Awesome comic shop!! Great staff and very friendly! This shop offers a nice selection of current and back issues!! Got a stack of Captain America back issues at very reasonable prices!!

No pressure, friendly staff and a good selection of comics. There are a number of other items that I dont collect but appear to be in abundance as well. Ask for items you dont see. I bought a number of reasonably-priced omnibuses that were in a staff members personal collection and he was looking to generate some cash.

One of the best comic/collectible places in the Nashville area. They are fairly priced and they selection of POPS! Is outstanding. I always find some of the most sought after pops there and even the rare finds.

I started collecting comics in San Diego CA. in 1987. Starbase reminds me of the better shops you see all over the place out there. Its awesome to have a West Coast quality shop right here in Cool Springs. The toy and POP selection is ridiculous as well. Go check them out...youll love it!

My husband and I were in Franklin from out state and looked for a comic store. This place was AMAZING. The most Funko Pops, action figures, collectibles, and selection of comics weve seen. Thank you Dave for all your help and great conversation!

This is by far our favorite comic store in the Nashville area! They ALWAYS have an amazing selection of comics AND collectibles! New stuff and vintage stuff, this is the place for awesome stuff! Dave and Judd are over the top friendly, knowledgeable and fair. WE LOVE STARBASE!!!

I absolutely love visiting the shop and the owner is really amazing guy. I’ve now started bringing my kids and we always have a great time browsing until we find that “one thing” we had to have! Blessed to have a cool spot in our community to get Pokémon, comics, and action figures!

Found this gem by accident. Stopped by to check on a few titles when i was in this area. But i was absolutely stunned by their stock, friendly staff and comic availability. 😳 This is the spot for comics hands down!! I will gladly make the drive from Bellevue just to get my comics from here for now on!! Amazing shop.. i will be back!!!

Starbase is a great place, good selection, a variety of different items depending upon when you go. Sometimes I come out with a lot, sometimes a little, but always something.

Great selection of comics and other memorabilia including Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers, movie figures and pictures. Only thing is it can get a little cramped at times if there is more than 15-20 people. Staff was very knowledgeable and polite.

I visited Starbase a few times in the past before the Covid 19 took effect..When I was traveling through TN,I always stopped and the store was awesome.

Great store so many great deals i got mezco symbiote spidey for $40 bucks compared to $80 and many more great deals! this place is my second home and the employees are generous and caring people!

Sold some items for store credit because there were a couple items I wanted. First they low balled me. Could of got a lot more from the Outer Limits up the road. Then I went to purchase items with store credit and was charged tax on these items. Only place I know that charges tax on store credit. The Outer Limits dont and neither does any of the Great Escapes. Lesson learned. Never will deal with again.

Nice place. It has a little bit of everything. I came in looking for the Walking Dead Blind Bag variants on Walking Dead day, but they were sold out of #1. This was 30 minutes after they opened. Easy to find what you are looking for.

This is a great little comics & collectibles shop with a fairly large Star Wars presence, including signed pieces. Prices are at or below fair market value and Judd (the owner) is really friendly and knowledgeable. Ill definitely be back!

Great of current and legacy comics, toys, etc selection and always lots of fun events happening. Went there on May 4th which was when Star Wars Day and Free Comic Book Day overlapped and got to see an actress from Return of the Jedi! A little slice of Comic Con close to home.

I called today asking for something from My Hero Academia. The person who answered didnt know what the heck I was even talking about. Really? One of the most popular animes to come out in the last 20 years probably second only to DBZ. Really?I almost wanted to laugh but it was just ridiculous

Decent pop prices excellent comic prices. The pop prices can be forgiven as I think different people rent out parts of the store.

Feel like I dont understand the industry. Got into comics again recently and one big publisher has been at the top of my list: Image. They have a ton of new series and I was hoping to find at least a handful to pick from in hard copy.This place basically only has marvel and dc comics (the superhero kind). Occasionally I saw a dark horse or vertigo issue but few and far between. Just doesnt really appeal to me. Ill be checking out the comic shop in Donelson next

Starbase 1552 Comics is the place to be. They have tons of great comics, and cool toys and collectibles. The staff is friendly and welcoming and I would highly recommend it to everyone!!

I came to the store and the sign saying when the staff member would be back was past. There was no one there. I facebooked the store and when the associate returned, she lied about the sign. I had photographic proof and posted it on Facebook for others to examine. They agreed, she was wrong. She was VERY hostile, she chewed me out and disappeared in the back, I thought she was getting a gun, so I left, she chased me out. I do not feel safe there and would never go there again as long as she is working there unless I had a local PD escort. I agree with another reviewer, she did not look happy to be there. But my experience may have also been race based since she is white and I am not. I do not know for sure. But I as a person of color will not shop there again.

Agree with the other review. The girl that works there is inctedibly, rude and unhelpful. Apparently unless youre a boy, who was there and she was entirely nice to.So far as me, I could barely get her to answer any questions and she obviously just wished I would leave and seemed to want no one else in the store.Its a pity because the store seems nice and I was wanting to buy some action figures.

So im a nerdy middle age man with the maturity of a 14 yo boy that just happens to be blessed with a career that pays me ridiculous amount of money. My one vice in life are comics and my wife is constantly reminding me how I overindulge. I’m new to Franklin and was looking for a new comic shop to feed my obsession. The first shop I found on line close to where I live was called starbase so I go. As I walk in I admit I was impressed by the large selection of comics and many of which I have been looking to purchase. The problem came from behind the counter. Idk if it was bring your daughter to work day on the day but behind the counter is a younger looking female dressed in the fashions of a mall rat circa 2007. Still rocking the uggs as if she had got them as a gift 15 years ago but refuses to believe they’re not coming back into style. When I asked the price on a copy of FF 45, she said “those are the expensive ones, at least in the hundreds if not 1000s.” I already assumed as much but she didn’t seem it was worth her time to reach up and check the price. The price wasn’t that bad and I filed it into my mental list of possibilities. Then I asked where they kept back issues of Spawn. She looked at me as of I asked her to explain how gravity works. She had no clue who Spawn was and said “yeah we don’t have that”. And made no effort to help me find some. I however found multiple spawn issues on my own. Then she tried to argue with me and baiting me like she wanted to fight over something. So I just left. I went to Outer Limits comics which was a much better experience where I bought the FF #45 I wasn’t as well as the first appearance of moon knight. A nice copy of Iron Fist where Sabretooth makes his first appearance and almost 200 dollars of spawn comics. I ended up spending almost 2000 dollars at Outer Limits. I have too much disposable cash that i will probably spend enough on my habit each month that they will be able to pay their rent each month just on the salesThey make to me alone. Too bad Suckbase. You might want to work on your bad side manner because you have a really great store and great selection of comics but I will never give them a dollar of my money.

One day I get a phone call from my brother telling me the store has an ASM#1 and 3. He sends me pictures, I talk with the owner, and end up buying both books for a total of $5200 - above the price guide (but hey, it was an ASM#1 and 3). A year goes by and I decide to send the books to CGC. Imagine my surprise when first the ASM#3 followed soon thereafter by the ASM#1 both come back as trimmed. My heart dropped. I talk with the owner and he refunds me the price for the ASM#3 - but not the ASM#1, saying he didnt know and I had the books for a year. While I can sympathize, as the owner of a comic store, I would have hoped he would stand behind his representations - especially given the money I spent and that both books came back trimmed. Needless to say, I will never shop there again nor will I ever recommend the store to anyone.

Great selection of modernn silver age, and even older comics! They have a lot of Pops, toys, signed collectibles, posters, and other geekery as well.

The store is not what I would expect from a city like nashville, the one person I asked, I asked about a issue 1980s everyone should know, well they did not know what I was talking about. The back issues are really lack luster. I am rating this store on the bases that Ive been to comic shops on the west coast-east coast and many in between.

A well stocked store with great collectibles, but most merchandise is way over priced and simply not worth buying from the store. Will shop online.

I showed up at 10am on a Tuesday and they were closed. Went next door to do some shopping and came back around 10:45am and they were still closed. All lights off, door locked, sign still says closed, yet right on the door it says open at 10am and theres nothing saying anything about opening late. Completely wasted my time driving here.
