Stopped in for a common guitar amplifier preamp tube. Both guys working had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Like I was speaking a completely different language. I had the tube in my hand. It was clearly off their radar. They sent me to another store. Ha!
Done on time and done right, and at the quoted price! Keep up the great work?
This is my second experience here, my first one was amazing as well. However today was really nice. I brought in a guitar that needed some real TLC and they completely overwhelmed me and returned me a guitar that feels and plays like new. I dropped it off with a fantastic member of the team in the morning and was delivered it by another one in the afternoon.
I always enjoy good first time experiences at any kind of store or restaurant because I like the challenge of comparing it with future visits.Store setup is very nice! Open space is warm and welcoming. You kind of step in and just suddenly feel relaxed. A quick scan of the store will easily help you find your direction. As for me, I was hoping to find a soft gig bag for my bass and was successful in coming home with a Gator branded bag.The only thing I noticed the lack of was a wall full of guitars which we always oh and ah over every time we see them stacked three layers plus high to the ceiling. Minor difference between other music stores not worthy any star rating deduction. Friendly service with a clean store and its definitely on my list of many favorites as shown in my reviews.
I am an amateur guitar player, with little buying experience. Went to Heid Music for the first time to check inventory, and got a business card from a salesman. When I researched the models, I emailed in about 7 questions and got the answers I needed. I went back to the store about a week later and with the help of the salesman, Logan, purchased my guitar. With all the options available for buying a guitar, I was really happy that I could purchase locally with good pricing and personal service. I cannot say anything about the other departments, as I only looked at guitars and accessories.
Came in today for a guitar repair and they went above and beyond. Knowledgeable, friendly and great customer service. Even entertained my three year old by playing and showing her the inside of a piano!
First time entering a music store in probably 24 years. I was recommended to go to Heid’s by my neighbor who picked up a guitar strap about a year ago when he moved to town. I was shopping for a keyboard piano, having realized I needed a hobby. I had done some online research on brands and I wanted to shop locally. The service was great - the staff were helpful and friendly, willing to make recommendations and even picked out a bunch of beginner books for me. The package included the frame, seat, headphones, cover, pedals. I wouldn’t have even thought to buy some of these things individually. The shop was clean, well organized and brought back lots of fond memories. And I’ve been really enjoying re-remembering how to play! Thanks Heid’s! I’ll be back!
I paid almost $60 dollars for them to adjust the neck on my acoustic guitar. It plays worse now then ever. I will take it somewhere else to fix it. This is what i get for leaving Loydds Guitars. They guy is a blast from the past but knows his way around a guitar.
I rented a microphone, two speakers, a mic stand, and two speaker stands and cables from here for my wedding.First of all, the speaker cables they gave me were very short. Like, 6 feet. I returned to the store and they gave me a longer cable.Second, one of the speaker stands was busted and couldnt hold any weight. I returned it and it was repaired.Last, the mic they gave me didnt fit in the mic stand. I did not find out until about an hour before my wedding. So I had to improvise. If you ever rent speakers from here, be sure to set the entire system up at the store exactly how it will be at your event. Because whatever system they use (if any) to put items together in a rental kit doesnt make sure the items are compatible or even functioning. They also offered no reimbursement for this terrible customer service.I shouldnt have to replace 3 parts of a rental kit because they didnt check to make sure it all worked. The system itself, once it was set up, sounded fine though.
Went in to try and sell a few instruments and even though they weren’t for them, the guy that helped me was super informative and helpful. Will go back for anything I need, they were great to me.
Heid has been great for my band program! My road rep. is easy to work with and the the Green Bay store has a good inventory if I need something urgently. Very friendly, professional folks.
Im taking lessons there and its a good experience
Has a nice sized guitar and piano selection. The drum selection on the other hand is not as large. They also have a classical string section where you can try out violins or cello.
I have been getting supplies there for almost 2 decades now. Yes I may be a bit biased, however, there is a reason I continue to shop there! Good prices, great inventory, great staff!!
Bunch of prudes. Overpriced and rude. We will go out of our way to go to any other music store.
They helped me restring my guitar. Cheap and easy. Will go back.
Love this place. Great service. Wide selection of guitars and amps both vintage and new.
Scott is such a fantastic guitar teacher and I would go as far as to say one of the best in Green Bay!! As a student I would definitely say he is the best!!
Friendly and knowledgeable! Very helpful. Great quality instruments.
The staff are kind an helpful, they have a decent variety of guitars and pianos, the story looks rather pretty and nice inside! Love. Hours need updating on maps, however.
Easy to get to. Repair men were easy to understand.
Scott S has been my stepsons guitar teacher for several months now and my stepson loves his lessons !!! I never have to remind him to practice ..he has learned so much from Scott and looks forward to his lessons !! Scott has a lot of patience and a great sense of motivation..Keep up the great work Scott !!!
Horrible customer service..... I took my 15 year old son to look at a guitar and the worker I cannot remember his name and don’t care to learn it, was talking to my son and I like we know nothing about guitars so pretentious this gentleman was. My son is a savant and knows a lot more about guitars than their specialist. He got offended when my son called him out on his lack of knowledge of guitars and we decided to leave and go to Jim’s... never again will I step one foot in this establishment....
I instructors have enough been great for my son and myself.
Picked up a good usb recording microphone for a decent price. Quality products!
We have been purchasing items and taking lessons here for almost 15 years. Prices are good and the staff is knowledgeable.
