As a homeowner I appreciate the time they take the help me figure out what I need. Every time I’ve been there everyone has been extremely patient and helpful. They have a sign that says contractors get priority and it’s completely understandable and well worth the wait. Prices were comparable or better than big box store.

The service at Fitchburg Plumbing is excellent. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful! Additionally, I see little difference in the cost of plumbing supplies vs that of the large warehouse store prices. As an example, I purchased some drinking water filter for my home water filtration system and the cost was considerable lower that what I previously purchased at the larger home improvement stores.

Fitchburg Plumbing Supply is a fabulous resource for those hard to find plumbing items. They have a well-stocked store, helpful, knowledgable staff, and treat you like a valued customer with fair pricing. THey will always have those items you cannot find everywhere else.

I went in to find a replacement for a water heater tank temperature control that had accidentally gotten shorted out on our new tank due to an accident (user error).It turns out that they rarely fail and it isnt normally a stock item by itself. Nevertheless, they took a unit that was bundled with a tank kit they had in stock and reordered the part for stock so that they could sell it to me that day. The person at the counter also explained some wiring differences between the new part and the one I brought in to show them. He brought out a furnace controller they had in stock so that he could point out exactly where this replacement would need to draw its power; since the replacement needed an external power supply and the original did not.Before they sold me this $70 part, they had made a phone call to a distributor and talked with a few of the trades people who were in getting parts for their own jobs that day, since the part I brought in was in some ways non-standard, and they wanted to be sure that I would succeed when I put the replacement in. The information they got and gave me was exactly what I needed and I succeeded with it. A very friendly collaborative atmosphere and excellent customer service, for a guy who just came in needing to but one inexpensive thing to make a homeowner repair.
