I came to this diner for the first time and my experience was not good.I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and when it came out it was cold, the cheese was congealed as if it was sitting around, the chicken was regular not buffalo and it was FILLED with tomatoes. I was not happy and when I told the waiter he got annoyed at me while I was explaining my various issues . I had to order a different wrap which was much better. The cole slaw that was brought out to our table was warm and had a pool of mayonnaise . It smelled so bad that we had to ask the waiter to take it away.
I looked up the reviews before ordering and I’m so disappointed. Burger was completely soggy. The bread was just brown & wet. Wrap came with rice instead of fries. Asked for the dressing on the side so the wrap wouldn’t get soggy & it was a soggy mess. The onion rings were soggy & the fries weren’t even cooked 😭 such a bummer. $75 order and nothing was good. The picture posted is the burger bun. It looked like brown gravy but it was just the soggy greasy bun.
I am a local and been going to this diner forever and my experience has always been a good one until I last went and saw Fox on the tv! The division this station has caused in our country is undeniable because of a constant stream of lies and opinions against America and it’s citizens for this reason I will never patronize the diner again! I don’t care to hear this nonsense while trying to enjoy a meal and many feel the same…keep it light!

Local place, always seats available, everyone says hello, orders taken quickly and food arrives just as quickly and hot. And good coffee and plenty of it too.
Went in for breakfast for the first time recently. The wait staff was super kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. I had an omelet and my fiancé had the chocolate pancakes. Will definitely be going again.

The joint is always jumping and you know what that means...good food, good staff and a good time. Just because its a diner doesnt mean there is any love lost! This is my do I want breakfast for dinner or dessert for breakfast spot! Hours are great, tons of tables and a clean environment. Will always be one of my favorite spots!
Excellent service, fast service. Great,extremely large menu both size and selections. They have everything for all tastes.House salad, Matzah soup,Stuffed Mushrooms with krabmeat stuffing to begin..Opened face Turkey dinner, Broiled Salmon, Cheese Burger and fries.Checker Board cake for dessert.Highly recommend this very busy, clean diner that was FULLY STAFFED, or just run well. Moving people in and out. Or sit a chat. Your choice..David our waiter gets 20 Stars for being on top of everything and making sure we had what we needed and cleaned the table quickly as we finished each dish. Great job David.Very well run business.

I used to order from this diner when I used doordash. Their food is very good. I now only order through grubhub and this diner is on grubhub, but they never deliver, always says the place is closed when I know its not. I dont understand. This is very frustrating. I guess Ill have to start ordering from another diner.

My wife and I are celebrating our 45th anniversary this weekend.We thought, lets go out for brunch Sunday.The diner down the road was packed.My wife says,How about the one in Holbrook? Awesome! Wed been by there many times and always said, Lets go there sometime.We went in and an area was being cleared and ready for us.A very warm and friendly staff and great food will be how we remember The Holbrook Diner!!

Always been one of my favorites. Total historic main Street Holbrook diner. Been eating there for over 40 years. As a child I ate there, as an adult I still eat there. Great service great staff never messed up in order in the last 40 years. Food is always fresh prices are always surprising when you get to the register . I always think they forget to charge me for something and say something and they tell me no thats it. An entire dinner for $22. Cooked however I want it. Its just owned by great people.

Most restaurants that I have been to usually have take-out and this place was no exception. When you get take-out from here, the food is overabundance and not portion controlled as in other restaurants that I have visited. The food is excellent, the staff was friendly and the wait time was minimal. Definitely a place to come back to time after time again.
Been coming here with my friends for a few years- it’s always very good. The management are always friendly, the staff are amazing, it’s super clean, and the food is always so good. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious.The chocolate pudding is amazing too!
This is the closest diner to where I live, but I would probably go to another diner. Its a place I want to love but it doesnt seem to ever quite get there. Most of the time its ok, but we have had issues here or there. The staff is always nice.

One of my favorite diners. The food is good and plentiful but most importantly staff is super nice. In the midst of all the craziness, they are taking every precaution in cleaning and sanitizing the place. So that makes it even better for us. Highly recommend

Overall a very good place to stop and get a bite to eat. Service is great and very fast. The food is very good. I come here at least twice a week with my family and the owners treat us like family. When I go to the Holbrook Diner I get a cheeseburger deluxe and it has never been the wrong thing. The french fries are always cooked to perfection. I have been going here for 10 years. I love the owners like family and I definitely recommend this restaurant
I went to visit my son in long island. Arrived late in the evening and needed to sit somewhere for dinner and catchup with my college going student. Somewhere safe during this covid-19 pandemic.My son searched on line and suggested to checkout Holbrook Diner. I know nothing about dining in NewYork. I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the food. Large, actually HUGE servings of excellent Italian food. Tasty, flavorful and the price not so bad.I give a 4star, should really be a 5 star, but they did not have something I really wanted and listed in the Menu. Afterall we were about the last diners for the evening.Excellent service and everything all round.
Not a fan. Very expensive not the best food. I wont be going there again anytime soon.in reply to owners comments.i called the dinner because what i ordered seems very expensive for what i got. i got a phone call right back from the owner. we together figured out i had been over changed. it happens.. even with what it should have cost it was very expensive based on other dinners in the area. i was never offered a refund or even a well take care of you on your next meal. nothing.. now how you run a local business. again wont be going back there.

I had a good sandwich for lunch, roast beef panini. Everything was fresh, the meat was tender and delicious. Everyone at the table was happy with their meal. The service was friendly and attentive. I had not been here for a number of years and was reminded that this is a good place to come to when I am in this area. Definitely recommend trying it out for a satisfying, simple meal.

I think they are unaware of the current 50% capacity rule because of corona virus. It was packed and almost every table and booth was occupied. The food was ok.
The diner is got really good tasting food to start with..the service is awesome. FriendlyAnd attentive. Ive been going there for years and everything I have ordered is great. The portions are big so you can get 2 meals out of it..if you choose to take home the leftOvers, if you dont finish your meal. I look forward to going there..its a 10 in my book!
DO NOT GET TAKE OUT! Went there twice for take out. They messed the orders both times. First time I drove back bc they forgot some of the order and made it wrong. After I got the food “fixed” started to drive back home. Checked the food and realized they screwed it up again....Tried take out again this week. Got a soggy Ruben sandwich with no sauce. Also forgot my salad dressing and honey mustard. Pick another place. Food is average at best anyway.

The food here was pretty plain in taste. Being from Brooklyn i know what good dinner food is. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and when it came to my table i felt like i had to assemble the sandwich myself. The lettuce wasnt inside the bun, neither was the tomato and witout any mayo. You know, overall i wouldve looked passed this if the service wasnt so annoying here. The waiter kept asking me and my partner if everything was ok literally every 5 minutes. If anyone knows me personally they would know i dont like to be bothered when im eating. To those that might think im exaggerating this waiter came to our table literally every 5 minutes asking the same questions are you ok? is the food alright? When we told him the first 2 times everything is good. Then 10 minutes later he asks if we wanna pack it to go. Im not sure if he was trying to push my buttons, but the last bit was incredibly rude. I get it dude. im not from around there but have alittle decency and manners when dealing with people and dont try to rush them out because you might be alittle thrown off by who might be visiting your restaurant.

Local diner that has great food and pleasant and friendly service. All the times weve been here have been early in the day so it has just been a few locals and us and hasnt been busy. But each time weve been here its been a good experience. Definitely recommended if youre looking for some good comfort food.

Outstanding food and service. Doubt that I have ever seen a cleaner bathroom ever, fresh clean bleach smell such a welcome change. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food and brought home leftovers! Cant wait to go back. So much better than any other diner in the area.
