I love the Tampiquenia meat, very tasty. The restaurant was better in my opinion than the store experience. They sold me food that was a month away from expiring so I feel like if the tacos werent as great, this review would be different.

My family and I have been going here for a good 3 or 4 years but NEVER AGAIN! I feel like they may have new workers here. We went there and placed 2 separate orders on Friday, waited 20 minutes which isnt bad. We got home and more than half of one of our orders was missing, I only had one item and there was supposed to be 4. I called over 20 times all while getting into my car to drive bak there. When they answered I asked them to remake both orders fresh and I was on my way to get the food, THEY HUNG UP ON ME. When I walked in the door, they tried handing me the missing items. I said I would like you to please remake both orders fresh because now the other food is cold and I had to come all the way bak here because you guys forgot my food. One of them tried bringing me out a bag of 2 items, still missing items and not the whole order I asked for. 10 minutes later, she tried giving me the one missing item. I said look, I want both orders made fresh because all of the food is cold. She got someone else to come ask me what was going on, I asked her to make my orders fresh because we are still missing food and everything is now cold. I waited 15 minutes to get home and have ice cold food and it wasnt even made the way I asked for it. They charged me for sour cream and cheese on a taco, no sour cream or cheese. Charged me for cheese in a burrito, no cheese and it was literally cold to the touch. Needless to say, we were livid and will not be going bak there at all!!!

Tacos used to be better. The meat was hard the salsa verde is the best in the Joliet area though.

Well-stocked store with friendly staff. Very nice produce section. Check it out. The stores all so nicely laid out the way the Isles flow is not a gigantic store but its definitely good enough to fit your needs for groceries also it has an expensive meat counter

I love this store... meat is slight pricier than other stores but its definitely worth it, very fresh, and of course they have their specials too... unfortunately their produce selection is small so I always end up going to another store to finish my shopping.

Comfort Mexican Food? Yes, that is Casablanca. There is NO other place in Joliet where one can find such delicious & QUALITY food. If I am asked to bring a dish somewhere, I go to Casablanca. Excellent tacos, rice and the guacamole is admittedly, better than my own and everyone loves mine. My fave order: 2 tacos pastor with onion, cilantro and tomato & a side of rice & beans and if I am going to buy food for others, I always add a guacamole. Oh, and remember to ask for lime and their delicious peppers on the side!

Its a small place but its the best food in the Joliet area, no other restaurant has been able to beat their steak tacos and tortas. Both green and red sauces are delicious.

Best Mexican food period. I drive over 30 mins 1 way and pass atleast a dozen other Mexican joints to get there. The tampiquena is heavenly! I didnt know flavors like that existed, no joke. If you are ever near there, do yourself the favor.

Honestly this is the best place to get your fresh meat.. very good quality and also If you check their restaurant I highly recommend the “cooked carne al pastor” to take out.. good flavor better than other places... the only thing is on market and restaurant is super small.. very reduced place.. and sometimes the parking is a pain.

Last time we went there I order chiles rellenos and they taste nasty cheese and egg were old then I decide I wanted something else order Rice and Beans it was OK until i put salsa on it and the salsa have a piece of napkin inside after all,we got up and decide to leave... they charge everything waitress dont even apologies or anything

Eat here atleast a few times a month. Actually bought dinner from here tonight. One of the best mexican restaurants in town. Authentic. Nothing water down about this place. Only setback is that it has a small dining area. Thats ok...take it to go.

Tacos de Tampiqueña are delicious. I would put these tacos against any taqueria around here. Ive taken a few friends there to get them started on Casablanca. Its like a well seasoned Flank Steak. Very tender and great tasting. Salsa compliments the food. Im pretty loyal to this place. Born and raised in Joliet.
