Very unorganized at this dealership, from service to sales. The owner needs to get this under control before they lose all their business.This dealership is not willing to make deals. So I went down the street to Imlay City and bought from them. They sure missed out.

Scheduled a 7:30 a.m. appointment online and arrived to find out their techs don’t arrive until 8 a.m. and was told I shouldn’t have been able to select that time. They need to fix that. It took an hour to get an oil change and tire rotation. A bit frustrating with those two things, but the service tech did a fine job.

Everyone there was very patient with me during my visit to purchase new tires for our families F150 & Ford Escape. Things on my end changed there about 3 times on tires, and yet with smiles & being so pleasant. The people and mechanics in the service Dept. are also great and do their work very well. I always feel, leaving there that I drive to Texas and not worry about either vehicle. It is a pleasure to write this review.
My car was towed to the dealership toward the end of March for a chip issue. My car was finally finished at the end of August. I was called when it was dropped off and when it was done. I was not called once in between. I understand that it was not the dealerships fault the the chips where back ordered. But I would expect a call, email or text every couple weeks to be the bare minimum expectation from a business that cares about its customers. I saw no sign of customer care from this dealership and it certainly did not make me want to do further business with them.
Took truck in for a few repairs. (Window,door lock) diagnosed problems quick but had to drop truck off at another time that worked for me. Had to pay for it up front prior to finding out actual cost after warranty. Eventually got truck fixed still have no idea about what out of pocket cost is, never heard back after being told I was going to get a refund. Work on truck was completed as I expected though.
I took my 2008 escape in because my water pump went out. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Kayla McKee.When I explained the problem she told me because of the amount of cars coming in it would be about 5 days before they could look at it and a few more after they ordered the parts. Kayla called me the next Monday said they were ordering the parts and 2 days later it was ready. When someone keeps their word I dont mind the wait. Thanks Kayla and Ford

They were kind enough to send a member of their staff to pick me up, half an hour away from their location.JD was the salesman that helped me, and he was fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgeable. I had to call to fine out what was happening to my truck. When I talked to someone, he stated that the truck was being test driven and he would call back. So I waited. It took 2 days to check the truck out and the service department never called. When I finally talked to someone again, I was on hold for 20 minutes. The call went back to ringing and the person I was on hold for answered the phone like he did not know he had a call waiting for him. Oh your truck is all set. Ask what they found, we did the updates. Nothing about what my truck was doing! Or they could not or did fine the problem. Then he did not have the paper work ready and stated he would send it to me. I have never had such a poor service experience as this.

I was told of a detailing special that was being offered. My car is not a Ford, but was reassured that it didn’t matter.I am thoroughly impressed with the job that was completed on my car! It is nearly 5 years old, but it looks brand new! Kudos to the detailed that are employed by Milnes!
I’m very happy with the service I received at Milnes Ford. I had an unexpected repair that came up late in the day on a Friday. I had my car towed to the dealership, I was told that they were super busy but would try to get to my car in between appointments. I completely expected that my car would be there for at least several days. To my surprise I received a call Monday that it was all set. As a single mom & a one car household I’m so thankful that they were able to fix my car quickly & get it right back to me. They were great!
Recall was done as required, reason for the four star review was when the car was returned to us the front seat had a pretty good size grease or oil stain on the front drivers side seat. The seat was very clean when we left it. My wife had to show it to the service person who apparently never noticed it, while they took it back after being questioned and cleaned it it should never have been returned to us in that condition
I am so impressed with Milnes Ford! I am new to Lapeer & I had an existing problem with my 2020 Ford Escape which hadn’t been resolved for months down in Cincinnati.I pull into the service bay at Milnes and they diagnose the problem right there on the spot.They had me back in the same week and fixed my window completely!My total time in the dealership between the two appointments was less than an hour and the whole problem was resolved within a week!Cody is the service member who helped me and he was so professional and so kind and so good at his job that I just can’t say enough good things about him and the whole service department at Milnes Ford.Thank you so much! 2016 Ford F-150 purchased new at Milnes. All maintenance is done at Milnes. 81k miles on truck. “Lug nuts are swollen. All 24 need to be replaced. It’s a known issue.”Wish they would have let me know about this before I bought the truck. It’s not a big issue, but it makes you wonder what other “known issues” are out there. If it’s a known issue, why do I have to pay for the replacement when they know it’s a problem. Probably more of a Ford issue than a Milnes issue, nonetheless, I’m not satisfied.

Most of the time they are good. Last experience is they said it would take 30 min. After 1.5 hour I finally asked and they said it was done. Never letting me know, as I was in the waiting area. Just communicating that it was going to take longer would have been a nice courtesy.
The salesman was knowledgeable, definitely knew his product and was willing to answer questions regarding the operation if the vehicle. The manager was personable and prepared. I was disappointed that I did not notice the windshield crack before we drove the car off the lot. I was also disappointed that the salesman did not draw it to our attention. This is our second experience with Milne Ford. We were treated fairly and respectfully and not patronized because of our age.
I was detailed on what I wanted and was surprised at the finished product. All there services exceed my expectations and I would highly recommend their detail shop for any vehicle. Quality price and customer service was above excellence.
Had an oil change appointment which was made 2 weeks before hand for 11:00 on 3/27. Arrived at service 10 minutes prior to appointment. Another customer arrived at same time, both of us walked in to no one at the service desk, waited a few minutes and someone came to help. No big deal.The other customer and I both had oil change appointments at 11:00. Gave the service guy my keys and walked over to Walmart. 45 minutes later walked back to dealer to my car still sitting in service garage. At noon, the other customer whom had an 11:00 oil change appointment was finished. My car still sitting in service garage. Fast forward to 1:00 pm and still waiting for them to finish oil change. Went up to service desk to see what was going on. Saw my car get finished up and parked outside. 5 minutes later service guy is in garage talking with employees, he sees me and tells me they finished up and I am all set.End story: over 2 hours for an oil change even with making appointment? It wasn’t busy. Seems asinine to wait for over two hours for an oil change.I am assuming service manager doesn’t work weekends. I can tell.Will be going to other dealer from now on
I’m very pleased with my experience! I am shocked every time I step into my vehicle after I take my car there for a detail, comes back looking brand new. You can’t beat the service for the price. I went in to get an oil change. To my surprise it included a tire rotation for no extra cost. They were reasonably fast. About 20 min. Everyone was friendly. And it cost only $50. Which I have paid that at a speedy oil change and it didnt include the tire rotation.
Great place under staffed, had some people sitting in back counter with lap top and phone, looked very tacky. Great service begins with them.

Just bought a car from a different dealer and transmission totally failed, took it to Milne Ford. I have a extra warranty....which I was very scared wouldnt work. Kayla in the service dept jumped through hurdles to take care of me! Cody the service tec did a fantastic job fixing the car. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THEIR CAR THERE!!

I took my vehicle in for warranty work. I have the factory warranty and an extended warranty. After telling me that neither of my warranties cover a powertrain issue, they nail me with a 122 dollar diagnostics fee. What good is a powertrain warranty if it doesnt cover the powertrain? Ive had transmission, fuel pump, turbo solenoid, and touch screen problems on my Ford escape all within the last 3 months. Buyers beware of the Escapes.

Took vehicle in for oil change. Given estimate time of 45 min. Went to check status after 1 hr 45 mins. Work was completed 1/2 hr earlier. Wasted 1 hr of my time beause Tech put work order in wrong basket??? I know stuff happens, but there must b a better way?
I called on a Used Audi for sale. They contacted me back and answered questions re; engine and transmission. Stating that they both were in great shape. Blue book on this car was 3950 but they had it for sale at 6100.00. Drove put to test drive and the transmission was winding and grinding. This dealership should be reported to the better business Bureau. If I could give 0 stars I would. Then they didnt even say sorry. Took 2 hours off work to come test drive. All women Beware as they will take advantage of you the worst.

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking for good customer service. I was in the process of purchasing a vehicle from them and planned on picking it up a few days after I test drove it. Between the time of the test drive and the time that I went back to pick it up, the price of the vehicle dropped on the website. When I drove an hour and a half back to the dealership to pay for it, not only was the vehicle not ready to go, they also would not honor the price drop of the vehicle. I let it slide. Then I handed them a check for over $23,000 for the vehicle and received my keys with a broken key fob... When I asked to have it replaced they said probably not. At this point, I just wanted to leave. The vehicle was already paid for anyway. Then I get in it to leave and there was only a quarter of a tank of fuel in it and still had a stain on the seat that could have easily been removed.... On top of all of this, I contacted the manager, Ken, the following day to make him aware of the service I received and he assured me that he would make it right even though they had a problem with the vehicle that I traded in and that he would have my salesman contact me. I spoke to my salesman, Dakota, and asked them to send me the funds to replace the key fob and he read my message and never responded.

Had to wait 3 days for tires still never did get them went to belle tire they were awesome my air filter was so dirty no one said a word about it. I will never go back to you or recommend you ever. The best part was cody in service he was great all around thanks anyway.

Dropped my Ford Flex off for some service here, over the Christmas holiday. They were friendly and helpful. The car was in good shape when they gave it back, and they even sent a shuttle to pick me up so I didn’t have to grab a cab or an Uber when it was time to pick it up. Kayla in service was knowledgeable and kept me up to date on the process and progress.

Had problems with the service department years ago. Gave them a try again for a recall on my vehicle for a break booster. I was given back a vehicle that wouldnt go over 45mph, the taillights never shut off and the battery doesnt stay charged. They made it right but the problems shouldnt have happened in the first place. And they definitely should have been noticed BEFORE the customer picked the vehicle up and took it home for the weekend. How do you not see that the taillights never shut off? Wouldnt it be a clue that there is some sort of issue when you have to jump a vehicle to give it back to the customer? Not a happy customer and will be going elsewhere from now on. I tried to give them a chance again. That was my fault.

Brought a 2008 F350 with roughly 85k on it. Had brake problems, a tensioner pulley starting to make noise and no A/C. I was told the tensioner pulley was not making any noise so they could not do anything with that. They could not find anything wrong with the brakes, but did fix the A/C. Bad mixer motor. Picked the truck up after hours, brakes are making a new noise and the tensioner pulley still making noise. Took the brakes apart and the inside of the calibers are shot. Wonder if they even looked at them. I will be doing the repairs myself or looking for a local mechanic from here on out.

Oil changes were like many Ford Dealerships 30 min. wait. Parts department was very informative about what battery choices I had.

Took an hour out of my day for my first oil change full service that includes battery check tire rotation and tire pressure check. When I left my tire pressure sensor and ford pass detection were sounding off. F250 tremor is brand new and recommended pressure is 60 front 80 back! The front tires were 85/84 and the back were 67/56 with sensors indicating low tire! I didnt have time to go back and had to take another half hour out of my day to fix the pressures Id already paid for to be changed. I know its the smallest detail for a big complaint but its details that matter and if theyre doing these wrong I cant trust anything else is right. No one ever helped recommend oil type or correct service for my new truck. I know everyone is busy but they sure go out of the way for you when your buying a new truck just wish it was same afterwards.

I have been a GM Man my whole life since my Dad worked for GM for over 25 years and have owned only GM vehicles since I could drive, HOWEVER I had a chance to buy a 2010 Ford Fusion in like new condition for only $2000.00 and just couldnt refuse it. It needed service to the Airbags because of the recall and I took it to Milnes and was treated like a king and was given a loaner vehicle with only 2000 miles on it which was also a Fusion. AWESOME Vehicle and even more awesome service. I am a definite convert, Well I still look at GM first but consider Ford now as well.
Service was good in person but over the phone they need to get more people in there because I have called on 3 occasions and every time I was on hold for over 9 minutes. One of those times I actually drove there while on hold and then hung up as I walked into the door because I thought I might get to speak to someone faster. But once you actually get through to someone they were polite and helpful
This is my second purchase from Milnes Ford. My salesman was excellent to work with along with the Sales and Finance Managers. My decision to return to Milnes was cemented by the service I received from the crew in the Service Dept. over the past three years.

Ive had two different vehicle there this summer, and even though there short handed, and cant get parts,they have bent over backwards,to help.
Made an appointment to get airbags replaced almost a week in advance. My car sat at Milnes Ford from 10a-3p on Monday without service. I went in around 12p because they said it would take about and hour to an hour and a half and the lady at the service desk told me that they were just waiting on some paperwork. I had to finally call them around 3p to find out that they didn’t have my airbags in stock and they couldn’t service my vehicle until the next day-Tuesday. The only thing they offered me was a free oil change. Took my car in Tuesday and after a little over 2 hours my car was done. However, when they took out my paneling for the airbags my auxiliary cord didn’t get hooked back up correctly. The two ladies at the service desk were rude and unfriendly. One of them was complaining about a customer on the phone after she had hung up with her. The maintenance guy I dealt was less rude but non empathetic to the whole situation of having to waste two days of having my vehicle in the shop. And now my auxiliary cord connection is not even hooked back up and is currently unusable. They ripped things apart and didn’t even hook them back up properly. Most of their workers weren’t wearing their masks properly or at all times either but they made sure there are signs posted everywhere that say “Please don’t make us ask you to wear a mask.” If you like your time wasted, your vehicle treated careless, and rude customer service head on over to Milnes Ford in Lapeer!
Leased a car from them exsperiance could have been better but it was a rush job so no complaints. First oil change was ridiculous. I made an appointment! If you are having problems change your service page. I shouldnt sit here for an hour and a half for a half hour service no matter what you offer for my convenience. Your people can be very rude. I walked up and instead of yes or can I help you? All three of them just turned around and looked at me. I get that one was eating lunch but seriously! Stop making excuses for your employees seen not wearing masks . If I walked around with a camera you wouldnt be happy. This happens at most places where there are not designated places for employees to take their masks off. Independent Women this dealership is not for you they dont care about us go somewhere else. Men with alot of time on your hands you should be fine.

I saw what I saw!I wish I had read Sandra’s review below before I went to Milnes Ford in Lapeer. It was my first and last time there. When I arrived at the service department, I was also greeted by two employees with masks below their nose and one with no masks at all. There is not 6’ of distance at the service desk. The majority of the employees either did not have masks or they were worn improperly. Most had no mask at all or they were on their necks. Same in the lounge area customers did not have masks.After reading the response to Sandra review from the GMMr. Milnes states there are safety protocols in place that is simply not true. Kicker… I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. They only did the oil change. Think I will go somewhere else for the tire rotation.Stay safe!
