Update: It has been 2 months since my last rating. I wake up on the weekends having the most intense desire for breakfast now. We have been going every weekend for 2 months now and I cant nor wont stop coming to Flakey Cream. The staff are so kind and helpful. Their food is still wonderful. Im a very happy camper to have found this gem

I swear I have overlooked this place so many times and Im glad I finally went today. Reasonable in price, great portions, and delicious food. The donuts are also to die for. Staff were super friendly and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend
We were stopping by on our way up to northern CA. Mike, who is partially-retired owner, greeted us and was so friendly! The server was also a delight. Food was good (not greasy which was a great surprise!) Donuts were even better!
Terrible go to mcdonalds better. service bad food bad but the presentation was good but i dont care about that. Even the seating is low budget

They have nice looking pastries, food was good but waited over 20 minutes for my meal and then my hash browns were missing. Also had to flag down a waitress to get silverware. Almond latte, pancakes and aforementioned hash browns and veggie benedict were yummy. Had to take off two stars because of wait time, disorganized staff running all over the place, and the fact they didnt seem to be sanitizing tables between customers and were touching used dishes and then touching peoples plates. I might just go with getting pastries and coffee here and go elsewhere for a sit down breakfast.

Nice people running the place. VERY unorganized service. Waitresses running around taking orders from people who just sat down while other who were waiting are left to wait more. FLIES all inside the restaurant very annoying and unsanitary. Good food when you get it.

A real hole in the wall diner. As authentic as it gets. Sweet servers. I got donut and it was excellent. Everyone got a big egg and or gravy biscuit biscuit breky. Delish

Service was not good we asked for refill on coffee they brought the bill, the French toast was so plain even the syrup. The place was too crowded and the food was so bland. I expected more from the previous reviews never coming back here again
Its nice that they sell apple fritters smaller than dinner plates so you dont feel like you are going to explode your heart finishing one of them.

Normally we like this place but they really let us down today. We waited for over a half hour for our food, when there was only three tables in front of us. We asked several times where our food was, they lied saying they were plating it right now and it would just be out. Then another ten mins go by with no food. We asked again they then said they didnt know what happened to our food. We ended up leaving paying for our drinks, they did nothing to make it right. We left hungry and very, very dissapointed. Not sure if well be back after that. Others there too were also very unhappy. I understand mistakes happen but they didnt do anything to make it right.

Really cool place. Got there early in the morning on a weekday. Had a nice breakfast scramble. Service was perfect. All in all a great experience. Ill be back!

Ordered country gravy chicken. It was bitter. I had to throw it away and wipe my young with a napkin to get rid of the gross flavor. I hope I don’t get sick from it. GrosssssssNote to self, don’t order American food from asian place.
I adore the authentic diner atmosphere of flakey cream. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. They also have the best dang cruller I’ve ever tasted in my life.
Terrible service.We went in for breakfast, we were told to wait. Then another family walked right in and took the table that was supposed to be ours...We were redirected to another table. Which is fine.Our order was taken after 15min of sitting we asked for some donut holes to start out.She brought the donut holes 30 min after sitting down!!At this point two other families had sat and gotten their food ordered and delivered to table 😑😑Im not one to complain but seriously?? People are coming to your place to eat not sit and look at other people eat.If youre looking to go here, go towards the end of breakfast rush else you might be screwed.

This is a nice diner that has all the options youd expect. Food was good, service was excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed. They also have donuts that looked really good but I didnt eat any of those.
My favorite spot for breakfast in town! This is a great greasy spoon American-style breakfast place. I love their Popeye omelet and Healthy Choice breakfast sandwich. They also make yummy donuts (try the bear claw). The restaurant is small and quickly becomes very crowded on weekend mornings. I really enjoy dinning in, as there is a locals vibe and the motif is outdated and kinda funky, just my style! The waitresses are super friendly and accommodating. Theyve been open forever and I hope they stay open forevermore.

French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon plus coffee tasted the same as it did 40+ years ago. I didnt get any donuts though as it looked like their supply was already depleted today.They apparently had some issues that were publicized a few months back and had to close for a short time to address them.If they dont keep up with the cleaning aspect of the place, ESPECIALLY THE FLOORS, theyre going to have the same issues as before and probably end up closing for good after that.

We were passing thru from Mendocino. Googled this spot and was stoked with quality of the food. The chicken fried steak, poached eggs and biscuits and gravy was tasty and generous portions.

Best waffle Ive.had in a loooong time. I highly suggest it. It was fluffy but not too doughy, almost custard like...it maybe that was from all of the syrup I usually add. Either way, next time I want a waffle I know where Im going.

This is the place in healdsburg for a true hearty breakfast. The chicken fried steak is absolutely amazing and Ive gone back for it numerous times. They are cooking and serving dishes they way a diner should be. Full of flavor, without all the fluff and over-priced bs that some of the other places around the area offer. The donut holes are some of the best Ive had, and I hope to try a little bit of everything on the menu at some point.
I love this little bakery shop. The food is great and the donuts are light and delicious. Down to earth in trendy healdsburg. Highly recommend!

Good traditional American breakfast! One of the owners comes around and serves you coffee and the wait staff is really on it! We had 3 different servers come around and help us at various times. Flaky cream is highly recommended!

Doughnuts are pretty good. The breakfasts are incredible. Chorizo Benedict and homemade corned beef hash were both excellent and the portions were generous

Good, solid breakfast food. Runs out of donuts by 10, so by the time we got there, around 11:30am, they said theyve been out for a while, so that kind of sucked.
The corn beef eggs benedict will make you believe in a better day. the donuts and coffee arent bad either.

Flakey Cream is an small town local favorite. The restaurant has been there since I can remember. Every time we go in, we reminice about how when we were kids wed walk to the front window that was the whole width of the restaurant and choose which donut we wanted. Their BearClaws are awesome. Their breakfasts are delicous! If you eat lunch at a regular time, then you can enjoy their lunch menu too

Its got a nice mom & pops diner atmosphere. One of those long and narrow restaurants in terms of looks with tasty sandwiches for lunch and equally as scrumptious eggs & the likes for breakfast.
I used to go here with my great grandma and now I come with my wife. Ive been coming here for 30 years and I still love the food and the people.
