Seems like everytime i go there i find something new for a dollar. From car fluids to cellphone holders, kitcchen cleaning items, flossing and portable lunch bowls. It needs more cashiers though and bigger freezer Iike some other ones.

Awesome, but the lines can be very long and usually only one register open.

I love this location because it is always neat, clean and the prices are always G R E A T. The only issue I have is there arent enough people (staff) to cover the registers. It seems as though everytime I go to this location there is ONLY one person at the register and 20 people in 1 asile waiting to be checked out.Again, outside of the long wait for a register, the staff are nice and pleasant, the store is always clean, they have great products, and prices are always amazing.You could never go wrong visiting thisDollar Tree 💵🌳

I have walked in and right out of this store several times lately. One cashier doesnt understand how to wear a mask. Hers is constantly slipping past onto her chin. It has been over a year, we should all have well fitting masks by now. Yes, some good deals as with all dollar stores. But shelves are often empty. I have seen much better dollar stores.

You know, I put off this review in hopes that this Dollar Tree would get it together. Before the pandemic it was cluttered with unpacked boxes, the workers just didnt seem to care, and management was a joke. Maaaaan did they do a whole 180. The store is literally always stocked, very clean, not cluttered at all anymore, and the workers seem much happier to be there. This has become my favorite Dollar Tree. Fantastic job

I love this Dollar Store because they got a lot of good stuff you can buy. I go here on the 1st of every month. The manger and staff are nice and friendly. If i can complain about 1 little thing i would say. They need to stock the shelves the night before they go home so everything can be done before the customers get there. The 2nd thing i would complain about is that they should have all the registered open.

I generally like Dollar Tree, but the lines in Hamden are horrific. It is hands down worse than going to the DMV. Any other store you go to has lines that move at an almost steady pace. This one you have to be ready to age a few years.Walking in to seeing 10-15 people waiting in line and only one register open is normal. Even worse on holidays. I refuse to get holiday supplies there for that reason alone.Besides that, they have some cool stuff for only a buck.

This is truly a terrible place to shop. Stopped by yesterday and found the whole store in disarray. What are they thinking? Product bags ripped open, shelves emptied or products looked like they were just tossed about. Do not go there!! Very very dirty. Deserves 0 stars!!

I’m standing in line Valentine’s Day and yes it’s crazy what I don’t understand is where is management??? How is there only one person at the register with a line wrapped around into the seasonal section. One person doing balloons and not one manager in sight helping the employees out smh can someone please show this man how to run a store ???! Not once did any of these associates get checked on

If I could give a zero rating I would. In 2017 the store has degenerated into a health hazard and a customer waste of time. Health hazard: the store is filthy from the floors, the windows, the shelves, the checkout counters. The last time I was there the shelves contents were 25%-50% with many empty shelves. There are always items in the wrong places which I can understand if customers put things back where ever they wish to. There are many items that should be sealed that are scattered on shelves opened and in some cases contents laying around. But the filth is the big DO NOT SHOP HERE for me. In one corner towards the front right there were miscellaneous dirty mops and brooms leaning against the wall. It is a wonder the Health Dept. or the appropriate department in Connecticut hasnt fined or closed the place down. Management is clearly lacking. Standing in line when there is only one check out person is the least of the problems.

This dollar tree is by far the worse one I’ve ever been to. Extremely dirty, smells bad and forget about having much on the shelves. Shelves are usually pretty empty no matter the day or time.I was so disgusted, even their key pad to enter the pin was so dirty you could barely see the numbers! I used my pen that later discarded for imputing my pin. I’d rather travel to Wallingford’s dollar tree.Always one register open with very long line. I don’t know how in the world this dollar tree is still in business.

Not a model store, but nice and clean. As always, great Dollar Tree bargains.Also, lots of parking with many other businesses near by.

Very popular place cant keep shelves stocked

John the store manager is such a great guy he is very kind and hardworking. Hes tough but he gets the job done I have been shopping in hamden for over 7 years it never looked as good till he cleaned house..hamden is a very tough store the customers are rude and nasty I have witnessed some really mean customers but he holds his ground and professionalism well. The carpets are terrible but Im sure thats corporate not store level.. other than that. Great job!!!!!!!!!

This location is filthy, understocked, leaves inventory on the floor and gives customers their purchased items in garbage bags. The male cashier(s) had an inappropriate conversation with me while I was trying to check out- almost as if he was angry with all women in the world! The manager walks around as if could care less. The parking area has several homeless people that harass customers outside of store and in parking area. Do yourself a favor and find a better Dollar Tree to patronize...

Wow! I just looked at a few reviews from months ago and cant believe that I went today and agree 100% what the others have posted. This is by far the dirtiest Dollar Tree Ive been to. Rugs! Wow! Im sure if I had looked closer at other areas they wouldve been just as bad. Half the shelves were still empty....and people have been commenting about this! I do have to say the cashier was friendly! But unfortunately, will definitely not be returning to this location!

This location is so bad actually called corporate. The store itself is very dirty and dim lit. The shelves are often unbelievably messy and sometimes completely empty. There are often products strown all over the floor, food expiration dates are often expired and it seems there are is always only one register open. It is hit or miss with a friendly or rude staff member. Some will smile and be friendly and others are extremely rude, unprofessional, unfriendly, and seem as though you are inconveniencing them by even being there. This location needs an incredible overhaul!! I highly recommend only going here if absolutely necessary and instead going to the one on Universal in North Haven. Its only 5 to 10 minutes away for an extremely different experience.

Some of the staff act like theyre mad because they work there...dont seem to like being asked if they have this or that or if they have bigger bags for larger purchases: No large bags;buy a bunch of stuff & youll end up carryinga bunch of those thin cheap bags like you would carry a baby...better run to your car before they bust openbecause you cant push them to your car in a cart. Low stock. Shelves always look like they just had a going out of business sale.Oh well...😕

Probably the worst Dollar Tree Ive ever seen. Its dirty looking and never seems to have the items Im looking for. Theres no refrigerated/freezer section. Employees look miserable. Shut this location down or renovate it and hire all new staff. I will avoid this location until that is done.

The Hamden Dollar Tree needs to be shut down! The floor is dirty, worn, & disgusting which tells me the franchise doesnt care about its customers. The store manager stands at the register playing on his phone & when I asked a question, he was very non-chalant about my concerns. He needs to make sure the customers doesnt hear him cursing. I travel all the way to Cheshire because the store is clean, staff is friendly and it is always well-stocked. #DoBetterHamden

Listed online as opening at 8am, yet they dont open until 9am. Had to wait for ages. Fix your hours.
