Rude staff, and how can I be charged for the months it was shut off I wasnt even using it, but now its back on I gotta pay for the months it was turned off no thanks Ill change service. An also u charged me twice for the same month once.
Have had service here for years.I cut down to basic cable & internet & my bill is still $129.I only get a few tv channels but I hardly ever have it on since Im never home. Sometimes the internet is slow. I think that is too much. Thinking about doing away with the cable altogether

I have been with this company for Internet for 3 months, and have gotten several different answers to the same question. It seems that they all do not understand what’s going on in their own company. Not only that, but each encounter I’ve had when I needed to call, I have had rude associates that not only cut me off midsentence, but also do not try to help. They are more concerned about their money than the people paying their salaries. Not a pleasant experience. Not helpful. And some of the worst customer service I’ve had with utilities. Would not recommend, and I will not be returning back if I can help it.
Im not a happy customer with this company at all the internet is the worst wifi I have ever had I had to upgrade to the 500mbs and Im luck to get 200mbs Im have the text come out three times now
Paying for service yet it’s been down since 11 pm last night and I cannot reach the company because there’s no way of contacting them with reports of an outage! Service is mediocre at best when it does work! With COVID-19 our children are using this to access their schools online classes yet here we are without service that we are forced to pay inflated prices for!
Some of the technicians are really cool buts it’s upsetting to find out there is fiber optic being ran a half mile down the road into a different direction and a whole section of population is cut off from fiber and gets copper wire Internet that runs at 5mbs and always cuts out and charges 79.99 a month for these services should be a crime
I got to say, this has one of the most unstable and unreliable networks ever. We pay for 100 megs. Then we can barely manage to get close to 40 megs. 70 50 90 20 megs, Its so unstable and everyone else I know seems to get better wifi than I do. Ive done tests every day to see its history of its ups and downs. So, just dont expect much when you get this provider.
I dont understand why melissa is treating us so terribly. We are new to munfordville and paid for internet 2 weeks ago and she cant find our paperwork after telling us she recieved it...wouldnt even give us the local number told us to drive to the office and get the number from the door..so unprofessional

Very pricey for below average service. Don’t expect them to give you install day’s either. I guess they think it’s reasonable to say I don’t know 5-7 business days when you ask what day they are coming. Some people can’t just not go to their jobs because the internet company may come.

I wish I could give 0 starts. If you like your internet going out every month sometimes twice a month then this is the provider for you. I work night shift and rarely get nights but it always seems it goes out on my nights off without fail. It’s really frustrating to not be able to enjoy my night off, I rely on internet to keep my occupied during the night but oh well. I like in BFE so it’s not like I have any other internet providers to choose from so I just have to keep letting SCRTC screw me over whenever they feel like it.
Absolutely terrible service for the super high prices, and we’re stuck with them because it’s the only one that supports where we live currently. Save your self the frustration, if you can use someone else do it.

In all my years on this planet I just wanna say your internet service is hands down the worst Ive ever experienced. Your service isnt just bad every once in a while its bad everyday. We cant watch a movie all the way through without it pausing or just simply stop for a few hours. So congratulations!!! Thanks for being the only option I have. Please dont text back and say we can have one of our technicians look into it. Sounds good to everyone else thinking you all care. Trust me you all have been out here plenty of times.
I have been with this company for years and have their upgraded package. This ping is awful. Forget playing a video game and streaming a movie on the high-speed package. The only reason I havent went elsewhere is because we live in a area where no other companies provide internet. Honestly after 5 years of paying this company you would think something would get better. Only thig is they finally let us drop the phone. if you have options then dont go through this company. I know the other companies in this area are trash too but if your going to over pay I hope you can at least get the service you pay for.

If I could give this company a zero I would! They are way to high priced was paying same amount with different company for 80mbps! Can’t find another company because they have monopolized all of Glasgow area just about and any other provider within distance stinks as well, honestly if they upped there speed it probably wouldnt be as bad,but if there slow speed is this high in price,I can only imagine what fiber optic/ fast speed would cost! If you guys would fix your pricing to not be so darn high and provide better speed of internet I would change my ranking
Very expensive compared to other telecommunication companies. Slow internet speeds. Only service available in some areas so most consumers are stuck with them. They really need to upgrade everyone they serve. If another company would come in and service the rural areas they would do really well if they could offer better service and quality.

Been out of service all day.no internet no tv no phone..they tell us they will get to us when they can..test show box on house bad been waiting since 8 am this morning..its 104 now and say to us get to it when they can today or tommrow.and my cable bill is 181 and I have insurance I pay extra for tepairs

A sorry excuse for an ISP. Dont use this company no matter what. They lie about the speed of their services. Their contactors suck at problem solving when it comes to issues with your service. This is our third day with no internet service & they cant figure out why.

I CONSTANTLY have issues with my internet. Theres not a day that goes by that I am not able to do something as simple as watch a YouTube video without it cutting out. Im literally not able to do a single thing! Ive complained MANY TIMES and not a thing has been done about this nonsense. We pay money for services that we do not receive, and that is crap. Fix this!!

This companys prices are horrifically expensive and for the services they offer its very over paid, with this being the only company in my area Im very upset with what I have, worst Internet I have ever experienced. I get MAYBE 5 mgbs/s for a triple digit number a month plus a phone and two cable TVs Im highly upset with service and would switch to any other company if available. Only good thing is friendly service.
Easy to work with
The internet is slow and is not the package you pay for more often than not. Sometimes it works fine, but then there are issues that last for weeks and never seem to go noticed until you contact them. It’s infuriating how bad they are at watching over their customers.

Literally the worst internet I’ve ever had to deal with, and it’s the only one available where I live.Some days it works fine, but then it will slow down and NOTHING I can do at home fixes it. It will be a lower quality for WEEKS. You have to call them and they have to come out to your house to assess the situation.But it’s funny, because normally right when they say someone is on their way over my internet always seems to fix itself. Or get better to a point that the person who comes out can say they see nothing wrong with the speeds (well one thing wrong is the lack of actual product my family is paying for). Then it is fine for a few days or longer if we are lucky, but it always drops again.I honestly want to believe that they play with your internet speeds so you have to call in and they can go “fix” your problem so they have enough reports for their quota. It wouldn’t surprise me with all the shady stuff they do.They have also been putting in fiber internet In my neighborhood (they supposedly have to run it right through my yard so we will get it for cheaper) for about 2 years now. We are probably going to be moved away by the time they even get started.Do not use this company if you have any other options. Even satellite would be better than this.
They had a subcontractor with Texas plates who left limbs, trash and blocking the road without flagman. Nothing done but the city did inform them what they cant do.
Customer service usually friendly and helpful however the internet is slow, drops out often despite numerous calls to fix it. Also annoying that you are required to have a landline in todays cellphone world.

I work in telecom but unfortunately where I live we have only scrtc as our provider. 13mbps download speed for $80.34 they better hope that no competitor comes through the area because they’ll lose all their customers !UpdateDo not try to stream anything live (playoffs) after 830 pm est. a joke. This company does their customers bad because their are no competitors. I work for a fiber company and would do anything to get away from scratch but where I live I am limited to copper. If all these giving harsh reviews was to check out hughes net they would not be saying such harsh things yes there are a few issues but nothing like what i went through with Hughes net. At least they are far more polite and respectable then hughes net they showed up in a timely fashion they have worked with me and have been more professional then most.

You Never get the upload or download speed you pay for, go ahead and test it yourself, go take a speed test online, you get maybe .5 up and maybe that down. I hate everything about SCRTC.
Forced to take a landline even though we will never use it. I asked about a credit for a service we wont utilize and the agent said no. So they are basically stealing my money. Paying for 15 mgs of speed for internet but only get 8. Again no credit. The offer a ton of channels but at least 20 are music, 10 are education (limited broadcasting), no NFL Redzone. Way too much for what they offer. Finally dropped all services except internet.
The worst company I have ever dealt with. My Internet connection has been horrendous. I have complained (including in the office) more than a dozen times. I have had service techs, customer service reps, and managers talk with me... My connection is out again. My Internet connection goes out at least once a week. The service is very expensive and I have to pay for a phone line I dont want.

Absolute worst company I have ever had. Hope they go out of business for overcharging on outdated, unreliable, and faulty internet that isnt even worth 2 cents. Dont ever do business with them.(Edit) My internet has went down twice this week for over 2 hours for maintenence without any notice. I dont understand how your equipment can be so bad that you are struggling just to keep your lines up. Maybe invest in buying new equipment??? Worst service provider ever. What they dont tell you on their website is that even with phone service, you may only be able to get 5 mps. I tried to get upgraded to 15mps but the engineers said they couldnt push 15 mps to my location. Theres no disclaimer on their website to say that even if you have their phone service, not all of the phone service Internet plans are available in all area. I get that fiber is not available in all areas...but it doesnt make sense that not all phone based plans arent available. False advertising!!
Their service is pitiful and their prices are laughable for how little they actually provide. And they know they can get away with it because theyre basically the only telecom company in an area thats mostly old people, so they make no efforts to improve or fix anything. SCRTC is a joke.

The service is horrible. They make you have a home phone, which no one has anymore, they do not have digital cable that is compatible with Tivo, their DVR only records one show at a time, their internet is terrible because it comes and goes. They are outrageously high for the horrible service they provide. This company needs to do a major upgrade and get with 2017.Where my house is located, this is my only option for a cable and internet provider. I have had multiple other providers in other houses and in other counties and SCRTC is the absolute worst. I do not mind paying for good service, but I have a huge issue with paying a large amount every month for crappy service and service I do not want (the home phone). I have not had a home phone in over 10 years, so whoever wrote you have to have a landline to have internet is wrong because a landline is not required to have internet service. The only calls I receive on my landline are spam calls and bill collectors looking for the woman who had the number before me. I am in the process of switching to satellite just so I can have decent TV and reliable service. My bill is $121 a month for phone, cable, internet and my security system. I only have the basic cable as well, so I get the locals and not much else.. This is much too high.The only good thing about SCRTC is their security system. It is top notch.

I dont know what people are complaining about... my bill is $57 for phone and internet, and as far as HAVING to pay for the land line to get internet, thats every ISP Ive ever known... so whats the surprise? Whats the difference? Also, they DO NOT cut off your service before the due date... my bill is due the 15th of every month, and often times I dont pay mine until around the first of the month, and they are fine with it... I dont even get a late charge. Its not super fast, but I dont have the highest package either. I can watch HD videos with no problem, I get about a MB a second, a little over. 9 Mbps. For all the people complaining, I dont know what they are complaining about. I think the service is awesome. Ive never had any disruption in my internet, no downtime, and I run 3 desktop computers off the ethernet as well as a laptop, 2 phones, and a tablet off the wifi. For $57 bucks a month, I think its a very decent service.
Paying way to much for basic service
Has anyone here ever considered a class action law suit? I am a visitor using the service and I used an internet speed test to see how fast the service is and its BAD....I mean really, really BAD. If youre paying for 1-2 MBPS then you are getting what you pay for. But if youre paying for more and everyone on here seems to be in agreement how bad and slow their internet and service is then, I would consider it. If I didnt have to rate this review, they wouldnt get anything. Good luck!
I am a very positive person. So not gonna be negative but honest. This service is unreliable. It charges high price for low service. I believe they are in business because they are the only service in the area so good for them...not so good for us residence. At best buy a geeksquad member in Bowling Green warned my husband and I about the internet speed in this area. He also said there is a device we can purchase to enhance this terrible service. In the meantime, if anyone does know of another service in the Glasgow ky area pls post immediately...believe in solutions to every issue therefore this review is to be continued..
Hidden fees on the landline phone they REQUIRE you to have. Internet speed is awful and the prices astronomical compared to any other company. To top it all off they do not abide by FCC guidelines pertaining to broadband internet.
Wi-Fi service sucks but good company
Fair warning, they require you to maintain a phone line, which they advertise at $17.99, yet end up charging you ~$34.00 per month for with fees and junk. Been complaining and fighting to discontinue it since we split our initial package apart as we only want internet, and was not informed that phone was required when we signed up. Service has been so so, lacking dependable internet speeds for streaming, which is the package we have. Poor excuses for the delays that we have incurred either receiving answers or getting our service back up.

Literally the only option where I live. As a result, it makes customers feel like being taken advantage of. I pay over $30mo for a house phone I NEVER use and NEVER need. I had tried leaving it plugged in, but the level of spam calls was so frequent DAILY that I had to just leave it unplugged. I have a mobile phone via Bluegrass Cellular as most locals do now and do not need nor want a house phone. I shouldnt have to waste $30mo for something I dont want. I dont like being forced to pay for it. Especially since my location has been upgraded to fiber optic. Its so outdated to still have to have a housephone considering the cost of smartphones. $200mo for a mobile phone, internet, housephone. Thats with me turning OFF cable! Ive seen them go off on social media about customers complaining about the phone requirement. Very unprofessional. Seriously, just please find a way to change this!! Id rather pay $30 for faster internet! Which is also an issue. I upgraded to 5 up and 5 down. Speed tests NEVER show me at that level despite me paying extra for it. I require fast internet for my business. To be paying extra for faster and not get that is frustrating. If theyd stop forcing home phones and provide the speed that we pay, most of us would gladly pay more to upgrade to even faster level. Im dying for 10up and 10down or faster, but for now...I feel too cheated to upgrade again. Their customer service has however always been nice and when they did put in the fiber optic, they replaced the grass, gravel and everything as if it never happened. My business relies upon their service, so I hope they listen to their customers!
