DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!! Absolutely the worst customer service from manager Jeff and lying salesmen.My husband and I bought a rocking recliner in January 2021 to have for the arrival of our first baby due in May 2021. We were told by salesman Michael Jones that our chair would be delivered in June 2021 and not to worry because “another factory was opening” and we may get our chair even sooner.I have since called twice regarding the status of my order. Once in April in which I was told the chair would arrive in August. And now at the end of May, being told it “might” be delivered in September. They require 50% of the money up front for furniture ($760 that I paid in January) and will not reimburse me! Manager Jeff gave me the following options .. 1. To cancel my order and forfeit my $760 as a “restocking fee”. OR 2. Wait an unknown amount of time (even if it is longer than the stated contract) as they “are not responsible for the factory” and cannot guarantee delivery dates. THEN pay the remaining 50% (an additional $760) to receive my item. This is RIDICULOUS!! I am now fighting for my money back as I’d like to purchase a rocking chair for my baby and me, but it doesn’t look hopeful at this point for me. They have my money and Jeff stated he will not reimburse me.At this point I no longer want this rocking chair as my baby will nearly be 4-5 months ... that is IF I even get my chair by the now stated September deadline. I will be letting all my fellow mamas, friends and family know to NEVER purchase from this store.Please do not make the same mistake I did. Shop elsewhere!!
Do not buy anything from this store. The employees are all liars. We ordered 2 recliners in January 2021 and were told they would arrive at their store on March 18, 2021 We have called several times and have been told that these items were on the truck on its way. These are manufactured in Missouri and I know for a fact that anyone can drive from Missouri to anywhere in Texas in less than 7 weeks. Even their new manager is a total liar. Its now May 7, 2021 and we still have no recliners and these useless employees never call and provide any kind of update. They have our $650.00 deposit that we cant get back from them so they dont care if we ever get our recliners.DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. Extremely disappointed with the employees here. I will be extremely happy once we have our furniture in hand so that way I don’t have to deal with this company’s horrendous customer service. This was the first and last time we will ever deal with Lay-Z-Boy.
We went in expecting to spend some money on a nice couch. Unfortunately, the sales person did not qualify us.We were undersold multiple times. When we asked to see full grain leather the sales person brought over top grain and suggested we start there because it was cheaper.When she did bring over the full grain leather and we had selected one we liked, the sales person specified the price and then emphasized that it was only for one piece but we could go with top grain for less.I mentioned multiple times that I did not want to wait 4 months for delivery. Instead of trying to overcome this objection, the sales person went back to price!
The manager Jeff has to be the worst employee I have ever met. Smug, unprofessional and rude. Lots of other negative reviews agree with my sentiment. The 5 stars and kind words for him have to be fake. There is no way.My wife and I were excited to buy furniture for our first home. The initial sales women we worked with to find and purchase the furniture were all nice and helpful. We ended up buying close to $11,000 worth of furniture.However, due to COVID, it was a 7 month wait to receive the couch!! When our dining room table and other furniture arrived several months earlier I came into the store to see when we could expect them at the house. That is when I met the hero of our story. Jeff. I walked in and someone upfront told me very nicely to go to Jeff and he could help me with my questions. When I was walking to his desk he was already trying to avoid eye contact so he wouldnt have to talk with me. I tried to talk with him and ask him questions. He half answered them and you could tell he just wanted me to get away and stop bothering him. After probing and trying to find out more info Jeff finally informed me that if I wanted the furniture that arrived and was just sitting at their warehouse in Dallas I would half to pay another $140 shipping fee. After already spending $11,000 total. Or... I could wait 4 months for my couch to arrive to receive everything. The way he was talking was rude. He didn’t want to help or find options. I was shocked.I never paid this much for furniture before. Or really anything. Haha. And then still treated terribly by the manager. First and last time I go to Lazy Boy.Update: Table was delivered after paying a second shipping fee. However... they forgot two chairs. So I had to call and find out what happened. At least this time Jeff was a little more pleasant and apologized and said he would fix the issue. Now I have to wait a few more weeks for the two chairs. However, I understand mistakes happen and Jeff was nice and fixed the problem without charging me again.
We spent over 6000.00 on three pieces of Furniture ( La-z-boy) less than year ago. The fabric is balling up and looks like we have had it for years. Im so disappointed. Have been calling the store and La-z-boy for months. They did send someone from La-z-boy out and took pictures. The guy told us to get a fabric shaver to shaver the fabric. OMG, why would you have to do that on NEW furniture? Still have not heard anything else from La-z-boy. Not a happy customer with the store and La-z-boy!!! I will Never shop at this store or buy La-z-boy.
The store manager Jeff was very helpful without being overly pushy. Their products seemed to be of great quality without sacrificing design.
New PostingAfter posting my disatifaction four weeks ago with a 1 star rating, I was contacted by the New Store Manager Jeff who ensured me that he was going to make things right. After meeting with Jeff, he advised me that I could change my order without being penalized. He then walked the store with me and advised me of items in his warehouse. Once I made my selection I was also assisted by the new design specialist Madison who was very instrumental in helping to coordinate. Once I finished with my selection I was totally satisfied and too top it off Jeff scheduled my delivery date for the following week. I think this new leadership want to do right by the customer, so I want to thank Jeff, Madison, and Kia for providing excellent customer service which is deserving a rating of 3 stars.Old postingVery Disappointing. I placed an order in November 2020 and modified the color of the furniture in December 2020. I have yet to receive my order and feel like I have been getting the run around with obtaining a delivery date within 20-30 weeks. I thought I would have received my living room set back in March of 2021, but was told in my visit back in February that it was scheduled for Delivery in June/July. And in my most recent visit was told my delivery was scheduled for August. I received an email with the following response from a La-Z-Boy representative, Theres nothing else we can do at store level to speed up the process is what Im told and if the corporate office do agree to allow you to pick something else for faster delivery, then you do loose 50% of your deposit on the current order you placed as a restocking fee.This unacceptable and unethical behavior drove me to shop for my other furniture needs with another furniture store just across the way who was Professional, Polite, and Prompt with my delivery.My La-Z-Boy experience has been so disappointing.
I’m not sure how La-Z-Boy maintains any customers. My wife and I needed to refurbish our home at the beginning of October. We went in on 9/29/2020 and we were told by James (who has since been fired) that if we showed up on 10/2 and made our purchase we would have half of our furniture ready and delivered on 10/6 and then the rest by November. We came back on 10/2 to finalize our purchase and were told that we could expect half the furniture on 10/6 but the rest may not be ready for another 10-12 weeks. Not a big deal, I understand it’s covid and things can get delayed. I left lay-z-boy at 11:30am ($6,000 spent) and received a call at 11:32am from James telling me that the half of the furniture won’t be ready for 6-10 weeks and the rest of the furniture won’t be finished for 16-20 weeks. It has now been 22 weeks, the only time I receive communication from the store is if I call. When I do call it’s the most off putting experience I’ve dealt with. Somehow I get the feeling it’s my fault for deciding to purchase furniture from lay-z-boy instead of the company over promising and severely under delivering. I think we’ve complained to about 10 personal friends to stay away from this company for having shady sales practices and we plan on continuing to complain. I will be extremely happy once we have our furniture in hand so that way I don’t have to deal with this company’s horrendous customer service. This was the first and last time we will ever deal with Lay-Z-Boy.
We bought three pieces of furniture from this store in mid August during a sale. Our associate was helpful and the furniture seemed to be good quality. We were told that the furniture would arrive in 8-10 weeks. Two of the pieces are in the warehouse, but we are waiting on the couch. We are now at 13 weeks. I was told the first time I called that it would be in on Oct 22, then I was told Nov 1. I called today, Nov 5, and someone told me it was still running behind. Only once during those calls did anyone apologize for the furniture not being there on time, all the other employees are very rude. If you go to this store, then plan on not getting your furniture until at least 3 months, who knows, maybe more. Also expect to be treated rudely AFTER they have your order and down payment.
