Go elsewhere if you are doing Formica. We purchased our counter top through Home Depot. We paid for the top of the line Formica. The ideal edge is supposed to not show the brown seams and give a more solid surface type look. We looked at showroom models and really liked it. Unfortunately that is not what we got. Where the edge and the counter top met there is an obvious seam. I called Formica and sent photos. They said it was faulty installation.I called CS. They came out and told me they never do this type of counter top. (But that was never discussed when they came out to measure for ordering.) It sounded like it was my fault that they didnt know what they were doing. They said they were really busy but would call me. Didnt hear anything and now we are close to a year after installation.I called them to find out what was happening. Per my file, it had been closed out saying issue had been resolved. No...it hadnt. So he asked me what I wanted done. (They did say several times they wanted to make me happy.) I said I would pay the difference and get solid surface counter tops. He said he would check with the owner. Evidently, whatever would make me happy was just a line because pretty much the only option was to redo the edge. They did that on the island and it does look better. I had decided not to have them do the counter top that had the sink on it because it didnt look too bad and I didnt want to have my kitchen sink etc torn up. And because they said they would put some color filler on the seams. They never did put the color filler (even thoughI had given them the exact product and color that Formica had given me). Now the edge seems to be getting worse. I am going to have to pay someone to fill the seams.So basically, I was treated second class because I went through Home Depot (so they get less money than they would had I gone direct) One more thing.... I had a new Ideal Edge counter top put in my bathroom at the same time. I paid for the ideal edge. They put it on the front of the sink but not on the edge. So paid more for nothing. The whole idea behind the edge is so the corners dont have that brown seam.When I do my master bath I will go elsewhere. I am sure they wont care because it is just a small job. I would not recommend them if you arent a contractor because you are just a small fish and not worth their time.I could have gotten solid surface. I went with Formica because I prefer it. We spent close to $10K on our kitchen redo so it wasnt like we were penny pinching.

We had new countertops installed in our kitchen. The guys were very professional and very particular. The experience was wonderful and I would recommend Countertop Specialists to anyone looking for the best price too. The plumber was very professional as well. We are over the moon with our choice. Our laminate counters just got delivered today and look great. However I am very disappointed in the flexibility of their delivery times. I made it very clear that it is easier for my family to have a later afternoon delivery time, rather than the morning, which they kept insisting is the only time they had available. I live less than 5 miles from their location. Then today when they delivered our counters I was told I was their last delivery of the day, it was 10:30 in the morning.

Excellent work done by two installers here on time and in and out in less than two hours,cleaned up any mess and answered all questions, would highly recommend this company.

I had ordered cabinets from Home Depot and they are refusing to work with or even give an estimate on countertops to my wife and I. Pretty poor service and we also wanted to look at countertops since we have other cabinets that are not from Home Depot as well. Their hours are also not very flexible. They’re not open on weekends and close at 5pm during the week so this makes it difficult to even go there to look at samples. Overall they don’t have the best customer service or operating times.Edit to Owner: Your response is incorrect and false. I asked about after hours and was told that you dont do this. I was calling about additional cabinets that we had that Home Depot had no part in and you refused to even talk to me further. You did not recommend me anything and were extremely rude while on the phone. Due to your comment Im now further changing my rating.
