I went there back in June of 2020 to get a new mounting for my wife’s engagement ring. Real nice people it was husband and wife the owners. They asked why I never got my ring there in the first place when I bought it, and that if I had bought there I would not be having issues with it. I spend about 3K to fix her wending band and get the new mounting for the engagement ring. Everything is good and happy.Fast forward to July 2021 and the mounting has a diamond that fell out. My wife goes to the store and there is a manager now. He states he has no record of our purchase, that they don’t keep receipts and she would need to produce one. He also states that either way there is no warranty. I find this unbelievable since I was sold on the service they would provide. Pretty convenient that they can’t find the receipt since I paid in cash, I own a business and the IRS requires me to save them for 7 years.We got the ring fixed, paid $233. Was told that’s the price. I hope it’s worth it to lose a customer over this! Best of luck, avoid this place!!

My personal experience with these jewelers turned out as a pleasant one. Happened to walk in on a Wednesday before a closed Thursday due to a Jewish holiday. The bracelet repair completed on a Saturday. Customer here without a single complaint about the extended wait! Reason: I came in right before closing on that Wednesday. The store was closed on a Friday due to a family emergency. Their was a printed posted sign on the front door indicating as much. Received the repair completion notification and walked out with a satisfied aura! A very professional establishment.

I see I’m not the only one that bought a wedding ring here who’s diamond just completely fell off the mount, that should tell you enough. When I finally made the far trip back to show them the wedding ring that I had for LESS than two years with the missing diamond, the man working there could literally care less. Not even an apology or the slightest courtesy, and especially not a discount or any help offered. These people not only have terrible quality of jewelry (especially wedding rings) but they do not respect peoples hard earned money or care for customer service. I guess they figured I would just dish out another few grand like nothing, just to have the diamond fall back out as this gentleman’s review below me. Spend the money and go to a real jewelry store trust me.

This review is long overdue. I went to Jewelry Depot to fix a few eyeglass frames and a little girls earring (a family heirloom passed down to my daughter). I walked in there with my rambunctious kids and these folks were super nice -- great customer service. They went obove and beyond to fix the earrings. This place has really nice jewelry and great repair work as well. I will definitely be back.

My goodness, where to start with Jewelry Depot...they are fantastic! I first went to Jewelry Depot over ten years ago when buying an engagement and wedding ring for my wife, after hearing a glowing endorsement from a radio personality; beautiful ring!The best part is the customer service from Ted (owner) and Lillian (so sweet and attentive.) I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Jewelry Depot if you are interested in buying a ring, earrings, necklace, watch, etc.We have returned to Jewelry Depot several times since that first visit to purchase other jewelry. The owner, Ted, and his wife, are just amazing people. I first went to them 10 years ago for wedding rings. I went there a year later for a single diamond. I couldnt be happier with the purchases. I just recently drove 2.5 hours to visit them again. Ted remembered who I was and as usual, he and his wife were so helpful. I drove all the way over there, for two reasons; (1) he is the MOST honest and decent jeweler you will ever have the luck of finding; and (2) he and his wife are truly amazing people. The owners and staff were all incredibly nice, helpful, and knowledgeable when I went in to buy a necklace for my girlfriend. The store is so large I didnt really know where to begin, but they helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The prices and quality were better than any of the little shops I had looked at before and my girlfriend loved the necklace. The only good thing about this place the battery replacement or removing links from your chain. other than that, they rip you off with prices and do not guarantee their prices. They sell their gold at a .27 / .37 higher rate than any other jewelry firm. Which means, if you purchase an Chain for 1,800, it is worst $700. Please tell me that not a rip off? It’s disgusting. Another reason he had to move locations. This location will be shut Down soon. Do not buy a watch from him, it’s a scam.

Incredible Experience !!! With Ted/Jessica/ Lilian and everybody at Jewelry Depot. I came last year in August 2016 with my Fiance and bought a ring from the sweetest, cutest gal, Jessica. She assisted us every step of the way. She put my diamond on hold and made sure it was there when we picked we picked it up. Fast forward to now, we are getting closer to our wedding day and we just bought my custom fit wedding band from Jewelry Depot. My finger size is freakishly small, so it took them a lot of work to resize it and custom fit it to just how I specifically liked it. This place is a rip off! I went in to see how much it would be to replace a few prongs on my ring and was given a quote of $600! Walked into Zales and they fixed my ring for $140! Best prices? I don’t think so.... and they were pushy trying to get me to just replace my band all together instead of getting it fixed and was trying to tell me what I should like which is a thicker band, I had to get very snappy and firm that I hated thick bands and repeat myself over and over again.....which is why I wanted mine fixed.... I will never attempt to go to this place again!

The place is big. They are NOT in Oakwood Plaza any longer, Google - they moved to Hallandale.The prices are average, definitely not the best around.And don’t expect a friendly treatment. They will “smile”, of course... and try to rip you off anyway.I won’t return there.

I lost a cotter pin for the band in my watch and usually do this myself. Knowing this is a very inexpensive item can be purchased online for about .05 I went to buy and check out the store while I was at it. They found pin that matched and I had a dollar in hand thinking that should be plenty and lady said that will be $5.30 with tax! I smiled and said your kidding ... they werent. I needed the pin asap so paid but the fact that they felt the need to charge 10,000% over what normal pricing tells me what kind of place this is and will never pass through their doors again. Being in business and dealing with businesses for many years and all I will say is beware of this establishment.

I am a regular customer for any jewelry repair I need. Recently, i had to take some rings and bracelet that belonged to my mother who just passed. The bracelet, i was sure was unfixable. Not only was the bracelet repaired but i couldnt even tell where it was almost completely broken off.The diamond rings i asked them to repair and size up for me was completely beyond my expectations. I ONLY use this jeweler and now i own some of the custom pieces from Ted and I absolutely LOVE THEM!!Thank you again for doing such a wonderful job on my late mothers jewelry.

My mother passed away unexpectedly leaving a store credit of $222.16 with the Jewelry Depot. The original credit was issued on 8/12/16, to expire in one year. As executor of her estate, I contacted the store 2 weeks ago, however I was told to call back to speak with the manager. I called again today and was abruptly told the credit had expired. No condolences and without even a return call from the manager. For a family owned business, the Back family should ashamed of themselves. To not extend a credit under these circumstances is beyond disappointing.

A little over a month ago, I bought a engagement ring from a here, Jewelry depot. When I first started looking for a ring, I went to multiple brand name jewelry stores such as Key Jewelers, Jareds, Mayors,etc. At first, their rings looked like a great deal. The rings they were showing me were not certified though and the one´s that were certified were very pricey. I wanted a ring that had pretty good quality in all four C´s and to get that I would have had to go over my budget by half as much than I wanted to. After being unsatisfied with the brand stores, I start looking at rings that private jewelry stores were selling from Miami to West Palm Beach. I narrowed where I would by the ring for my now fiancé to Jewelry depot. One of the main reasons I narrowed my selection to this store was first, they offer quality customer care. Second, they have a variety of inventory from ring sizes and types to different styles of diamonds. And most importantly, they offered certified diamonds. What I liked most that no other store offered including the big brand name stores was instead of looking at the diamond through a magnifying glass or basic microscope, they had very advanced technology that allowed you to see the diamond and its engraving using a digital microscope that projected the diamond onto the computer screen. Also, they used an electric precious metal analyzer that told you right then and there what the percentage of the purities were. In the end, I was able to get a certified GIA ring with the same quality that a jewelry store like Mayors would have and it cost me half the price I would have paid anywhere else. And the Love of my life said Yes!!

My husband went there to sell/appraise a pair of diamond earrings to them. We had gotten them appraised before by 2 jewelers but they suggested that we shop around to someone else who sells diamonds to see what they say. My husband said as soon as he saw the man who appraises them he saw the jewelry he immediately said they were fake by looking at them. Mind you I had two jewelers say they were real and one of them actually used the electronic gun to test that they were real gold and real diamonds. Yet he said that the diamonds werent real and that the gold was only 10K which we got two places to tell us that the gold was 14kl. He only offered half the cash amount of what two other places offered. My husband was completely insulted. Of course he walked out to never return again. And now that this has happened I do remember that I took some scrap gold to them a year ago and they offered about $200 for everything, I then went to a jeweler in Miami Lakes/Hialeah and they offered us over $300 for everything. They rip you off like theyre a pawn shop, I suggest if youre going to sell gold there, this isnt the place.

This place is garbage. My fiancée walked in there this week wearing her brand new engagement ring, which was purchased from a reputable jeweler/gemologist in Fort Lauderdale and was appraised at a high value) and some person who works at this place told her the ring was worth half of the appraisal price. This person was not a gemologist and was clearly trying to convince my fiancée to return the ring and buy, instead, with them. Not only is that completely unprofessional, but its pathetic. Stay away from this place.

I was treated very bad at this place by a girl that works there. I was trying on a rolex watch, I had it on my wrist and I was liking the watch a lot and I went to show it to my girlfriend who was also there getting her rolex watch adjusted.. At the same time the rude girl that works there said to me.. Can I see the watch?so I took it off my wrist and gave it to her and I thought to my self why did she asked me for the watch? To my surprise, she actually took the watch back and put it back to the original display behind the counter.I felt totally disrespected.. maybe she thought I couldnt afford the watch? I dont know.. but she totally ruined the sale.. I was actually going to buy the watch.. oh well I will go somewhere else or bought it from an online jewelery store like my friend did.I will not recommend this place to anybody.

I purchased my wedding band there and after getting home found the exact band online for substantially less. I also realized that the ring really didnt fit so I went to return it since the sales person mentioned a 30 day return policy when we purchased but they would only offer a store credit. So I decided to shop for another ring and found one I liked and it was $150 less, they would only give a store credit for the difference as well. Getting frustrated I decided to use the credit toward resetting my wifes engagement ring since we purchased a wedding band/engagement ring set online and they would not apply the credit to the work either. We needed to use the credit on another purchase. Needless to say I have never dealt with a retailer with such poor customer service and the owners husband actually verbally assalted our sales person in front of us when she said they would apply the credit to the resetting. I felt terrible for her. I would never go back to this store and better deals can be found elsewhere with more upstanding retailers. Buyer beware.

Braught watches to have batteries changed and a repair. Was a charge for a repair that they did not do, in fact the band was more loose than when I first brought it in. They charged me for a cleaning with the watches never needed because they were ceramic watches and were in perfect condition. Last time I come to jewelry Depot in Oakwood Plaza.

I purchased a $4,000.00 Engagement ring from here about two months ago. I was Happy enough to go back and get my ring there. That was my first mistake. I told the women at the counter that I saw a ring that I kinda liked but that I was flying to NYC to see my Moms Jeweler. I asked her if she could hold the ring for me? She said sure but I needed to leave a deposit. So when I went back a week later she said I could not have my deposit (That Was in cash) back, that I had to use it toward something in the store. So I decided to speak to the manager, I explained to him how I just had Spent $4,000.00 with him close to two months ago and that if he didnt return my $60.00 back I would never come back. He said than dont!Thats just bad business practice here I am within a two month time from spending countless hard earned dollars with this place and all there concerned about is $60.00 dollars.I dont reccommend this Sleezy Raquet to anyone... and advise all to go to a real Jeweler with morals.P.S. Everytime I walk in there one of there emloyees is always eating pasta and slurping it through their trap in the middle of the Sales Floor. Discusting!

Customer service is ridiculous. I ask for a expert jewelers opinion on an item history. Said she didnt know. Then kept insisting that it wasnt worth much they wouldnt take it. I specifically kept telling them I wasnt there for sale, I just wanted a history on the item. Then they rudely dismissed me. Just terrible greedy people. I advice not to shop here for that matter.

If you are going to close on a weekday you should likely put a notification on your website so people dont have to drive there to find out
