Very dishonest service department and would not recommend dealing with these people under any circumstances. And the Toro products they sell are poorly made and poorly backed by the manufacturer.
Had the throttle cable replaced on my push mower. They were friendly and quick. It only took two days to fix the mower. They offer pick up and delivery in Kennewick. They did a good job but were a bit pricey I thought. It cost me $80
Horrible owner Keith, I was trying to buy a mower and was trying to ask about the specs and what he can do for pricing but he was being very rude.I wouldn’t waste my time or money at this place. Plus their prices are double than stuff you can get for cheaper at Home Depot or Lowe’s.
Really good place to buy fertilizer very friendly staff
I purchased a riding lawn mower and received fantastic customer service during this purchase. Within 2 weeks I broke the mower twice, due to my own mistakes. Once again they provided amazing customer service. I would recommend this company to anyone.
Very knowledgeable and great selection. Great customer service.
Excellent facility, clean and very helpful staff. Value most products are at market value, however, a few are quite a bit above market value. Although, it was a pleasure doing business at the Farmers exchange.
Whiled verily of all kinds plants, trees, and flowers. they are priced at a reasonable cost. Very pleasant place
They always have a great selection of flowers and vegetables and we come here every spring! Prices are good and staff is helpful.
The owner keith is horrible at customer service. He is Flatout rude and not good at owning a business at all!!. To all the locals and outsiders, do not waste your time or money at this company!
Bought one of their aluminum grass catchers for our Toro Zero turn, much less than the Toro kit with blower that is currently unavailable. Have not tried it yet.
Now get all my animals needs here. Knowledgeable and friendly
I have had a horrible time dealing with Farmers Exchange. We bought a riding mower in April and were told that we would have a bagger in 2-4 weeks. This has not happened and we never received the mower because we were waiting for it to be complete before delivery. When we found out that it could be until the end of June before we could get our mower, we looked into other options and found another mower at a different dealer. We called Farmers Exchange and asked to be reimbursed for the unit which they still had because they were unable to honor their promise of delivery in 2-4 weeks. The owner (Keith) outright refused and said they have a strict policy of once sold - no returns. He blamed COVID, and I understand it is hard to get parts but the only reason we bought the mower in the first place was because we were told it would be available in the 2-4 weeks maximum!. He has since insulted my wife and myself and been condescending when we insisted on a full refund. After calling and meeting in person a number of times they told us that they found a bagger for the unit and that we would have it delivered on Monday. If I insist on a refund they would charge a 25% restocking fee which would be about $1250. Be careful who you deal with and what you pay up front if the product is not immediately available. They are very unprofessional and quite condescending. I would recommend avoiding the business.
They have a great selection of lawn Care items. The staff is really knowledgeable and helpful.
The garden center is awesome and all the people that work there really help you.The lawnmower department was not a good experience -we did end up buying a lawnmower from them and so far that has been working great but the experience was horrible and very uncomfortable I believe his name was Keith. He really needs to work on his kindness and the way he comes across not only to his employees but his customers.
The guy at the cash register was so helpfull. I asked him which type of lavender, is used for medicinal purposes...he gets on his cell phone and looks it up for me.. French lavender, was the answer..
This is concerning the Service Department. I called on Thursday June 3rd 2021 and stated I purchased a 22 Toro Lawn Mower from another store in Hermiston Oregon less than a month ago. A piece of plastic broke off on the Brake cable and I need a new one. Ram stated to me they always have those in stock. I went in on Friday June 4th and was told they dont have any in stock. Ram told me that they can order and it will be 3-5 business days. I called on Wednesday June 9th, Ram told me that they did not order the part. Ram said he will look again and see if they have the part. Ram said he would call first thing Thursday June 10th tell me if they have the part that they didnt order. The reason of going to Farmers Exchange is that they are the TORO dealer for this area. Other than trying to get through the difficult phone line w/ TORO this was my option. They are the Toro Dealer.I spoke to TONY the MANAGER on June 10th. I explained my complaint. He said Okay. Then got off the phone. Didnt even try to remedy the situation.I hate that this is the place that I have to go to. I do not recommend buying a TORO mower if you live in the Tri-Cities or eastern Oregon. You to not want to deal with these people.LAST THING. THE PART IS ONLY A $12 PART. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THIS HARD.
We bought some meat chickens last week at this place and several have died/ more are looking sick. When contacting the store to see if they could do anything about it (we raise egg layers and hatch our own so we know the environment they need to thrive) the lady was very short and said “no”. We spent $150 and are very disappointed to say the least.
Great local business. I came here because they are the only full service Toro dealer in Tri-Cities. Their stage helped me with all the info I needed to choose a new electric mower. They delivered it to my house for free the same day. Its important to support local businesses. I could have bought the same mower at Home Depot, and maybe saved $10, but the people there at HD would not have the knowledge, support and roots in the community like Farmers Exchange has. I know that if I need help these guys will be here to help me and will stand behind what they sell. If you are considering a purchase of lawn equipment, you owe it to yourself to stop by Farmers Exchange and experience the difference for yourself. On a side note; Im glad I chose the Toro battery powered mower. Works just as well as my old gas mower, but much quieter, cleaner, easier to store and way less maintenance.
A good place for the hobbyist and professional. Very helpful personnel. Good prices.
From another time and place. Reminds me of the 50s and 60s. Love hangin out there.
Great place to buy locally grown plants for your garden or yard. Not sure if they do anything outside of garden season.
Great customer service and super selection of power equipment for yard, farm and forest work.Knowledgeable of the products they sell complete with service department.
Have received maintenance repair I past on our riding lawnmower....this time the blade deck was not adjusted correctly- I called and they would not rework or allow a discount. I called Liberty - they do free pickup and only have a 69.99 fee which will be discounted from service fees. If you want beat prices and service go to Liberty.
Keith the owner is not professional at all! Not sure on how he is running this business, but he is running it to the ground with his mouth!Save your time and money and go else where!
The garden center is awesome. Cory helped us out with knowing which plants like shade vs sun and was super helpful with a bunch of questions. He even threw in a little mushroom kit when he found out it was my wifes birthday. Their pot selection was excellent and very competitive. I have been here a couple times and am always very pleased.
Great plants. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great service and usually have what I am looking for.
Wonderful range of hobby farm related merchandise.
Great service.
Great local store that has some of the best quality outdoor plants and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly! We also get our fish food for our Koi and have found them to have the best prices and super cute toys for dogs! Good selection for all your farming needs!
Bad customer service!!! Employees are extremely rude to customers..
I would normally have given a five-star for Farmers Exchange as they are a local company and have excellent service. However, I have not ventured out very often during this covid-19 I went today because I understood the store to require masks. They did have a sign at the front door. On entering the tool area to shop for a battery operated chainsaw 1 out of 3 employees had a mask on. A second put his mask on a few minutes after I entered a third never did. I left there quickly and went to the Grain and Feed side of Farmers Exchange. Again the requirement for masks was posted. On entering the employees had masks and things were going well till I looked around the store and found that persons were shopping without a mask and with small children which were both contrary to what was posted. I got my bird feed and left.
Super knowledgeable. Super friendly. Highly recommend for lawn mowers and farm and feed.
Great quality for farmers, pretty healthy plants
Very dismissive. Don’t think I will ever go back.
Terrible service. Called down four times to get information regarding my mower. First call was to find out how long it would take to simply diagnose the issue(s). Guy on the phone was a complete @ssh*le. Finally told me it would be a week. Next few phone calls were with three different people and all of them gave me conflicting info. The last one, Tony is apparently the shop service manager. He did not provide anything remotely close to service during the call. I was admittedly irritated with my previous experience/calls and he could have easily diffused the situation with some empathy and proactive measures, but he opted to be passive aggressive and tell me they could just send back the unit without further assistance. Take your business to any one of these places for people that care: Liberty Lawn & Saw Shop in West Richland, EFC Equipment in Richland or RDO Equipment Co in Pasco.
Very helpful salesman.
Always a good experience there.
My parents got there Christmas tree here they always go back to the same place for there tree. Reasonably good prices and beautiful trees to choose from. My parents got a pink flocked tree this year and yes it was beautiful sight. Loved it.
Awesome help. Took some weed samples in from my lawn and Ken spent over an hour with me identifying and suggesting products to remove them. Hes a wealth of knowledge. Others were friendly and helpful also. They have lots of lawn products I had been purchasing online and cheaper.
Good help there.
Its was excellent.. clean and organized. They had exactly what I was looking for and helped me with a smile and I was out of there in less then 5 minutes with the items. Prices were lower then i expected and it was a great experience. Ill shop there again and recommend it to anyone after hardware that hard to find elsewhere.
Selection is good, but had a hard time finding someone that would give me the time or day. I wasnt just kicking tires either. Hopefully, they work on commission. I bought a nice new husqvarna lawnmower, after I had finally got input on different models.
Have gone in twice and had poor service from Sean in parts department. Refused to order parts since they didnt have them in the store and said they dont order any. Went back a different time and different employee was helpful and ordered the part needed. Not going back again.
The people there are always awsome. Sometimes I go in there knowing what I need but dont know what its called. They always figure it out for me.
I found their customer service and equipment dept. outstanding. Very professional fixed my mower in no time and ordered and assembled my snow blower as well. Shout out to Levi! Thanks dude, keep up the good work!!!
Went in for a cheap snowblower. Left with a much better one for about the same price. They do not work on commission, so they just try to sell you what you need vs what you think you need.Love it. Have purchased several things here over the past several years. Every time I leave, I think to myself, why didnt I just go here 1st...
Horrible service. Spent 522.00 to fix a PTO that would not come on as well as a new belt and new shafts for the three blades. Took the mower to my mtn property, started it, pulled the PTO button to start the blades, NOTHING. Work order said tech tested it. Nonsense. Called. Bring it back. We will fix. 100 miles one way. No thanks. They had it for over two weeks. Should have worked. Spent three hours and found poor electrical connection. Fixed it and it runs fine now. Never go back for anything
They have great service
Super nice people and great plants. I love to get my vegetable plants there!
I got my plants for the garden and was helped by a very lovely helpful young lady.
Friendly, knowledgeable people.
Needed a new belt and blades for my mower. Walked in and got the parts I needed and was out of there in like 2 minutes. Knowledgeable people and the prices were way lower than I expected. I will be shopping there again
True old fashion service. We buy feed and other little farm stuff here like chickens in the spring. It’s always a pleasant experience to walk in and get what ya need with some great advice. Support local business! Highly recommend!
Its not just a lawnmower store they carry everything you need for your yard your farm your animals and your flower beds. Along with great customer service and reasonable prices. Locally owned.
Poor Service. Warrant help sucks. Do not by any of the lawn tools. Products are great. Service, go elsewhere.
Came in today to surprise my 10 year old with a new mower. Unfortunately I got him one he didnt want. No worries, a well known company, lets take it back. Sorry, 25% restocking fee. Nowhere did I sign anything where it stated that, no it was not clearly posted and I wasnt notified during my purchase. Pushed through like self check out at Walmart. Horrible customer service and attitude. Thanks for treating me and my 10 year old like garbage. We sure appreciate it. I will be buying my back pack blower, hand blower, edger and all my other needs elsewhere. Never will I step foot in your store again.
Best service in the tri cities!
I love shopping at this place. They are absolutely the most knowledgeable and wonderful people. Lots of beautiful flowers and great value
We only went for a Christmas tree, but man did they make it easy! They delivered, too! Very very nice people!! Will definitely be going there again.
During seasonal times a good place to visit and find some plants to adding to the landscape of your yard. Ive bought several plants here and they are doing well in my yard.
Great inventory and customer service. Got a great deal on an echo chain saw there a few years ago that cuts great. Just went to buy a single oil unit for a gallons worth of premix, about all I need for the season, and they gave it to me no charge.
We searched big box stores and couldnt find help or what we needed. The we found Farmers Exchange! Knowledgable staff x10. I dont waste my time on big box stores for lawn, garden, pets and pests and chain saw repair too. What a full service experience!
Polite service
Parts counter is incompetent, doesnt matter if its chainsaw blades, lawnmower blades, carburetors, etc. They simply dont know how to order the correct part. This is totally inexcusable given that all replacement parts have been for tools/equipment i bought from them over the years.Normally I would 100% support a local business but DO NOT USE THEIR PARTS COUNTER OR EQUIPMENT REPAIR!As far as their sales goes... No complaints, thats why I gave them the 2 star rating instead of a 1 star rating.
Really helpful staff. Checked out an issue I was having with my mower, solved it, and even washed the mower for me.
Beware of Farmers Exchange service department, as well as their owner Keith. They do not technically have free pick up and drop off of your new equipment, as they advertise. My new Husqvarna zero-turn mower had a light come on. So my husband, Levi, called and explained the light and the service guy said it needed to come in and be seen. Cool, its under warranty as the service guy confirmed, no big. I left town, and they came and picked the mower up. They had it for a couple days, which was fine. When it got dropped off, a bill was left with it. Which, needless to say, was quite a surprise. They did an oil change on it without calling us or even telling us what the issue with the mower was. Apparently it only needed an oil change, but from what the service guy said to Levi on the phone, it appeared to be more than that. So we were sitting with a $67.00 bill for an oil change that we didnt want since we have the stuff to do it ourselves. My husband called Farmers Exchange and spoke to the service manager, who was of no help, so my husband was connected to Keith (the owner).Levi told me Keiths solution was to trade the hour meter for one that would read zero hours. Keith said they do that all the time in their shop and showroom. Keith also said we had to pay the bill or we would be sent to collections TODAY. Levi said Keith got super mad at him on the phone and was getting loud/ condescending. Levi said he hung up at that point because he didnt want to be yelled at.Levi called me blown away by the conversation he had with Keith. So I told Levi I would give him a call and see what was going on.I called and got ahold of Keith quickly. I think he thought I wanted to argue or something, his voice was shaky and he sounded like he was upset. We had a similar conversation he and Levi had. Keith told me he assumed we wanted the oil change done. I told him a phone call or something would have been nice, since we had no idea they would perform a service AND charge us for it. He said it is on their wall there that they have a minimum price they will automatically conduct work. I said thats a problem since neither Levi or myself had been in the service department, they came and got the mower from my home in Burbank. I also said a quick phone call or even a heads up wouldve been nice. But no one said a word.Keith also thought it was Levis fault that he didnt know exactly what the light meant on the mower. He did start to get condescending towards him, but I said regardless, theyre a professional shop they need to let people know whats going on, simple or not. Keith also told me he would have the meter replaced. He also said they do it all the time for new mowers in the showroom that show higher hours... In my opinion, as well as my husbands, that seems very unethical and misleading.I guess my point is, they arent as customer service oriented as they try to seem, and it is apparent they have low ethical values when it comes to performing work on their customers machines. I am very disappointed in the outcome of the conversation I had with Keith and the way they choose to conduct business. I was planning to purchase other equipment from them in the not so distant future. On the plus side, I had a very lovely conversation with a gentleman from Liberty Lawn and Saw Shop who assured me they can help us out and be up front in the future. Looks like they have gained my future business and purchases, while Farmers Exchange has lost it. I guess a $67.00 bill is worth losing thousands of future dollars over...
Second time dealing with this company with thawing Customer service that is horrible. Went into check on a simple front wheel for my lawnmower. Was told they couldn’t look it up with just the make. Quoted me a price 3x over what I see them online. Will be ordering online.
Tried to call for information and they dont answer the phone they have a message telling you to go to there Facebook page what if you dont use Facebook what kind of business are they running a social media one..Im very disappointed in this company.
Stopped by to pick up some Ghost Pepper and Trinidad Scorpion chili plants. They have a wide variety of fruit and vegetable plants as well as flowers.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Bought a riding mower and it was delivered within a couple of hours with no issues. They answered any questions I had before I purchased my Toro. I would definitely return and buy more items from them.
Your go to place for all your home and gardening needs. They do small engine repairs and will even store your lawn mowers for winter, plus tune ups in spring. Good prices. I get my flower and vegetables from here each year. Always deals and special offers going on, to save you even more. Trees shrubs, potting and soil. Hard to find plants. I scored on free potato seedlings their one yr.Amazing service and assistance and very knowledgeable.
Mechanics that neglect to put oil in mowers before starting them and return it with no oil. Then blame customer. Also inability to sell the correct spark plug. Management has a look after its own type of mentality and failed to even investigate my complaint immediately shut down any possibility that its employees may have made a mistake. Recommend going to any other small engine service company.
Cory in the garden area was very helpful and knowledgeable.
The help are super friendly always greeted right away and super helpful on questions about products.
Heads and tails above the big box stores! When you go into the store with a lawn problem, they are extremely adept at identifying the problem and providing a solution. Its refreshing to deal with a store staff who know what they are talking about! Yes, in some cases you can save a few dollars at a big box store, but youll never get this level of customer service.
Extremely poor customer service, used the store and service for my mower. Picked up mower would not work. Dropped it off and was told they would have it ready next business day as I was in and out of town. A WEEK later they called and said noting wron and they could deliver in another WEEK! My mower had never had any issues and they have it for one winter and it would not run after getting it back. Service rep said it was my fault and nothing was wrong. Next year I’m going to Columbia Grain and Feed for my service needs.
Farmers Exchange is a local business with knowledgable staff. They have a great selection of plants, from fruit and veggies to flowers, bushes and trees. Plants I have purchased from them have been healthier than ones at big chain stores in town. Shop local. Support Kennewick Downtown.
Juat got an amazing christmas tree. Great service great selection and prices. Plus i found out they do free delivery for trees. Didnt kniw that
Happy squirrels have humans shop here for their peanuts and garden supplies. Lol!
My chickens love their food !
Needed parts for 20 year old snow blower they got them to me in three days. Great service
Family owned, friendly, knowledgeable, local, I purchase the compact hay bales for my 2 goats there.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Excellent supplies for baby chicks on hand and much more
Great place to go for garden, farm & pet supplies. A wide variety of products at good prices. I buy seed & plants for the garden in the spring and summer. I buy pet & farm supplies year round.
I am impressed. They knew the product. Did not try to sell us something we were not ready to purchase yet.
Likes to put personal ex family issues ahead of his business.
Horrible....I bought a brand new weed eater with additional commercial grade head..the head wint work right and they wont help me..basically told me that it was what was and the blow out the head with an air compressor but it wont work like at all.. and they wont help...the serivce guys are very nice but their warrenty policy for something that is less than 30 days old is insane. would not recommend at all this place will never get my money again
Have always helped me to best of their ability in parts and in purchasing new products. Have always been willing to work a deal for me for frequent business. My go to place for red max equipment.
We purchased a refurbished lawn tractor from Farmers Exchange. Right after we started using it, we had a problem with the deck belt breaking. We replaced it with one from Farmers Exchange, and that one broke in less than an hour. When we went to Farmers for a replacement, thinking they would stand by their product, they were incredibly rude, implying that it was an old belt. They did not even bother to check their records to see that we had bought it just a couple days earlier. They told us the problem could be with the pulley, so today we checked the pulley, only to find that it was just sitting on the tractor deck, not attached in any way at all. Its not even the pulley that is supposed to go on that lawn tractor, a Craftsman DYT4000. When I spoke to Keith at Farmers Exchange, he told me that since we had bought it used, there was absolutely no warranty. I understand that there is no warranty, but we bought a refurbished lawn tractor, and this was clearly not refurbished. I have had good service in the store and in the garden center, but the service center is worse than useless. We have spent nearly $100 on the two belts, and now we will need to spend another $40 on a pulley to essentially refurbish the lawn tractor ourselves.
I purchased my mower a few years ago here and decided to have them store it and service it over the winter. Of course, they found a few things that had to be fixed to the tune of 400$. I went with it without much complaint. They returned my mower to me a few weeks ago, so I jumped on it to get the first now of the year done...well I made it about 15 with the blade engaged before it started barreling smoke. I disengaged the blade and tried it again. Same thing except this time it was throwing sparks. I shut it off and looked at it to discover they had not properly replaced the belt and it was freyed and smoking. Upon calling they told me it could be picked up and looked at in a few weeks because they were busy. After a bit of an argument they picked it up in 2 days. They brought it back about a week later and were nice enough to CHARGE me for the belt. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN
Super helpful and amazing service. I was looking for a particular item and they ended up going up stairs into their storage room just to make sure they had it and it turned out they did so I was able to leave with item so yay!
I just called and spoke to a young lady Jennifer, who was amazing. She was very pleasant, and patient looking up parts/pricing.
Love this place!
WowI really like that place when Im not spending money.Dan j
I bought a new Husqvarna lawn mower so far so good love the people in there
Usually always helpful and they do a Lot. not only sell lawn and garden equipment, but also repair equipment.
The only place we found to get propane tanks refilled. Propane dealers dont fill RV tanks anymore!
This is a GREAT place for all your gardening needs and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
