the door while I was in there and yelled, Are you an employee!? I responded, No, a paying customer. I walked out of the bathroom and asked to speak to the manager. Turns out it was the owner that pounded on my door! There is no good excuse for that. Also, my wildman tank bag was on backwards, I found that disturbing.....devil in the details. Place is dirty and grungy with low bike inventory. I will not go there ever again for anything.

I placed an order on June 1st and every item said it would ship in 2-4 days, and would be deliverd by June 9-12. I didnt get any updates, and my arrival date came and went. So I Emailed Saturday the 13, (their website says they are shipping daily so I assumed someone was there) and got no reply. Called on the 16th hoping for an update, and they said one of my parts wont be at their location until Friday the 19th!!As Im typing this the same product still says it will ship in 2-4 days, but obviously they dont have it.Im supremely dissatisfied, as it looks like this company will be keeping me off the trails for 2 weekends, because I trusted the info on their site.

There is one kind bald guy that works at the parts counter here. He is the only person in the place that I have ever gotten customer service from. No other employee here has ever given me the time of day. The only reason I go here is because it is close to my house and I ride Yamaha. Maybe stop by if you absolutely need something. See if the bald gray beard guy is in. If he is not, just walk back out. None of the other staff will bother greet you, so its not awkward leaving.

My Husband and I recently purchased a used Raptor 660. Ed was very helpful and worked with us on our financing to make it quick & painless. He gave us a fair and honest deal on the quad. Their shop is full of everything, this being said they are usually very busy, even on weekdays. Planning to purchasing a new quad there in the near future, seeing as the one we just got is awesome!! I popped in about 15 minutes before they closed looking for a neck brace. As far as the staff were concerned we had all the time in the world, I did not feel rushed at all. Additionally, the person who helped me (missed his name) knew by looking what size I would need. Found it, had me try it on to see if it fitted and explained the features to me. I could have ordered one on-line but the price was the same and you do not get that kind of service through the internet.

Got absolutely cheated going here for my first bike and they knew they could advantage of me. My car broke down so I came back in in a rush and after signing everything realized they had sneakily raised my interest rate from 20% all the way to 30% and threw on over $500 in fees. I was also told my first service would about $200 but it ended up over $400 and the first ride I took it out after the service it was plumming smoke because they didnt tighten the oil filter housing and when they changed the oil they let it just go all over my exhaust wrap and soak it all the way through. DO NOT GO HERE, there are far more friendly and trustworthy dealerships/shops in the area.

Woke up to a flat tire on my Vstar at Airbnb Government Camp. After coordinating with towing, called Sports Plaza Parts AND Service for replacement tire and that l would be in the shop directly. I have been going into the Yamaha Sports Plaza for over a year now (8 visits total) and always have had a good experience. Mike in parts is great to talk with and always finds what I need-or gets it for me within 72 hours. Good selection of items, clean store, good prices, and friendly people. I have taken my wife and kids in on some occasions and they have been treated very well also. Sometimes they do get busy but they also get around to helping me.

I had oil leaking from my exhaust pipe, bike was smoking up on the start. I took it to Yamaha sports plaza in Fairview assuming a real mechanic would look at my bike and replace the gasket that needed changed. All they did was take off my valve cover and clean it, put it back on and clean oil on outside of engine head. Bike didn’t smoke when I started it at the shop because the oil was cleaned off. These guys took 400$ bucks from me to clean my engine head, something I could’ve done myself. A mechanic did not look at my bike, otherwise the gasket would’ve been changed. Do yourself a favor and never shop at Yamaha sports plaza.

Purchased a new Super T recently after about a year of kicking tires there. Nick the new sales guy was great...low pressure and got stuff done as promised. Had a little issue with something put together in the factory with the throttle, but they dropped everything and fixed it up while I waited. Parts guys kicked butt when I ordered a new helmet and pants, and had them there within a couple days. Def earned my future business. Thank yoU!!

Ive been coming here for year and yes sometimes the customer service is lacking but I also noticed no one is ever just standing around. They are all hard at work doing something or other. They may look big but keep in mind they are a small tight-knit company. They managed to stay open when no other shops managed to stay around. Besides Gresham powersports but where does that leave us Yamaha guys. Dont get me wrong I love the guys at GreshamPS; Nick, Mitch, Joan and Mr Slawsome are all awesome. And FYI pulling your business from small companies because youre an impatient jerk wad, isnt going to help support your local businesses and its not going to help them hire more people. Which is not going to help you get your stuff any sooner! Originally, I had posted a very damning review regarding the repair of my bike. However, I have recently learned that the service manager quit and the new manager (Jerry) has bent over backwards to get my bike repaired at a decent cost.Before speaking with Jerry, I was hell bent on giving this outfit hell! But I will not damn the service department nor the store for one individual who clearly had no ability to provide quality customer service.

Well this is my first time ever leaving a bad review but it is long due. I have been here many times over summer to only be disappinted. First time went in looking for a new bike to purchase, no one ever said hi or hello. So I left and bought a new bike somewhere else, 2nd time came in to order part. After a week i called to find out status and the part was never ordered. Came back to store speciafically told them what part i needed, after eaiting 2 weeks came back wrong. Just called them today my part is on backorder, its been 2 months of trying to buy this part so I can sell this bike, now its costing me more as the season is almost over. I hope to never have to deal with these clowns again. Stay away!
