I visited this store in June of 2020 in search of flooring. I had to make an appointment in advance. My appointment was with a consultant named Jennifer. Upon arrival she was very nice. As the appointment continued she was thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable.I really appreciated her input. When I finally found something I was interested in she said she would work on pricing and other necessities and call me in a week after she returned from vacation. Here it is August 2020 and she has never called. In retrospect, when asked what price point I was looking to spend she seemed insulted or disappointed. Apparently Im not wealthy enough to earn their business. That kind of customer avoidance tactic is rude and tacky. I was glad to take my business elsewhere and sign a contract with another company.

Richmond Decorating in Glen Allen came to my rescue after a horrific flooring experience with another company. I called Richmond Decorating on a Monday and spoke with Jennifer. I explained due to confusion on whether solid wood could be glued down to concrete, I was left with no floors in 2 rooms. Jennifer immediately jumped into action to get the ball rolling to rectify the situation. Tuesday morning I received a call from Lee asking if it was ok for him to come in the afternoon to measure in addition to bringing samples to choose from. By Thursday I had a quote and the floors were ordered. The wood came in on Monday and were installed Wednesday! Ottam the installer was very meticulous, neat and took great pride in his work. Start to finish was 2 weeks and I couldn’t have been happier. Both Jennifer and Lee called the following day to see how everything went. I will definitely use their services in the future and have recommended them to all my friends. For a seamless, stress free flooring experience I strongly recommend Richmond Decorating in Glen Allen!

Jennifer was outstanding.....we visited several times and she helped us to make the final decision on our carpet choice, and then assisted us with stair runner choices. Lee came to our home to measure, and his input as to our final decision was also valuable.The installation went very smoothly, and Richmond Decorating worked along with us to set up our desired installation date.We will definitely return to Richmond Decorating in the future for any other flooring needs!

We purchased carpet for the second floor of our home. Jennifer was helpful in the selection as well as stayed in contact during the process. Lee was a true professional during the measurement process. But the best part were the 2 installers. They arrived as scheduled, went right to work, and finished in 1 day. They were diligent, efficient and the carpet looks great. They asked before they left if they had put the few furniture pieces back where they were, and assisted with some minor changes. They stayed on-site and on target. Thank you so much for an excellent experience!!

My experience in a nutshell was amazing. I purchased carpet for my 2nd floor from Delorme at the Glen Allen location. He was very patient and came up with multiple options to meet my needs. The installers were amazing. The precision and care they took with moving my furniture and putting it back exactly as they found it was superb. The finished product was great. Love my carpet. I will buy all my future carpet from Richmond Decorating!

Richmond Decorating has been my go-to place for floor and window treatments for many years. They are thorough, helpful, and professional. Their prices are reasonable, and their selection is extensive.

13 years ago I built my house in a New neighborhood- During the build, I had to choose my carpeting with RDC... Service was fine and the carpet was decent. My issue is that I got to take my shoes off and feel the different “padding” that goes under the carpet. I ended up thinking 🤔 Ill live in this home for decades and went with the thickest padding $$$. Long story short - I never received the more expensive padding.. This was clear once I moved in and obvious when I switched over to hardwood years later. These guys are crooks.

I was in the process of remodeling my kitchen & purchased my backsplash & vinyl flooring from Richmond Decorating. I truly appreciate Jennifer’s assistance. She was very knowledgeable about the products & went the extra mile in answering any questions I had. I also want to thank Wonderlay, the gentlemen who laid down the flooring. Mixed bag with these guys, but overall, I would avoid since there are probably better options for service and finish products. Mike, who I believe is the owner, is a complete jagoff. Let me share. The sales lady, who was in charge of tile and flooring for our build, had no idea where any of example building materials were for our meeting (strike 1). So after all the hiccups, we ask to see the upgraded tile. She shows us a board where the small mosaic tiles are embedded among the larger tiles. She also said, if you look at the houses already built, they have the same design. So we paid for the upgrade. Come tile time, they did it without the mosaic and didnt stagger the tiles. So it literally looked like a square with beige tiles. Even the foreman was appalled with the work. After speaking with this robot, Mike, he basically says what do you want me do, its done. We had to go through major hoops to get this re-done. The floor and wall grout doesnt match, even though the walls look a little better with the tile redone. Unreal how he thought it was fine that we were lied to and we should just go away. Its a 500$k house, so sorry if the master bath looks like a dingo did the work. Take your business elsewhere, otherwise if you screw up, theyll mock you and tell you what do you want me to do?

Not impressed with the snooty staff. I was on a phone call getting the last minute details of the job and the salesman interrupted me twice. I was the only customer in the store. Could he really not wait a minute. I am a business owner and decided to go elsewhere.
