Fabulous company to work with for updating a new-to-us condo kitchen. This company does mostly high end work but was happy to work with me to install new doors only and did so with a product that looks good but kept the price very reasonable. Would highly recommend them.

Abernathy Finish Master was an excellent choice for resurfacing our kitchen cabinets. We had never considered resurfacing cabinets before but luckily we found them on the internet. We visited their workshop and small showroom and were wowed with their process and the end product. Everything went perfectly, from the removal of doors and drawer fronts, the prep to our existing kitchen to contain the dust from our open concept great room, the subsequent painting of the cabinets in house and the perfectly painted door fronts and drawer fronts that were returned and expertly installed with new closers and hardware. There was nothing that we would have changed with the process. Their workers were professional and easy to have in the house throughout the process!

I have used Abernathy many times over the years and every time they absolutely capture our vision. They offer many services and they continue to impress me with each project. Looking forward to the next time I will need them. Keep up the great work team.

Abernathy Finish Master did a nice job of painting our kitchen cabinets. The job was done when we were out of town. The crew left the area clean and the job looks very nice. We hired Abernathy to repaint our existing kitchen cabinets. They did a terrific job; we are very pleased with the results. After finding them by doing an internet search, we visited their facility and took a tour. We were impressed with the processes they use and their attention to detail. The actual work is done partly at their facility and partly on site. We met at least six employees of the company during this process. All were very professional and thorough in their work. We want to give a special shoutout to Katherine and Diego, who worked in our house for several days. Bottom line: The finished product is stunning and we would not be hesitant to use Abernathy again or to recommend them.

Our kitchen cabinets were older and needed an uplift. After viewing a neighbor’s home in which Abernathy refaced their kitchen cabinets, we decided to hire this company to reface our cabinets. From start to finish, the project went very well and we are hoping to have them reface our bathroom cabinets as well. Kim, who manages the office and is the owner’s wife was a pleasure to work with as was Vern and his crew who worked at our house. Overall, they arrived promptly at 8am and worked until 3pm As per the schedule. The work was neat and clean, and orderly. In fact, they helped us empty cabinets where necessary and helped us put everything away when they were done. We couldn’t be more pleased with our new look!

We hired them when another guy tried painting our kitchen cabinets that ended up not knowing what he was doing. Abernathy stepped in right away and took over the job and hit every deadline they set. I thought my husband was crazy when he decided to redo our kitchen cabinets. Our home (which we purchased in 2007) had upgraded kitchen cabinets and they were failing. We considered getting an entire new kitchen set up until our painter (who is also amazing) recommended Abernathy. We saved a ton of money and now have cabinets that look brand new. I cannot express enough the wonderful job that Ric and his crew did on our oak kitchen cabinets. We built the house 20 years ago and our oak kitchen cabinets were white wash stained. We wanted to change them to a mahogany or cherry type of finish and they did a wonderful job. We highly recommend Abernathy Artisans. We wanted to update our 16 year old kitchen cabinets. We didnt want them painted as we wanted to retain the look of the wood grain. Our positive experience started with Ric Farinella coming to give us an estimate. He was so professional and informative. He made you feel like Abernathy would know what to do to revive the cabinets by describing the process they would use, which would include making sure the dust was blown through a wind tunnel to the outside and also providing a vinyl shield at the end of the kitchen to keep the sanding dust from the rest of the house. We had his written estimate the following morning which included the projected dates the work would be done. He then came back with stain samples. He was considerate and patient with our color selection. Then, the work began. We were so impressed with the two craftsmen who came...David and Chris. They worked constantly for six days to sand and prepare the framework of the cabinets. They were pleasant, professional, thorough and meticulous. They took the cabinet doors to the shop for the refinishing. When the doors were done they were brought back by a team of three...Bill, Perry and Steve. Again, these men were so impressive. They made sure everything was to our liking as to shelf positioning and hardware installation and they were an efficient team. The next day, another craftsman, Josh, came to put a finishing touch on the job. It is so unusual to have everything done so perfectly. We now have friends and neighbors in awe of the change in our kitchen. It is beautiful and we are very happy we used Abernathy Artisans.

My wife and I commissioned solid oak bedroom furniture from the Amish for $4800.00 in 1991. Although it is 15 years old, the quality and condition is impeccable. Unfortunately, the golden oak hue looked horrendous in our brand new home. I provided them a drawer from some other bedroom furniture to try and match. Not only did they try, but they matched the expresso perfectly and at less than 20% of the cost of replacing this timeless furniture. We have a furniture refinisher for life!

In May 2016 I was scheduled with Abernathy Finish Master to have a curio picked up to be refinished. The VERY SAME day the Abernathy truck was to come to pick my piece up, I learned through a phone call with Kayle in their office saying they were too backed up and they couldnt get to my piece until August! They didnt even give me the courtesy of calling me to let me know the truck wasnt coming! I got tired of waiting for it and had to call myself to find out where it was! I was told in that phone conversation they had recently accepted a big job to refinish hotel furniture and they had no place to store my curio in the interim. I was a little upset, but since they came highly recommended I was willing to wait. Then, during the summer when I stopped in to get a status, a gentleman from their shop said it will be more like September not August before they get to it. Again a little disappointed, but I was assured I was on their wait list, and when they were ready I would be called. Then about three weeks ago I call again (late August) for a status update. Kayle told me I am still in the queue and I should be up next within the month. Then I call again yesterday, 9/1. Kayle still doesnt know anything. On 9/3 she calls me and says she was told by the boss (Josh) they are doing away with that side of the business and only plan to refinish kitchens going forward. Is that the worst way to deal with a customer, or what? Whether they are refinishing kitchens or furniture, trust me, you dont want to deal with this organization. They may have a few talented refinishers on staff, but they get a big fat F for customer service and common decency! If they hadnt given me the runaround, my curio would have gone somewhere else to be refinished, and would be done by now!

I called Abernathy with an issue for our cabinets that we had done from previous owner of Abernathy. Rick looked after the issue with great professionalism. I thank he and his team very much!

We contracted this company to paint our cabinets. The job was not started for several weeks later than we had anticipated. They required 50% of the money before any work what so ever had been done. (red flag) When we went to pick our door fronts that they had previously promised to deliver they attempted to collect the final balance still before the on site work had been completed. When on site workers left with no inspection we fould a cabinet they had missed. The owner came the next day to appoligize and collect the money. a week later we received a lien in the mail for this job that was paid in full. Abernathy stated they lien all jobs. If I had this info in the beginning we would not have used them, They do fairly good paint work, but their business practices leave much to be desired. USE EXTREME CAUTION WITH THIS COMPANY,
