This place is so great. The staff are super nice. They do everything they can to get you in and out. And, you can watch them working on your car.

I brought my car in a couple weeks ago excited to get the 2 new tires I needed and alignment while I was at work just a mile away. Nice and easy. Ended up getting a call that I had suspension work that needed done and it was a pretty hefty price. But it needed done and Max was very helpful in getting the price down for me. I picked up my car that night and there was noise coming from the front and back end of the car that wasnt there before I brought it In. Turns out the parts they replaced were defective.. this happened 2 more times over the span of 18 days. Finally they decided to go through a different vendor for the parts, and I picked my car up today. But Im still left with questions, like why did they not hear those obvious noises when they pulled it out to the parking lot each time? What kind of auto shop doesnt allow their employees to test drive a vehicle? Also, the communication seems hard there. I was left confused on a couple occasions. Max and Kevin really are great, but I feel they need more adequate help.

This place is a joke. My daughter called and was told that for Stabilizer links and struts for the front of her car it would be $630 because they came as a package it was going to be cheaper. We went in and was convinced to have the rear shocks done as well for a total of $900 out the door. Dropped the car off on Saturday afternoon and was promised the vehicle would be ready before close…we’ll that didn’t happen. We were told that they broke a bolt and had to stop until they could get another bolt the next day. Next day comes and they were supposedly sent the wrong bolt. Finally get a call to pick the vehicle up at about 5pm and Max then quoted us a price of $1100 then stated that he did not replace the links that were supposed to be replaced but somehow still charged us for them. Max was nice when trying to get the work order…but then turned out to be totally dishonest. If my daughter would have gone there alone she would have been totally ripped off. If you want honesty and integrity DON’T take your vehicle here.

I brought my Jeep in to get new tires installed. They did very quick and efficient work. I will be returning next time I need a balance and rotation. Highly recommend.

These guys tried to rob me. I had to tell my vehicle to this location after the car was assessed I was told that parts on both my left and passenger side. This was on the seventh I didn’t end up getting my car back until around the 22nd waiting to pay $1,500 After waiting weeks to get a single part I had to order the parts locally ended up paying 650 in total and two of the parts that they wanted to replace were completely undamaged. Terrible customer service from having to deal with Max specifically.

A week ago a young friend of mine had his car towed in because of a tie rod problem and was quoted over $1000.00 for inner and outer tie rods on both sides of the car as well as a pair of struts because theyneeded to be replaced. The repair was authorized to be completed but they claimed they were having trouble getting the parts, in conversations we had i was told what was quoted i got involved and had the car picked up and taken to a different shop that I trust and as it turns out he only needed tie rods on one side and the struts were perfectly fine, the parts arrived the next day as quoted and the cost went from over $1000 to $500 including the tire!!! Shame on you Mavis for trying to upsale and in my opinion take advantage of a young man who didnt know better. This is the second time my family was way over quoted the cost of a repair, im done with Mavis.

I work in Joliet and I was leaving for the day when my car almost didnt start. I thought for sure it was the battery so in a panic I started Googling battery places in Joliet and came across Mavis. I called them to see if I could stop and Max told me I could come right in. They were really busy, it was the end of the day, but they got me right in and changed my battery. Everyone was really nice and Im so glad they helped me avoid what could have been a very long, much more expensive week night. Thanks Max and Team!!!

During a business travel I found there was a nail in the tire. I went to discount tire asking for help since I had an important meeting to attend. They told me the waiting time was 2 hours. So I googled and I found Mavis discount tire, I went there and they perfectly understood the situation. They fixed my tire in less than 15 minutes and the price was super reasonable. Kudos to the team. I don’t live in that area however I recommend to take in consideration them.

My son goes in after hitting a curb for an alignment. You tell him you’ll do a full front end inspection. Sell him on an alignment because nothing is bent. You’re right it’s broken! Then you upsell him on a power steering flush but miss the fact his subframe is broke? If you can’t see that break I would never recommend your shop to anyone.

I had to drive 3 hours home from my sons college after plugging my wheel on my tahoe. I get close to home and my air started to leak out from my own plug job. It was after 8pm and everyone was closed except for Mavis. I came in with 20min until closing time. They got me in to patch the 22in tire and got it done. These guys have great attitudes greeting you at the door. Nothing like a real business working up until the close and not turning you away because they are ready to go home before closing time. Mavis will get my business again for sure. Thanks fellas !!!

Purchased 2 tires and had a front brake job.Friendly and efficient staff, VERY accommodating and helpful. My technician Lila was quick, explained everything clearly and performed the repairs to without delay. The manager was also very nice and I heard him quite helpful with other customers as well. Highly recommend this shop.

Was without my car for 6 weeks due to engine repair. Had it for 3 days and it was making a terrible sound near front, of course on a Saturday evening. Took it to Mavis and they searched for the source of the sound, repaired it free of charge as it was related to engine repair. Also discovered I needed to repair my rear brakes. Super attentive and helpful!

Customer Service was great--provided me with coupons that I didnt have. Options were provided and explained. Car--tires, brakes, etc. were done quickly and efficiently. Someone stayed longer so I could get there to get my vehicle the day they were done. Thank you!!!

Best place to get you wheels swapped. Had new wheels put on today and I believe someone named Lila (maybe misspelled ) worked on it. She did a awesome job and the shop was very patient when I left to get lug nuts that I needed. Overall very professional

The peoples at Mavis Tires & Brakes by Joliet mall are straight up. Theyre knowledgeable technicians/mechanics and let me know exactly what needed to be done after checking things out. The work was done timely, with constant updates. Ive had work done there 3 times and each time they were complete pros. Good competitive prices too. Nobody likes getting car work done but they make it bearable.

This time around after they were bought out by another company which I cant remember at the moment. They were very courteous and received great service. Rick was amazing! Rest assured I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend working with Rick! ☆☆☆☆☆☆!

Kevin helped out with a bent alloy wheel leaking air and put the current wheel on a new OEM rim. Saved me a lot of time and busted knuckles.

I got a set of 4 wheels and one of them were running out of air so I went back and they couldnt determine what the problem was. They told me there was a 40 thousand mile warranty on the new tires and told me to come back if the air goes out. My tire actually popped and when I went back to get it replaced, they said that warranty is not an actual warranty and expected me to get a new tire from them. Just be careful with them before purchasing.

Just had the worst service at this location!!!! I came here a couple times before and loved them. I called yesterday to set an appointment for today for 4pm to an alternator replacement. I came here a little before 4 and they said they didnt have me down for an appointment. Then I told them I needed my van done tonight for work tomorrow. Well its 9pm and its still not done. I have to be up early in the morning for work.Tim you better make this right by me. Or you will NEVER get my service again

I just brought my tire in here and they helped me out big time replacing the valve. I actually own an automotive shop down the street and we went to air our customers tire and when taking the cap off it snapped the stem. With the way customer service has been going these days I wasnt expecting much because not many are willing to help another business owner out in our experience but boy was I wrong with this tire shop. Our customer was on their way to pick up their vehicle when this happened. The gentleman said he could help me out no problem, took the tire in the back, made the repair, aired up my tire and I was on my way. He did not have to drop everything to help me out but he did and I am so thankful.

So recently I brought my vehicle to this location and the two people I dealt with were fantastic! One was Dominic and the other was Ignacio. I would go out of my way to get my car serviced again at this location just because of them even though the location is not close to me!!

We had just returned from a trip on Sunday 9/12 and the tires on our car were all down 6 to 8 pounds of pressure. Being Sunday we looked for tire stores that were open and Mavis in Joliet came up,So we went there asked if they could help the gentleman told us to pull it in the shop ad he added air to all four tires . Aris and his team went above and beyond to correct a series of problems that didnt belong to them. They more than made up for poor service from a previous visits and restored trust in the company. He made sure that everything was fixed correctly and safely before letting me leave even though it was beyond closing time. With all the tire places out there, Ill be a Mavis customer as long as Aris is there!

Had to get some aftermarket rotors and breaks installed in my wrx on a time crunch. These guys knocked it out same day a few hours after I called. Great service and a great job done.

$60+ for an oil change and they didn’t even fill my washer fluid. Also said to see them soon for brakes. No idea how they could suggest that seeing as how they never removed the tires from the van 🤷‍♂️. I checked the brakes, 5-6mm of pad left both inboard and outboard on all 4 wheels, still perfectly good. I can go to Honda across the street and get a full service oil change for $39. Won’t return.

Was told by another shop that brakes were getting near repalcement; had them checked here and found brakes in good condition. No Charge!Very helpful.

I took my BMW To Marvis and the person at the front desk told me it would take 2 hours. It was 12 pm and then I didnt get my car BMW Until the next day. I called at 9am and they still was working on it. Possible because this was a BMW and they dont know how to work on a BMW. Plus after I got my car it had a long scratch on it. Some Guy name Aris suppose to be the manager told me this would be takin care of. Not I would never do business with this company

My tire went completely flat on Monday night -was able to get a tire repair appointment as early as Wednesday morning. The service was speedy and they were able to fix my tire for an incredibly reasonable price. Friendly service as well- 10/10 recommend!
