Great eatery for quality sandwiches, breakfast bagels and coffee. The dining space and decor is very coffee shop cozy, warm and inviting, while the outdoor curbside tables & shade umbrellas have that classic cafe feel. Delicious food, delightful friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Downtown Deli & Coffee Company is a true jewel of Hemet. I wish they were in business when I was growing up here but as and adult I can appreciate this business more. I am glad theyre still open, which is a testament to this business. May you have many more years of joyful success and prosperity!

The meatball and cheese sandwich is to die for. Its amazing. All their food has been authentic but if u like meatball sandwiches this is it. Its toasted just perfect and melts in your mouth.

Had to make sure I was still in the same dimension. Spacious it is and the lounge areas are cozy and charming. This is how a coffee house should be illuminated. Bravo!How about the goods you ask? Well, this is not just a coffee house but they also specialize in deli sandwiches. Nomz!Unfortunately I wasnt there long enough to sample their appetizing menu. But I did get to savor a hazelnut latte with soy milk and an oh so delectable vegan chocolate cupcake.Happy as a clam I was! Great brew, delicious cupcake and the atmosphere had home written all over it.Looking forward to doing another expedition to Hemet just to visit this place again.Yes. Its that remarkable.

Portions were great. More importantly, the ingredients are fresh! I tried this place for the first time about a week ago. The baked products are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. Cant wait until they reopen the inside. Looks like a great place to just relax and have a bite.

This place is pretty amazing! The location is great and easy to find. The decorations are beautiful inside and out! The menu is extensive, they even have daily/weekly specials. I took a picture of specific coffee beans they have because it was interesting to see a local joint actually have locally produced coffee beans! I loved the setting. It was very comforting and relaxed. The ambience was great! Definitely a place I will be coming to more often! The only thing I didnt like is that they dont accept American Express but I didnt subtract any stars because its something easy to get passed. The staff was extremely friendly and you couldnt ask for better customer service from them! I had their Harvard District Salad and Cafe Mocha (Hot), and the salad was crisp and refreshing and the coffee was smooth! Love this place!

Awesome little gem on Harvard. Great coffee selections and yummy sandwiches and salads. Great place for a light weekend lunch (or you can just enjoy a coffee and a book). There is a shelf of donated books you can read and even take home if you wish. Staff is very friendly and establishment is very clean.

Today I had the best salad ever! I ordered the Autumn salad which had an abundant amount of chicken, walnuts, cranberries, apples and oranges. It was delicious and I highly recommend it if youre a salad lover. I will definitely be ordering it again.

Unprofessional sandwich makers, that seem to never have been trained properly. Talking back to guest like Chris (the sandwich maker) Dont recommend it if youre a vegetarian. Since the new staff, this location has gone downhill. No experience in the hospitality industry. Just a bunch of kids.

Downtown Deli is always top notch. The portions are satisfying, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is delicious. I will always go there, and I highly recommend others go there too.

The Sandwiches are good but for the price$$ when you order a delivery its hardly ever complete. I ordered a french dip and did not have the dip with it. I called them and Chris the MANAGER lol told me come pick it up😈 lol lol lol. If I wanted to pick up I would have not ordered a delivery. He did not even show that he cared or sorry or said lets see how we can fix this. I said dont you know anything about customer Svc? His answer... dont know what cs is but abviously you do. That was his answer. For a $14 sandwiches he should appreciate his customer not try to intimidate them by answers like this. It was my first time. (During covid season). It was pretty busy! And I wasnt surprised as to why after I had my first bite of my meal. It was delicious and we got it really quick. There was no indoor seating but there are a few tables outside. Staff was friendly and all were wearing masks properly. I had no complaints.

Great ambiance and style! Super deluxe feeling. Friendly staff. And.... CLEAN!Would love to be able to enjoy a glass of wine here and listen to a live band. (Maybe a thought for future to get a wine license?)The music is easy going and sometimes upbeat. Great for swooning, talking or just to lounge. There are some faux fireplaces, lots of photos (historical artifacts) and plenty of seating. Shelves full with books and some armoirs that house books as well. It creates a nice look. Sofas, chairs and barstools. We will for sure return! 👌P.s. superclean restrooms!!!Plenty parking as well.

We usually like to come here when we are in the mood for a sandwich. The coffees are pretty good and the sandwiches are fresh. Today our order took at least 30-40 minutes. Ordered a wrap, a sandwich, a salad and a couple of drinks. In the middle of my card transaction the woman left and handed us off to a young man, but she didn’t bother to relay the order to the young man. So after we got food we still had to wait for our drinks cause the young man didn’t realize we had a drink order as well, which was not his fault and we really weren’t upset about the long wait. So we get home to enjoy the food and everything is good, but my salad is missing one of the main ingredients (mandarin oranges). I really don’t mind a long wait, but the order should be correct at that point especially when I spent $47, I honestly may not go back.

This place is fantastic. Food is awesome,and the staff are amazingly nice. I have been here 2 times and plan on coming back anytime I am in the area. Atmosphere is wonderful and feels like you are having lunch with friends in your living room.

I have not had an Italian sub this good since 2000. That was when I let the north end in Boston, MA. Everything is fresh, from the bread, meat, and veggies. Right through to the atmosphere. I will go back weekly. And so will my crew.

The sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Theyre made very well. I also tried their clam chowder but it tasted funny, so I didnt eat it. Not sure if it was an ingredient they used or something was bad in it.

The employees are really nice. With Covid and new regulations they can only have 6 guests in the building at a time. You have to wait outside if theyre at capacity. Its understandable, theyre following the rules and want to stay open. If you go please be respectful. Theyre a small business that has good food and drinks, and the atmosphere is very aesthetic.

Just ordered the New Yorker.. didnt know if it was a hot sandwich, it is! (Forgot to bring my reading glasses in) Was asked what kinda bread Id like it on, I said, which do you prefer? Neither the clerk or the guy making the sandwich ever had one so they couldnt say?? So I said Sourdough... Mistake! Shoulda said Rye.. SD should not be an option IMO, overall Im almost satisfied, and think the owner should make sure you have your employees (over time) sample all the menu items..So they can give a valid response to related questions.☺️Pepperoni were old tasting and hard, and only half a pickle?? Youd think for an $11.80 OTD sandwich youd get a whole pickle 🤔

This place is horrible at knowing how to take orders down. The young lady I had greet me at the register was polite and helpful; however whoever is making sandwiches back there did not know what they were doing. I asked if it was possible to have the veggie ultimate with added chicken breast. The cashier said yes though had to ask the giy in the back how to charge it. I asked for a foot long and not was I only charged $24+ for both sandwiches (which is completely ridiculous) but they served the sandwich on a regular piece of toast which aparently they call artisan but was left with all the ultimate vegies out like the sprouts and AVOCADO! The taste in the sandwich was good and fresh but will definitley never be going back to get ripped off again.

Amazing food and great service every time i stop by. It may cost a bit more than some other sandwich shops in town but believe me, IT IS WORTH IT! Ruined me for the other sandwich chains. The bread was fresh and none of the veggies or meats on my sandwich had the this product has been sitting in a bin, in the back of the fridge, for two weeks taste offered by other shops in town. If you havent tried it, i highly recommend you give them a shot. Be prepared for a bit of a wait time as they are very popular, not because of slow service.

The sandwiches were great we loved them but was very pricey I was charged over 50 dlrs for 4 sandwiches and 4 sml drinks and order a bowl of soup separately and this is what we got. Dont think well be going back at least not for a while .

I also had their Lemonberry smoothie, which was amazing! I heard one of the owners passed. My condolences to the owner & his family.

The one star is for customer service only. Ordered the chicken noodle soup today; which generay is always good. Today, it had so much salt in it I couldnt eat it otherwise Id have a stroke. Totally, disappointed...never returning. Of the 6 times I have ordered this soup, 4 times have been WAY to salty. Not risking it anymore.

Always a pleasure coming here, reminds me of the coffee shop on Friends. Very casual and comfortable, with a variety of seating choices: couches, regular chairs, stools and a long bench against the wall with pillows all with tables. Food is fresh, made to order with high quality ingredients. They even have plenty of books to choose from should you want to stay awhile. Can get very busy at lunch, but dont let the line fool you, they are fairly quick getting orders out. My dilemma is whether to get a large sandwich or a regular to save room for a brownie or cookie!

Try the Harvard Street Special latte. Its delicious.
