These Donuts should be called Cakes with a Hole.Best donuts forever.

The raspberry lemon donut was literally the best donut I’ve ever had in my life. I went back a second day in a row because I just needed another life changing experience. The Bible talks about a big feast in heaven, and I’m fairly confident these donuts are on the menu. I’ve traveled the world but eating these donuts has to be a top ten memory I’ll remember fondly for the rest of my days.

I liked the coffee, but didn’t get to try the gf donuts, which was disappointing since I made a special trip and was looking forward to trying them. Note of caution to #glutenfree visitors, the days that gf donuts are available are different for different locations and the menu that shows up on the google overview doesn’t make that clear. May be good to call ahead to verify availability before you go so you don’t waste a trip. My husband tells me the regular donuts were pretty good and the fritters were great.

Best gourmet donut shop in Fort Worth. The staff and owner are very kind. I have been going since opening day and its very delicious. Gluten free donuts available Wednesdays and Sundays. Hopefully more days per week in the future! A quick tip: as of the writing of this post, my only complaint is that the tops they use for coffee are not very good in that they have caused a coworker and I to each spill the coffee with minimum movement on two separate occasions each.

I ordered gluten free donuts at Funkytown for the first time today, and I have to brag on their customer service! These ladies answered my questions efficiently and with a fabulous attitude when I called in. When I picked up my order, the woman who brought it out to me had given me 6 extra donuts to make it a dozen. The cost of gluten free anything is so high these days that I can rarely afford to go all out, so that was unbelievably appreciated 💕 the gluten free options are more like cake donuts than regular donuts, so they’re very filling and sweet.

Such a delightful treat after being up early for the Cowtown Marathon! Not as big of a selection of donuts as I had thought-- but the flavors were epic. I may have just inhaled the Mexican Chocolate donut topped with dollop of freshly whipped cream. The bagel wrapped sausages were pretty tasty too. A whisper of garlic on the everything was the perfect touch. I do wish there was a drive thru to make things more convenient and allow me to be that much more lazy in the morning.. but there is a little parking lot behind the building that FunkyTown is in. Makes you feel like youve worked for it. 😜 if there happens to be a line-- no worries-- itll move fairly quick.. keep in mind.. you are all there for the one great thing in the end-- for the love of the donuts. So wake up early to beat the rush, and wear a smile to prepare your face to be melted by the amazingness of what you are about to consume.

I needed special Chanukah donuts called sufganiyot (light, jelly filled with powdered sugar) for my son’s class holiday party. I called some of the other donut shops in FW, no one would step up to the plate, but when I called Funky Town, not only were they willing to special make them for me, they were engaged in wanting to learn how to pronounce them and what they were. I was so excited when I picked them up and they looked just like the sufganiyot in Israel. And the taste... holy moly!! Sweet, homemade, raspberry jam in a light fluffy donut, covered in powdered sugar - perfection. Wow. Wow. Wow. My son’s class was super excited to participate in this tradition for Chanukah and I feel like I’ve found my Chanukah donut maker!! Thank you SO much funky town donuts!! I appreciate you!!

Second time here. They have a great selection of classic donuts with a twist (e.g. regular glazed with a hint of cinnamon) and gourmet donuts with all sorts of flavor combinations and toppings. Reese Witherspoon donut is a friends favorite, while I usually keep it simple with a glazed or chocolate donut. I would describe the bite as hefty (a good thing), meaning it doesnt melt away like a Krispy Kreme. Quality donut all in all. Small space with a few seats available outside.

Less than happy with my first experience, as I had mentioned when we walked. What started out as a nice greeting with a little history of who owns the establishment turned into being uncomfortable when ordering. We walked in with masks provided to us by Humana Healthcare to employees. In order for you to hear us we lifted the masks away from our faces, never exposing our face nor closer than 6’, yet you repeatedly asked us not to do that and to get better masks. We remained calm and didn’t criticize your expert advice, however, I will have to suggest that if you are serving food and drinks that your employees get a COVID19 approved mask, not a homemade one. Pay attention to the sign you post on your door too! You allowed another customer inside while we ordered when it clearly says one per customer/party, and yet we remained calm, and you said nothing to them. Here’s another thing, for $20 your sausage wrapped bagels were rubbery, I only ate the sausage. Your fritters were more like cakes with icing. The only good thing was getting an extra cup of coffee for a homeless neighbor. No thanks, I’d rather go to Casa Blanca Cafe for the wonderful downtown experience they give daily to everyone. The small lady there was sweet and very pleasant ❤️ Thank you

Was visiting from outta town (Houston) for thanksgiving break and decided to get everyone some gourmet donuts for breakfast one morning. We were excited after viewing the menu online even though we took precaution when we read that some of the flavors described would not always be available. We live close to a ton of donut places like this in Houston, so we didn’t think much of it. When we got here though, the selection was pretty minuscule compared to what was listed on their website. Maybe we misunderstood or something, but there was a section for varied selections and also one that didn’t specify, which we assumed meant that it was offered year round. Nope. I wanna give them the benefit of the doubt and just say we got there too late in the morning. Who knows. Other than that, the donuts we did end up home with were pretty amazing. We got a wide variety to bring back and no one was disappointed as there was something for everyone. Would probably come back here but with different expectations. I honestly wished we hadn’t gone to their website because then we would’ve just been excited to eat great tasting donuts! #firstworldproblems

One word:yeast. But here’s a few more words though... while the shop and staff are bright and bubbly the Donuts have a lot to be desired. If your trying to end it all then just eat one of the cake donuts without water. & If you love donuts that taste like all the goodness has been drained from them then go inside and have a couple. We thought he snagged a “bad” option with the strawberry chocolate donut- and quickly scrabbled to try the other options thinking would be amazing... they were not. Don’t waste your time or money.

Was a little less than okay. Dont get the hype. I love sweets but donuts are too sugary and as a vegetarian its a bit obnoxious to see bacon on multiple donuts when donuts are one of the few usually safe foods for vegetarians. We often bring donuts and Kolaches to client sites and we got both here and even the special touches were found in the 3 types of Kolaches. I visited this location for the first time today. My family and I wanted to try something new. We purchased 3 donuts and spent $11. I chose the maple and bacon donut, which was $4. After one bite of the donut, it was not what I expected. It was cold, there was no flavor in the donut and the bacon was old and chewy. I went back to return the product. The cashier told me that they did not put flavor in the donuts, only in the icing. She then walked to the back and came back to tell me that she couldnt give me my money back. I asked for the manager and he came out to tell me that this is our product and it is what it is. I was appalled that a business owner would use that type of language in response to a customer. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be returning.
