They had a great selection of live bait. Very friendly staff, very knowledgeable, and all around just good people. Will be going back as usual, my go to bait shop on Galveston Island.

Always have the best shrimp. Very friendly and welcoming. And again, the biggest and most feisty/ healthy live shrimp I’ve found. Well worth the 1/2 mile detour

What can you say, its a bait shop. Sometimes the shrimp are too big or too small never that perfect size. Everyone is nice but get there early or they maybe sold out.

I really do enjoy fat boys. It’s the only bait shop I visit when I’m down south. They are nice, helpful and usually have everything you need!

Wont let you buy half a dozen mullet or minnows. You pay for them upstairs and then go downstairs and get the bait. They dont tell you that the bait is abnormally smaller saint what it is supposed to be. Since I paid with my credit card I figured I wouldnt hassle with asking for a return. I would not recommend people going there

Save your time and money and just dont stop the bait shrimp where so small and I mean small and all the other bait was all frozen this place is garbage

Best place to stop. Lady st the counter always in good mood and wont hesitate to give you tips on fishing .. other reviews are from entitled pr*cks who expect too much out of a family owned BAIT SHOP . Come here get your bait and get fishing! I expected worse based on some these reviews but was pleasantly surprised with how nice they were and how accurate bait I got.

Really big shrimp, but I was fishing small fish that day. They kept biting shrimp in half.

Used to be good... now theyre horribly unfriendly. From chasing you out asking for mullet back that they accidently gave you extra of to being out of bait youre watching swimming infront of the baithouse all the while not allowing or attempting to net it themselves. Even offered to buy croaker if I can throw the net for mullet. Nope.EDIT;I distinctly remember you being out of mullet that day and worker saying they wont net and sell either so not much room to explain.Moreover; after having to walk all the way back to your mullet tank hand scoop out your employees mistake then being able to get my oxygen tank on them I lost 5 mullet by then. So no; you shorted me and I made that clear to the woman working that day.

Came here to buy some bait. The owner, I am assuming was very friendly and even gave us some free koozies. The guy that works below that gives the bait was also very friendly. We will be coming to this place when we need bait. 1 inconvenience was that they only accepted cash. Otherwise, pretty good place.

If they have normal size shrimp they arent too bad but if they have a tank full of large shrimp they have no issue giving you 12 jumbo shrimp in a quart and if you say something the old gentleman there gets an attitude(all other employees are friendly). I understand at different times of the year the shrimp run different sizes but when they are large they do nothing to compensate like other bait shops. Ask to see the shrimp first before you pay!

Great customer service! The owner answered all of our questions and even helped me set up my fishing rod.

They were very nice and courteous. Prices were not too bad. 6 dollars a pound for dead bait...buy two pounds of shrimp and the third pound is free.

Awesome place almost always hit this place up they dont upcharge if the shrimp are big but if they aint they are not shorting you either almost always my first stop unless I still had frozen bait from the last trip

Came in today with my boyfriend to buy some bait, the cashier lady was very friendly and helpful, she was honest with us and didnt try and over sell to us she even gave us some fishing tips. The guy downstairs was very nice and friendly as well! I love this place now Im coming back for all my fishing needs!

Pretty sketchy. The guy working there (cant remember his name, sorry) was acting really weird and borderline harassing us before we came into the store. Just weird.

These guys are really cool, they have everything you need. Check out their crab trap, it is made by a professional crab trapper. The live shrimp always last long enough. They always give you a little more shrimp then other place. Most fill right to the line. They care enough to give you about an inch over the line to make sure you dont get cheated. Recommended.

The live shrimp was kinda expensive but the employee was in a good mood for being cold and so early in the morning.

I have been to most of the bait shops in Galveston. When the live shrimp are running small, Fat boys seems to always have medium to large ones. They are always kind and polite. I recommend you to stop by.

This place is a 2nd home. Always has live bait and they are awesome hardworking people. You now can pull up to a pier to pick up your bait now. You can make special orders for whatever your need is and they will get you set up from a pier to offshore. Get on over there to see them.

There was no one AT ALL, you have to call the phone number (left on the door) to get service in the shop, but they didnt pick up the phone so I got no service. Bait tanks are unattended, is that stuff just free? Because I should go back and get some if it is.
